《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 57 - Movement
Advertisement
Days went by with no trouble being coming Bob's way. It was good for him, but he found things a bit too quiet. Bob assigned Tiffany to watch the rebel army and let him know when they were making their move.
So far they were still held up at camp.
'It's already day 9, why hasn't there been any movement yet?'
Bob asked himself.
He's been here for 8 days already, and he expected there to be some movement. Bob felt as if he was forgetting something, but couldn't put his finger on it.
During his time here he's been helping Kureha with the hospital, making sure everything was building built the way she wanted. The hospital plan was going fine, it was just the process of waiting for the construction to finish. Even when that was done, she still needed to have equipment.
Besides helping Kureha, Bob was also seeing Charles progress with the two songs he gave him. Everything was going well, and it was turning out to be even better than he imagined.
Bob allowed John to take his crew with him to hunt down other pirates that were here at Alabasta. It was good for them to move their body and experience different situations.
John's growth stunned Bob and they only parted ways for a little bit. The next time he saw Ron, he would hold his expectations high.
Bob was sitting down with his legs crossed trying to remember something about the Alabasta arc. He felt like he was close to remembering, but he couldn't bring those memories forward.
His den-den mushi started to ring, Bob quickly answered it.
"Hello?"
"Bob, the rebel army has just made their move. They are rushing out of the gate now!"
Tiffany said on the other side of the phone.

"Follow them, they should be heading towards the palace. If Crocodile wants to start a war, i'll give him a war."
Bob hung up the den-den mushi and called John.
"John, how fast can you get to the palace?"
"The kings palace? Eh, two hours minimum."
"Go there now. Send Rasa back here, I need her to steer the sand ship."
"Roger."
Bob started making plans.
"Charles!"
Bob yelled and Charles rushed downstairs.
"Yes?"
"Get your stuff, your about to have your debut."
Charles smiled.
"Ok!"
Bob already prepared for this, he put speakers all over the sand ship. All that was needed was for Rasa to steer it while Charles and his friends played.
Things felt rushed and out of place, Bob was lucky he had obtained den-den mushi's or else he'd never be able to pass along this information.
"Wait. If the rebel army is rushing out right now, that means the Strawhats were captured by Crocodile. They should be locked up somewhere here."
Bob started to remember something from the arc. Crocodile caught Luffy and his crew, while he tied up Vivi. He left with Robin thinking they'd drown, but it failed as Vivi managed to unlock the cage.
If that was the case, then Crocodile should be somewhere here in Rainbase city.
Elsewhere, Vivi was on her knees crying as she watched Crocodile leave.
"Luffy…"
Crocodile stopped and turned around.
"Are you begging for your life Strawhat? I guess everyone fears death."
"If we die here… Who's going to kick your ass!?"
Luffy shouted.
"Don't get ahead of yourself little one."
Crocodile spoke as he snapped his fingers.
The floor lifted up and a giant crocodile emerged.
"Vivi! Run!"
A man with blond hair shouted as he clutched the bars to the cage.

"Koza…"
"Vivi! Beat it up!"
Luffy shouted.
"Are you crazy!?"
Usopp yelled.
How would Vivi beat up that thing? It was nearly impossible!
Vivi got ready to attack the giant beast, but it was too fast as it opened its mouth and chomped towards her.
Vivi managed to dodge, but the stairs leading up were crushed like it was nothing.
Usopp was shouting and making things dramatic.
The beast stopped moving when it heard the den-den mushi start to ring.
"Hello?"
"Hello? Is this thing working?"
Vivi, Luffy and the others could hear a voice on the other end of the den-den mushi. They started whispering amongst themselves.
"Sanji! It's Sanji!"
Usopp said.
Sanji started talking to Crocodile on the den-den mushi.
Bang!
A shot was fired.
"That idiot got caught!"
Usopp shouted as he heard the gunshot.
"Speak, where is your location?"
Crocodile asked.
Vivi took this chance to jump on the stairs and she started running.
"Vivi! Where are you going?"
"I'm going to find help outside!"
Vivi shouted back.
Bob was tapping his foot as he was waiting on Rasa to show up.
"Ugh! I can't sit here any longer. Charles!"
Charles who was upstairs rushed down again to see what Bob wanted.
"Rasa will be here soon. Tell her to sail to the palace, you guys get on the ship as well."
"We are playing at the palace?"
Charles asked Bob.
"Of course! Only the best for you Charles!"
Bob failed to tell him that spectators for his performance would be everyone participating in the war.
"Alright, i'll let her know when she arrives."
Charles replied to Bob.
Bob nodded his head and walked out.
"Let's see… it should be around here somewhere…"

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.

Fighting Back The Tide
My first attempt at writing a novel so please go easy on me and constructive criticism and ideas are welcome. This is a story about how the world get turned into an RPG like world and how the MC fights back and explores the new/merged world. There are many like this so apologies if it sounds similar to any others but I have read MANY, MANY fantasy and RPG stories as they are my favourite but stick with me and I promise one heck of a unique ride
