《Of Deities and Dimensions》28. Blennokinesis

Blennokinesis A kinesis ability that gives the user control over that which most beings consider filthy.
Zack looked at the screen he had just been given and then his mouth dropped looked back at the Mid-tierman named Oguip who was to be his escort. His twenty foot long worm like body was covered in a blue inch thick rubber suit, numerous black circular orifices in the suit were in their closed position. A stench that smelled like baked garbage permeating the cavern. It was very easy to tell where the stench was coming from, Oguip carried it around with him inside the suit for whatever use he had for it.
'How can filth possibly be used as a weapon?'
Zack covered his mouth and nose, it didn't help "Becker is never going to let me forget this."
Oguip said in a slightly gurgling voice "I don't know what you did to earn this, but it's just you and me." then the worm floated towards the area where they would be doing their mission.
"Let's just do this as quickly as possible." he coughed and felt his stomach go queasy "Is this why it's called shit detail? Because you carry around excrement around with you?"
Oguip said "No. I have standards after all. Now go scout ahead and lead as many corrupted to me as possible."
He activated Eidolan Symbiosis: Hroyd and ran down the Kulabv tunnels as fast as he could. Even after getting a good distance away he could still smell it with his enhanced senses. The tunnels were depressingly dark violet as usual, but with every step he expanded the ever growing map and with every foe slain, Akmadouric came closer to gaining dominion over the dimension.
Zack asked the green floating head "Are you coming out yet Hroyd, I could use some back up here."
The Kulabv warrior said "From the signals I've been getting from you, I'll pass. My sense of smell is much stronger than yours no matter how high you turn up your Eidolan Symbiosis skill. You're on your own in this one."
"Hey Poirauds, what about you guys?"
Without using speech, the three sent him a signal of polite refusal.

The twisting labyrinth of dark tunnels was dismal and depressing. Hroyd had given Zack memories of the Kulabv world. How the finely cut stone crafted buildings stood among the trees and streams. For it to be so hideously transformed was heartbreaking to the giant morphing bobcat. Although Hroyd never really expressed emotion, Zack occasionally felt sadness and rage through their link.
A whiff of a husk caught his attention. He crept forward using the stalking techniques that Hroyd had taught him. Being careful not to disturb any rock lest it's clatter alert the prey prematurely. Peering around the corner, he saw a dozen or more corrupted Kulabv warriors. Snarling and shuffling about in their semi-delirious states. Violet spikes protruding from their bodies.
Zack activated Eidolan Symbiosis: Poiraud to switch forms. The hard as iron hair that covered his skin turned into green two inch long tendrils. His face became more scaly and took on a lizards appearance. Electricity crackled all over the exterior of his body.
Taking a deep breath, he activated Enhanced Voice and let loose a sharp chirp in an attempt something he'd never tried before. Then he listened as the sound waves came back to him. The Poirauds sent him clues as to how to interpret the various dips in pitch. A picture of the surrounding area formed in his mind and he sent it across the link. It wasn't right at all, and the Poirauds had to correct it.
Skill learned Echolocation The ability to detect the location of objects using reflected sound. Willpower Cost: negligible Requires: Sound producing organs, hearing
The noise caught the attention of the husks and in an enraged sprint they tore after Zack, who knew he couldn't be caught with the speed granted to him by Attraction and Repulsion. He flew through the tunnels with the snapping pack of fifteen corrupted husks behind him. Darting over boulders and compensating for the queer laws of gravity that were present in this dimension. After five minutes, the map that was in the corner of his vision told him that he was in the killzone that Oguip had designated.
A brown wave of filth flooded out of the worm-like Mid-tierman and Zack ascended out of the way. He watched it all from above. The pack of Kulabv husks were bathed in a river of nastiness and basket ball sized pustules rapidly formed all over their bodies. Blood poured out of their eyes, ears and mouths as they tried to swim and crawl out of it. Then their flesh slopped off their bodies and finally they sunk beneath the brown sludgy waves.

Zack started dry heaving, and would have puked if he hadn't been told to do this job on an empty stomach "Can't you control where the fumes go!?" then flew past the suddenly much smaller worm.
Oguip said "I am directing most of the fumes away from you, but there is so much of it and I am simply unable to spare you from it all."
Zack continued flying away, there conversation now turning into message screens displayed by Akma.
Oguip messaged through Akma since he too far away to be heard "You might need to take an antidote and an immune system booster. Even the fumes can carry small pathogens of the various diseases I secrete."
Zack stopped "Useful, but it's still an act of insanity to purchase such an ability."
Oguip said "I didn't. This was forced on me."
Zack looked over the massive rotund worm again and said "What the hell happened?"
Oguip let out a gurgling sigh "The Deity Nuial is a goddess with beauty unlike other woman in the multi-verse, mostly because she has enchanted her appearence so that all who see her behold her in that way. In my youth I made the mistake of attempting to declare my love for her by writing a 56 line poem, as is the custom of my people. Before her court I spoke of Nuial's radiance, her benevolence, and the music of her voice. I bared my heart and soul before all who were there. Truly it was a legendary attempt. When I finished, the goddess sat there for a moment and then cursed me with this skill and body."
Zack muttered under his breath "Still a better love story than Twilight."
"Once you have recovered you can proceed to the next area. Five or six more runs and we are done."
Skunk is known as the worst stink known to man. The only way to get rid of it is to take a bath in tomato juice and that only works because of it's acidity. He really wished it had been a skunk.
After arriving back home on the island, Zack climbed into the bath filled with heavy disinfectant. The frothy pink liquid immediatly started making his skin itch and burn slightly. He submerged himself anyway. Not making people physically ill from standing within five feet of him was well worth it.
The mission had yielded 3,500 favor. Seventy husks total slain. The favor split evenly between Zack and Oguip. It was nothing compared to the 400,000 loss from having to buy another secondary body.
He had also recieved an additional eight maximum willpower. Mostly from having to resist the urge to pass out from the fumes that the worm-like Mid-tierman exuded. But at least the miserable day had brought his total up to 136.
After sitting in the chemical bath for half an hour, Zack got out "Hey Hroyd, would you come out and give me a smell. I need to make sure it's all gone."
The Eidolan formed out of a green mist and appeared in front of him, took a sniff, sneezed and went back into the Spiritual Ether.
Zack frowned "That bad huh?"
The floating green head nodded "It's still there, I can smell that worm even through all that bleach. They did say that it would take a chemical bath a day for four days right?"
This was not an issue that Zack found himself to have any patience for "Screw it." then opened up the favor expenditure screen and put in a request for a willpower cleaning. Now all he had to do was wait for whatever being in Akmadouric's Army that wanted 200 favor without actually going into combat.
Instead of waiting on the ground, Zack used Eidolan Symbiosis: Poiraud and attracted himself towards the magnetosphere to fly high into the sky. Then floated among the clouds. Letting the cool mist wash over him.
"Akmadouric. Ulgroth. Xarkris. And now Nuial..... Just what is a deity anyway?"

The Archaic Elements
A fantasy world, its own unique power-up system, some mystery aspects to make it look interesting and an MC that should make sense but well messes up, cause plot. Flashy fights. Characters will use their brain, unless it is an arrogant young master that needs to be taught a lesson. The starting is slow and maybe boring. The main MC does not desire great strength or harbor any great ambition. He starts out as a naive, lazy and a boring person. But the story does hold one aspect which will fuel the growth of our MC, which is his boundless curiosity for adventure and his will to explore. The second MC is a reincarnation/transmigration and he has a clear cut aim that he needs to achieve. His past life experiences also becomes a pillar that will help guide the main MC, while his friend also supports him. The writing is slow and steady. I will provide reasonings behind most happenings and keep it a logical story. It's a WIP as I edit the previous chapters even as I release more, so while the content doesn't change, the style and smoothness improve. The current release rate is 3 chapter/week. There is no specific date as I can get sidetracked or forgetful., but I will try to stick to Tues, Thurs and Sunday releases.

Of Life and Light
Home. By definition, such a word means "A place where one lives", but what happens when one is removed from their home by those with greater authority? One would seek out another place to live, of course. Karastak, a Devil King and a Fallen God of a world called Terra, was removed from his world by something greater than himself, and has journeyed to the world of Azzarath by way of Azazel, God King of the Azzarathean Pantheon. Perhaps she performed thusly through pity, charity, or a simple act of kindness with no strings attached. Regardless, he is deposited near a village upon a mountainous range within the world. There, he meets up with his Human family, a grizzled old Templar, a shy Cleric, and an apathetic Mage, that came to take him away from his troubles, but he does not budge. That is, until one of his servants speaks of finding a new home. However, perhaps instead of finding a home, he finds adventure instead? The story within is a Frame Story, which means it is a story within another story. In that this one is being told by three personages, a God King called the Ageless, a Lich King called Brutus, and a Goddess named Sarah. Each of them speaks of the Ageless's past self, one called Karastak, as he journeys onwards throughout the worlds within the Azzarathean Pantheon in search of something more.
