《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 77 - Born for this

As Luffy's temporary crew fell to the ground, some people were surprised to see them. Yet, the appearance of a few more people did not stop the war from raging.
Crocodile looked at Whitebeard and went straight for him.
"Whitebeard!"
Crocodile was flying due to his devil fruit ability, he appeared next to Whitebeard and was about to attack him but was knocked back.
"Strawhat, now that we've had it here we no longer have an agreement."
Crocodile was highly upset at Luffy for interfering in his matters.
Bob kicked some small fry pirate and sent him flying as he looked at Luffy.
"Ha! This guy actually made it."
Bob thought he was talking inside his head, but he was actually speaking out loud.
Bob could see Luffy and Whitebeard having a conversation, but due to all the music, guns being fired and roars he couldn't make out what they were saying. He knew from the show that they were talking about Ace's execution and how things were being sped up.
Therefore, Bob didn't need to read their lips to understand what they were saying.
Luffy jumped off Moby Dick and charged at a group of marines, then he stretched his arms and punched them.
"Hancock, you plan on switching sides?"
Bob asked Boa Hancock who just got done kicking a bunch of men.
Boa flipped her hair and scoffed at Bob.
"What's it to you?"
Bob grinned.
"Just curious is all."
Bob saw Luffy running straight for Ace and Admiral Kizaru looked at him.
"I was going to take care of you on Sabody!"
He sent a line of golden light towards Luffy.
Ivankov appeared next to Luffy and winked.
The Wink and the golden light clashed together creating a giant explosion.
Luffy recovered from the blast and quickly got back up to run towards Ace. He ran into Rear Admiral Hina who used her devil fruit powers to make a cage.
Luffy activate gear second and left the cage with ease.
"Bob! Are you just planning on standing there?"
One of the Rear Admirals questioned Bob as he was just standing there.

Bob yawned and stretched his arms.
"I'm waiting to make an entrance. You know, something that'll shock everyone."
Bob replied as he fanned the marine away.
"What are you doing? Get the rookie!"
Sengoku shouted into the den-den mushi.
"He's a loose cannon! He grew up together with Ace as his step-brother and he's the biological son of the revolutionary - Dragon!"
Sengoku added.
"The revolutionary - Dragon!? The worst criminal in history?"
"His fathers such a big shot?"
There were various reactions all across the battlefield.
Bob grinned.
Luffy was causing as much shock as him when he fought Little Oars and Marco. However, Bob felt he was being overshadowed due to Luffy's father having such a huge name.
Bob looked over at Kuma, there was a difference as he did not attack Ivankov as he did in the show. Instead he was mostly observing the battlefield and fighting whoever came up to him.
'Vegapunk failed?'
Bob was curious as to what happened between Kuma and Vegapunk. There was no news released, so Bob didn't know. However, Kuma still seemed to have a mind of his own.
Whitebeard seemed to be having a blast as he had a grin spread across his face as he watched Luffy.
Bob couldn't sit still and decided to help Luffy out a bit.
He rushed into a crowd of pirates and dashed through them all as he used Tempest. His blade was covered by a gale of wind as he dashed back through Marines.
Bob threw a whirlwind knocking up all the marines that was in Luffy's path.
"Warlord Bob! Are you attacking marines?"
"I just missed."
Bob replied back to the marine.
They didn't know if he was actually telling the truth or not, but after that whirlwind Bob stopped attacking.
"Bob!"
Luffy shouted, but had to time to talk to Bob as he had to save Ace.
Smoker tried to get in Luffy's way, but Boa Hancock made her move and stopped him.
Bob saw that Mihawk started to take action against Luffy, but he knew that some swordsman from the Whitebeard pirates would hold Mihawk off.

The time on the battlefield moved pretty fast as Luffy already rescuing Ace. He had the key in his hand and uncuffed Ace.
All the battles made Bob become excited, but he wouldn't move yet. He already had a good gauge of his strength but to make a memory everyone would remember he needed to move at the right moment.
Wishful Thinking started playing a song Bob requested if they saw Ace get uncuffed.
Charles face was full of sweat, but there was a large smile on his face.
"I'm checking my vital signs
Drawing my battle lines
Going to war again
Feeling the rhythm inside of my chest
All I need is just a pen
I know I was born for this
I know I was born this"
Charles voice echoed across the battlefield reaching the hearts of many. His words caused everyone to be invigorated! They gained strength even though they were tired.
Bob wasn't surprised, Born for This was a good song that gave people hope. It made them feel important and that their actions mattered.
There was a giant flame as Ace landed on the ground with Luffy.
"Flame Pillar!"
Ace screamed.
All the pirates shouted in joy as they witnessed Ace's freedom.
The blast of Ace's attack spread across the battlefield.
Bob grinned.
"Listen close, Whitebeard Pirates!"
Whitebeard spoke.
"The order I am about to give, will be my final orders as captain!"
Some of the pirates didn't want to hear his final words.
"What are you talking about captain? Aren't we going to go back to the New World together?"
"You and I will be parting here! All of you, make sure you survive, and reunite with each other in the New World!"
Whitebeard spoke with a hole in his chest.
Bob knew that he was already dying, this would be his final fight. However, he could still take a few more blows.
If Whitebeard survived longer Bob would heal him.
A figure like Whitebeard didn't need to die.
"I am the one at the top of this era, there is no ship to carry me in the new era!"
Whitebeard said as he flexed his muscles and created a tremor.
All of Marineford started to crack and break apart.
"GO, MY MEN!"
Whitebeard felt it, all the Admirals felt it. The old era was ending and a new one was emerging. He couldn't continue on trying to stay at the top, it was time to pass everything on to someone else.
The Whitebeard pirates started retreating in sadness as they obeyed their captains final orders.
Whitebeard and Ace had some words together, but Akainu started badmouthing the Whitebeard pirates and Whitebeard himself.
Bob wasn't apart of Whitebeard's crew, but even he felt angered by Akainu's words.
Born for This ended, and the music quickly changed.
Hearing this beat, Bob knew this was the second to last song Wishful Thinking would play here.
"Legends never die
When the world is calling you
Can you hear them screaming out
Your name?
Legends never die
They become a part of you
Everytime you bleed
For reaching Greatness
Relentless you survive"
As the song started Akainu and Ace started fighting.
Ace was blown back by Akainu's attack.
"You're too careless thinking just because your a logia type you can't be hurt."
"Ace!"
Luffy shouted as Ace's vivi card fell.
Luffy went to grab it, and Akainu looked at him.
Akainu moved with his magma fist.
Luffy!"
Ace yelled.
Bob felt his heart beat.
"Pick yourself up, cause Legends never die!"
Charles words echoed in Bob's ear causing Bob to smile.
Bob drew Worlds End, and the sky darkened as thunder roared in the sky. Time seemed to come to a standstill as Bob's body was covered in static sparks.
Bob jumped into the air, and it seemed that his body merged with the lightning in the sky.
From high above, everything looked small.
"Thunderclap!"
Bob's body shot down like a bolt of lightning causing a huge explosion.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow?
