《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 44 - Don't forget
Advertisement
Bob trained with Ace for two whole days, he didn't really rest at all. Fighting with each other, talking about the past these things were fun for Bob. Ace even tried to recruit Bob to join the Whitebeard pirates, but Bob declined.
It was funny, Ace tried to recruit Luffy and his crew too in the manga.
When their time was up, Ace gave Bob his vivre card. He told Bob that they'd meet again someday with that card.
Bob gave up Blackbeard's location, but Ace said he wanted to meet up with Luffy first before he continued to chase Blackbeard.
Bob didn't have a problem with that.
Things seemed to continue to progress in the way the story normally would. Bob did not see anything change, but he feared something might have been altered. He just did not know what yet.
Bob knew that Ace was much stronger than himself and Dalton, so he asked Ace about his devil fruit.
Ace did not know much about it, but he said if they met later he could introduce him to Marco. As Marco was also a Zoan devil fruit user and his control over his powers was the best he's ever seen.
However, Ace did teach Bob a few tricks. He did not know much about Zoan devil fruit users but what he did know he told Bob.
Things were different being here in this world. Seeing it on screen and reading about it, it just wasn't the same as experiencing it in real life.
Bob was sad to see Ace go, but he knew he had to.
Things must progress.
With Ace's departure, Bob continued to train hard, day in and day out. When Dalton had time he sparred with Bob as well. Although Dalton wasn't much of a challenge for Bob, Bob could see that compared to before Dalton was changing.

Bob couldn't put his finger on it, but Dalton seemed different.
The days went by and everything on Drum Island was peaceful.
"So, let me see how much you guys have improved."
Bob said as he stood in front of his crew members.
"You plan on fighting us?"
Bob nodded his head.
"Naturally. If you guys face Dalton you'll use tactics you learned to try and show off. I thought i'll change things up a bit."
"I'll go first."
Luna stepped forward.
Bob fought against all four of his crew members and was surprised by their growth. He watched them spar with Dalton a few times, but after a while he stopped watching. During the time he wasn't looking these guys improved dramatically.
Still, they had a long way to go.
Bob dealt with them all quickly, but Tiffany the girl with blonde hair and long ears managed to have her arrow touch Bob.
Out of all of them she was the only one that managed to touch Bob.
"I'm a man of my word. Compared to before I see that you all have come a long way, I really can't tell who improved the most out of all of you. However, seeing as how Tiffany was the only one to touch me during combat she'll receive the devil fruit. Unless she doesn't want to."
Bob handed over the pink devil fruit to Tiffany.
"Can I really have it?"
Bob nodded his head.
"Yes, but remember if you eat it there is no turning back. While you'll be able to gain powers out of this world, you'll suffer dearly if you end up in the water."
Tiffany did not even think about it and ate the devil fruit right there.
After five seconds a gust of wind surrounded her body.

"How do you feel?"
Bob asked her.
"I don't really feel much different. However, I feel intune with the wind."
"Can you control it?"
Bob asked her.
"Let me try."
Tiffany swirled her hand and a gust of wind emerged from it.
"This is all I can do."
Bob nodded his head. He didn't expect her to be a master once she got her powers.
"Wind huh? You can do a lot with that, train it well."
Tiffany got excited and nodded her head.
While Bob was discussing things with his crew members a man ran into the town.
"Pirates! There are pirates here!"
"What? Pirates?"
Bob saw that the men in the town were grabbing their guns and rushing towards where the pirates were located.
Bob shook his head.
"They seem to have arrived a bit earlier than expected."
Bob said to himself, but his crew members heard him.
"Who arrived here?"
Sasha asked.
"A friend and his crew. Let's wait here, we'll see how things play out."
A minute later Dalton came out from his home.
"Where'd everyone go?"
He asked Bob.
Bob pointed in a direction.
"They went off that way, you should be able to catch up to them."
Dalton nodded.
"Dalton. Don't forget what I told you before."
"I won't forget!"
