Until next time Ciao Cubs~
The moment Hydra and Irina arrived back in [Grenit] there was already a celebration waiting for them. However as both of them didn’t have the energy to participate they simply retired for the night in their own homes. The only person who knew of the truth was Taye, and although he was there, all he was doing was drinking huge amounts of fruity wine.
Because everyone knew of his strict temper no one seemed to think differently of him and thought he was just enjoying the night drinking some wine staring off into the stars. No one cept Hydra and Irina knew of the pain he was currently experiencing.
The moment Hydra walked into the Elvish home he had stayed for the last few days, he immediately plopped on top of the bed and logged out. Currently his mood was better after spending time with Irina, but he absolutely didn’t have the motivation to join the party. He noticed the looks of confusion as he ignored everyone however he couldn’t be bothered at the moment to tell them.
-----------
As Landon, lazily removed himself from the BOX, he sat on top his bedding kneading his head with his palms. Although no tears were dripping down his face he felt terrible, and figured that the best choice of action would to be sleep for the night. However as tossed and turn back and forth on the bed he simply forget about everything. He then decided to get changed and take a long walk for fresh air that would hopefully tire him.
As Landon walked through the streets, without a care for the hundreds of passing cars, or lively mood of the passerbys, Hydra only kept to himself with his hands in his pockets isolated form the entire world around him. Although the time was late, much later than most shops being open, as the sun had already set. However for night dwellers the night had just started and as they wouldn’t give the opportunity to enjoy the fresh chilly wind caressing their faces they went out enjoying the night.
For Landon, everything was non existent, at times he would even bump into people and without even apologizing to the person he bumped into. Luckily the people he hit didn’t bother with him and went on their way after swearing or shouting out at him. Unknowingly Landon had walked the same path he did for years. The same path that led to the Old man's shop. Even then Landon didn’t pay attention, however there was someone instead who was paying attention to him. A lovely lady who didn’t seem the fit the middle aged tag for an older woman. Her long black hair rested on her shoulders in a business like manner. Her tight face gave off a terrifying vibe but for those who knew her she was kind. She was similar to Landon in the sense she stood up for what she believed in especially for manners concerning her family.

Her dark blue eyes stared straight at Landon and at first he was unsure whether this was the person she once knew, she even hesitated at first but still decided to call out to him.
“Landon? Is that you?”
Although Landon was in his own little world, hearing a similar voice and his own name called out he couldn’t help but look up to the person in front of him. And as he thought he knew the person and responded to their call.
“Mrs-
“Ah! I told you to call me by name!”
“Sorry, Trisha how are you?”
“Well obviously better than you what happened to you you look like crap.”
“Haha..”
Landon awkwardly laughed as he clearly knew his mood was foul to the point that probably others would avoid him if they saw him. But as Sarah’s mother, Trisha was blunt to the point of obliviousness he couldn’t blame her either way. It wasn’t like she knew what was going his mind right now and before he had the chance to casually close the conversation because he wasn’t in the mood for talking Trisha rushed over and hugged him!
“I..”
Shocked at the sudden turn of events, Landon was unable to react to the tight squeeze of Trisha. Although at first he tried to shake his way free, noticing the good intentions of Trisha, he couldn’ help but leave it alone. After an unknown amount of time she finally let go of him spoke out to him in a soft manner.
“Are you feeling better?”
“...Yeah.”
“I won’t ask you to tell me what happened, but come let’s get you something to drink maybe you’ll feel better.”
“...Sure.”
Her good intentions were simply something Landon couldn’t disagree against and thus he was dragged inside the restaurant. The time had already long past since closing and thus no one was inside and the lights were even off. But the moment Trisha arrived she turned off the lights quickly signaled for Landon to sit down as she gathered a few ingredients and whipped him up a nice delicious smoothie.
Seeing this a nice memory played through his mind, usually it was Trisha that looked after Sarah and him when he was younger and always on a hot day they would beg her to make her signature smoothie that would brighten up their days beyond reason. Although he wasn’t too young at this time it was still a wonderful memory that cause him to smile slightly.
Noticing this Trisha also smiled and looked at Landon with conflicted feelings. however she never spoke them out and silently watched at Landon drink the smoothie. Time went by and neither of them spoke, the only sounds that could be heard was the quiet soft of Landon drinking ever so often. However the silence didn’t continue forever and Landon, finally gathering the courage spoke up.

“........Trisha.”
“Yes dear?”
“You knew my parents right?”
The moment she heard these words Trisha was shocked! It was a miracle for Landon to ever even mention his birth parents not to mention asking about them! It wasn’t because he blamed them for passing away as of course that was not their fault. However it was a wound that Landon never wanted to open up himself. Thus if he didn't ask or know about them not having the familial love wouldn't bother him so much, however even so at this time he asked! This was why Trisha, was so surprised and only softly nodded in return. She wanted to wait until Landon was sure she wanted to explain before she said anything.
“Were you good friends?”
Trisha once again only nodded.
“....What did it feel like to lose her?”
Trisha was thoroughly surprised time after time, however she took his question seriously and took a deep breath and answered him with her true feelings.
“....It was like losing a part of yourself. In fact your mother and I were so close that you could call us sister’s similar to you and those little girls. Losing her and your father caused Steve and I to pained for a very long time. If it wasn’t for the fact that we were unable to take you in, we would have adopted you on the spot.”
“How did you get over it?”
“We didn’t. Still to this day such a thing pains us greatly, however it was because we have a responsibility to others that we must be strong and carry on. For you, for Sarah, for our lives, it’s something we will never forget. But at the same time it will allow us to become stronger. As long as you never forget they will forever live deep within you.”
“Could you tell me a bit about my parents?”
“Sure! If I was to explain your parents in a word, it would be unique. Although they were incredibly smart at times they would do the most stupid things, or for the sake of their goals they would work for weeks on end eating only a few crumbs and a teaspoon of water to get them through the days. However, your parents were undoubtedly geniuses. In fact Landon, your parents are the ones who created [Second Saga]! Or at the very least they were the ones who created the quantum computer responsible for creating the world.”
“What?!”
“Yeah exciting right? Didn’t you think it was strange that you received a BOX unit? There are reasonings for you being raised in the orphanage that I can’t tell you as of yet, however know that your parents did indeed love you. They wanted to share with you the game that they created, and hopefully during this time you could enjoy your second life.”
“I wish I got to meet them.”
“You can.”
At this Landon wasn’t even able to speak. He was so shocked that he sat there stupidly looking towards Trisha.
“Well your parents, made NPCs that were created from their personalities. Although you can’t say that they are truly your parents, if you want to meet them you can!”
“I have to go! Wait, why am I here? I don’t have time to be here I have to make money for the kids, and now I have to go find my parents! Thank you Trisha, I’ll pay you for the smoothie another time see you!”
At this Landon rushed out the door clearly in a better mood before. He knew that the pain of Laxiss’ death would forever follow him, but knowing that if he continued to remember her she would live through him was encouraging. Not only that, he could now meet his parents in game! Although he couldn’t ask them questions pertaining to him, he could without a doubt see what they looked like and their personalities. He only hoped they were still together in the game as well!
Seeing Landon rush out the door way, Trisha kept on smiling, however she heard a voice son after Landon left the door after her.
“Now now Trisha, don’t you think that was going over the limits of your duties?”
“Oh my, dear customer Stevewhat could you ever mean?”
“He’s right Trisha, it wasn’t time for him to know of his parents in the game yet.”
“Michael! You saw as well as I did that boy losing a mother figure in front of him! How could I let him stay like that!”
“Well, you’re right on that note, well as you two know I’m on your side anyways I’ll write up a fake report, I just want a smoothie like Landon.”
“Make one yourself!”

Infested
One billion people from one hundred thousand universes have been dropped onto a singular planet five times larger than Earth. In the corner of their eye were three numbers: 1,000,000,000. 15. 10. Nobody could figure out what it meant until fifteen years after the initial transportation, as out of the blue, a message repeated itself in their minds for twenty-four hours. “Only ten can return. The rest will die. There is no time limit,” Following the global message, genocides ran rampant, with established friendships broken, families ripped apart, blood alliances betrayed, and leaders felled in seconds. How? [The Evgnomon] The Beholden; hidden throughout the realm were artefacts: weapons, information, tools from beings and societies of a higher plane. It was up to the humans to scour the land and take them by hook or by crook if they ever wished to go back. Whisked into this world as a mere babe, I suppose it was lucky I didn’t die in the chaos. But as I stare into the rotten, tattered pages of the accursed book laid upon the pedestal in front of me; and the unnerving gaze of our professor trained onto the back of my head silently pressuring me to become the avatar of grotesques unspeakable and undecipherable to the human mind. O, how I wish I did...
