But after that, the dragon decided to fly and safely attack us from above. If blocking the monster attack by the front was difficult, it was close to impossible do it when the monster was flying. With the dragon in the sky, the survivors’ formation became useless. Survivors from all groups begin to die like ants; the dragon’s power was absolute and unrivaled in the sky.

“Tsk.”

In the beginning, the survivors accepted their allies’ death was something inevitable since we were facing a dragon. Still, after we lost twenty percent of the fighters, the fight became chaotic. The non-fighters didn’t have other choice but fight since the dragon was flying over the top of the tower. The smell of blood increased, and the morale of our troops dropped. The formation became useless, and the survivors began to run everywhere. A few of them even jumped from the tower. To survive, the survivors joined their friends and fought in small teams, but they couldn’t do much. Since Silver couldn’t do much against the dragon in the sky, I made him follow Claire and the others.

I was flying on Stella’s back and attacking the dragon with magic arrows and observing the battlefield. Even the special team decided to retreat, and now they were protecting the kids. Or at least they were trying.

“Numbers doesn’t mean a thing in this world. Only absolute power can make a difference.”

It was a bit hard, but I could meditate and attack with magic arrows on Stella’s back. But soon she would have to rest.

I only hit the throat, but all monster’s body became heavy, and then it began to fall. I teleported to the inside of the beast’s mouth when I heard the sound of Stella’s flying at max speed to hit the monster. Stella’s didn’t even have one-third of the dragon’s weight. But the attack had been enough to make the dragon fall toward the tower's entrance. The dragon lost control over all its body; it didn't even have the chance to smash me with its tongue or use its teeth to bit me. After all, all his body was ten times heavier, even its tongue and mouth. And since that was the case, I didn't show mercy.

When the dark arrow effect ended, I shot another dark arrow down the monster’s throat. The beast began to fall again, and I also sent other magic down its throat. Meanwhile, I shot steel bolts toward all directions.

“Now you will have a hard time if you try to chew me.”

Thanks to the dragon's massive weight, after just a minute and after I used only six dark arrows, we hit the ground. I didn’t expect that, and thanks to it, I received damage during the impact, and one of the dragon’s tooth pierced my right leg. The pain was nothing, but that would hinder my movements. I ate a few herbs, but it would take more than a few minutes for that wound to heal.

But I soon ignored that small problem when I analyzed the dragon’s status. The free fall made the monster lose a lot of HP.

“I guess I will repeat this again…”

I teleported, and then I reappeared on the dragon’s back, in that place the monster wouldn’t be able to attack and then I could use its a vehicle. After all, I couldn’t teleport to the top of the tower. As if my line was one line, and it was, I used all my strength to cling on the monster body like I was a cicada. Soon after, the dragon began to fly again and ignored me.

‘Stupid monster, it is just an oversized lizard, after all.’

As if the creature was reading my thoughts, it turned his back toward the tower and flew backward. The dragon tried to smash me against the tower, but I teleported to evade the attack. I would suffer damage, thanks to the impact, and the monster would try to smash me with its tongue. So, I decided to teleport to midair. Only after it was safe, I teleported back to the monster’s back again.

“Don’t try to do it again; I can do this all day.”

Somehow, the monster understood me and didn’t try to smash me against the wall again. And strangely just flew to the top of the tower. That was suspicious, and just like I had expected, the dragon was planning something. The beast stopped one hundred meters away from the top of the tower and then used its claws and legs to climb. I teleported to the inside of its mouth and then shot another dark arrow down the dragon's throat. However, the beast didn’t fall. Its arms and legs were short but were strong enough to endure the weight of its body increased many times.

‘Son of a bitch…’

I shot other dark arrows, but the effect didn’t accumulate. Slowly the dragon began to climb the tower and even ignored the fact its stomach was being filled with its own blood. The vitality of that thing was absurd…

My MP was low, and I wanted to rest a little bit, I deserved that, after all, I gained five minutes to the survivors. With luck, Sandra and the others prepared something. I shot another dark arrow, and then I teleported back to the top of the tower.

At the top of the tower, I received another warm welcome. Hundreds of survivors were aiming firearms, crossbows and other ranged weapons toward my direction. Those who could use magic already had their skills ready to be shot, and the remaining survivors of the first group were nearby prepared to use their shields if the dragon tries to attack again. I could see even the non-fighters among them, their eyes were bloodshot, and it seemed they wanted to fight.

Even I wasn’t crazy enough to attack the dragon from inside when hundreds of survivors were attacking the creature. So, I used that opportunity to rest in the back lines. Silver and Stella helped, as well.

I sent another dark arrow to give the dragon a hard time, and to keep him in that position; I shot two-meter long fire arrows toward the creature. Every time those arrows hit the monster, I felt the tower trembling a little. But I already expected that. After all, to create that kind of arrow, I had to spend five hundred points of MP and half an hour. Meanwhile, Sarah approached and began to heal my leg.

“You really like to make Claire mad, don’t you?” Sarah asked, smiling wryly.

For two minutes, the dragon stayed in that position, receiving hundreds of attacks every second. But eventually, I ran out of dark arrows. I had to concentrate for half an hour to create those as well, so that wasn’t an option. When the dragon finally climbed the tower, his face was a mess.

But something was different; I could see in the monster’s eye an earth-shattering fury. As if until now, he only had fought for food. But now, he didn’t consider us as food anymore. You can’t hate your food, and all of us could see the hatred in its eyes.

The dragon charged and all survivors retreated, the survivors with shields tried to stop the beast. But they were smashed like ants, and those who survived had been tossed like leaves to all directions. The monster was unstoppable, and I couldn’t do anything but cause damage and ignore the survivors’ death.

“Restore your MP, this time you are going with me.”

“What?” Sarah asked, astonished.

“We can’t stop this thing using common methods. So, you will fill the monster’s stomach with water, and I will use an electric arrow.”

Sarah understood my intentions, but she still was reluctant. Not because she was afraid, but because people were dying and she was the only one who could heal them fast enough. But in the end, she began to eat a lot of blue leaves because she knew it, if we stop the dragon with that attack, we will save a lot of survivors.

After a few seconds, Sarah looked at me and nodded. I touched her shoulder and then I teleported to the monster's mouth, the creature felt our presence and tried to smash us, but I made a lot of ice arrows pierce its tongue making the beast unable to control it, at least for a few seconds. The fire breath would melt those arrows.

Sarah pointed her hands toward the monster’s throat, and I also saw a blue ring on her right hand, soon after massive amounts of water began to flow toward the monster's stomach. The stomach of a living creature wasn’t exactly a tunnel, so, after a few seconds, the water she sent was mixing with the water she was still creating. I shot three thunder arrows toward the water, and before I could see the result, we left the monster’s mouth.

The thunder arrows weren’t like my ice arrows, but they could electrocute a target for ten seconds. Thanks to it, the dragon trembled a lot. That massive amount of water increased the power of my arrows, Sarah showed a small smile, but she was pale like a ghost. She used almost all her MP.

Sarah was exhausted, so I would have to wait for a few minutes before doing that again. Only Rose had enough MP and skills to do something similar, but her telekinesis was her main skill, and her other skills were low level. While I was thinking about what to do, Claire approached.

“Take me with you,” Claire said.

“You are strong, but not enough.”

“Don’t talk like you have ever seen my true power,” Claire retorted.

I thought she fought with all her might against the twenty-meter tall rat; it was impressive. Thanks to it, it was hard to believe that she could do much more than that, but then I remembered her first skill: focus. And then I looked at her status.

Every second in the focused state, the damage of the next attack will increase by 200%. This skill can only be reactivated after sixty seconds.

Cost: 1 MP per second, the cost of the skill will double with each second.

That surprised me a lot; the potential of that skill was absurd. That was the perfect skill for someone like Claire, who had so much talent and experience. She was basically a deadly sniper.

“All right then, I will wait for six seconds until your charge the shot.”

Claire nodded and aimed her bow upward; it seemed that she also couldn't change her body’s position, and she intended to hit the dragon’s brain. It was a pity I couldn’t teleport it nearby the dragon’s heart; only the mouth was big enough for a few persons to fit inside. Even the dragon’s throat was too thin. Besides, I had to have some space to make the magic arrows fly. It wasn’t like the arrows would appear out of thin air, they had to leave the backpack, and if they hit anything before the target, their effects will be activated.

After six seconds, I touched Claire’s shoulders, and then I teleported us. When she saw the dragon’s mouth, she shot. In the fraction of a second before the arrow could hit anything, the arrow became three projectiles, and in the next moment, three arrows pierced the dragon’s mouth deeply. The attack had been so powerful that it made the dragon scream for the first time. Before the dragon could destroy our eardrums, I teleported us back to the outside.
