《[Second Saga]》Chapter 92: Baptism

The vibrations in the cave even startled the [Bearilla], although it noticed the pigs coming towards he and had stopped when they saw him, he thought they were afraid of him and ignored them entirely after this. Then he focused his entire attention on Porkto and his dozen bodyguards but just when he thought it was only going to be 13 against 1. The situation changed immediately when Porkto roared.
Upon seeing the army start to charge again even the [Bearilla] felt a slight fear. The [Bearilla] was only one beast, and there were thousands of [piglets] ready to charge straight towards him. Although it would be impossible to trample him because of its sheer body size, the impacts to its limbs would without a doubt start to stack with each hit. The result? Was of course what the pigs and beast thought.
Although the bear changed its target to the pigs and swung at them numerously, the infinite amount of pigs stampeding was simply too much and easily started to overwhelm him. Noticing that such a situation, that for once Hydra wasn’t the focus of attention, he decided to use his body to its highest capabilities.
The moment that Hydra was about to reach the beast, and the beast’s focus was elsewhere Hydra used his entire strength to leap up onto the beast. Now Hydra was mounted on top the beast. In which the beast was furiously roaring and trying to rid Hydra off of his back. However Hydra was determined to show off his super pig like skills. Although he was in a different body and it was at first awkward, the system helped him get used to it immediately and the moment Hydra thought something his body would react perfectly to match up with him. Although if it was the care of a humanoid body of differing heights or balance and he attempted to use a weapon or his martial arts, the system would not be able to cope with such complicated maneuver. However simply allowing him to use the body of a pig effectively was by no means difficult.
As such when the Beast started to angrily move about Hydra had already digged his blunt teeth into the thick skin of the [Bearilla] causing numerous damage markers to appear over its head. All the meanwhile Pan was being shaken and flung about while crying softly in the air holding onto Hydra for his deal life. Thought when the pigs saw Hydra miraculously hold on their attention was not on the small little panda but solely onto Hydras courageous appearance. In fact the pgis were so in awe that they momentarily forgot their charge and rammed into others. But instead of getting angry they continued to stare at Hydra.

Some even started to speak out.
“ A [Piglet] among [Piglets]!
“What a true [Piglet]!”
Some of the female pigs even started to speak and fantasize about Hydra.
“Ah! What a man, if only I could have him for a night. I’d oink all night!”
“Kyah! He’s so manly I must make him mine!”
When Porkto saw his new brother keeping his own, he made a admired smile that even slightly gave off the impression of pure happiness. After all he gained a truly strong brother what king wouldn't be happy at such an occurrence? Was he worried about Hydra taking over? Naturally he was not after all they were all the same species who led them didn’t matter! Although he knew that Shadow had a tough past, he knew that for him to learn illusion magic to become a human, or to venture by himself was no easy feat and he must be quite strong. Only now was Porkto able to see his strength for himself.
Naturally, Hydra was too busy trying not to fall off, even with using his entire jaw strength, with each swoosh of the [Bearilla] he felt his entire jaw would break. Although at the same time he felt happier that he was continuing to hold on. As for the [Bearilla] it wasn’t stupid and noticing that Hydra continued to hold on and that the pigs were no longer charging him, he decided to flip over and crush the pig once and for all. During the slight delay where everyone would be momentarily stunned it would escape!
But the [Bearilla] didn’t know who his opponent truly was! Hydra was still hydra even in pig form althought his strength was severely weakened he still had his ability to think on the spot. And when Hydra noticed that the [Bearilla] wanted to flip over, and when it rolled Hydra jumped with all his power straight in the air. At such a wonderous sight all the pigs were dumbfounded, including the [Bearilla] as if he walked straight into the trap of this black coloured pig. At this moment the [Bearilla] was turned around and laid on his back, perfectly open for the heavy tonne like pick to prepare its descent onto the beast.
Seeing the perfect opening Hydra felt compelled to make a name for such an awesome move and as he did he roared in the air while he was falling.
“PIG SLAAM!”
Ding!
You have created a personal skill for use!

[Pig Slam ☆☆] lvl 1
The heavier the pig the more damage this skill will do! Use of this skill has the potential to stun enemies when struck in sensitive areas.
Boom!
The thunderous sound of Hydra ramming straight into the [Bearilla] caused the ground to collapse inwards, although if this was a simple body slam it wouldn’t have such destructive force but now it was the [Pig Slam]! This was entirely different body slam all together. It was easily show by the damage of the ground around it. The moment the two collided Hydra felt a slight backfire and took 100 damage. As for the [Bearilla] it took 500! As such a window popped up and it was stunned! When Porkto saw this he roared in the air giving no time for the [Bearilla] to recover and the result was naturally the defeat of the [Bearilla].
-------------------
Hydra then sat on the sidelines and no longer continued to fight the [Bearilla]. At first he was reluctant to allow the other to take the experience and items he soon released that it shouldn’t have mattered as they were all fighting together, and sure enough after the defeat Hydra also gained a significant amount of experience. When he calmed down Porkto had already rushed over and called to him.
“Haha brother Shadow!”
“My king!”
“Please call me Porkto!”
“Very well Porkto!”
“You were amazing there Shadow! It was because of you that this fight was so easy.”
“Haha thank you, I tried my very best.”
Porkto endlessly praised Hydra and felt even closer towards him. Hydra also felt a slight connection to this pig, naturally it wasn't only because he was the defining cause of this pigs evolution but because even though he was a king he was naturally friendly and good willed. It made it quite easy to get along with him. After a few minute of small talk, while the pigs were collecting the items of the [Bearilla], Porkto finally changed the topic.
“Shadow. Allow us to baptise you under the Bread God!”
“Cough cough! What? What does that mean?!”
“Oh! That’s right I forgot you wouldn’t know about the Bread God, because you were raised in a different land. Here come with me I will show you!”
------------------
After following Porkto in silence, Hydra was starting to worry what was going to happen. Not because he was worried it would harm him physically, but Hydra was worried that an entire new army of Bread followers were about to be created. Naturally all the pigs had already worshipped the Bread God here, however Hydra hadn’t seen the craziness in their eyes like his did to his followers. But after hearing that there was a baptism he couldn't help but think that their fanaticism might be at the same level of his companions!
Soon Porkto arrived at a room in the cave. The only difference about this room was that it had a piece of cloth covering the entrance, while all others there was no door or covering over the entrance. Noticing this Hydra started to sweat. Without any delay Porkto rushed inside beckoning Hydra to follow him.
At this point it was only Porkto and Hydra who had the qualifications to enter, even Porkto’s bodyguards were unable to come inside. When inside the first thing Hydra noticed was an altar. Although it was a bit crude, as pigs it was already the best they could make specially out of stone. On top of this altar was a single piece of bread. Although this bread had numerous areas where small chunks were taking out of it, for some reason when Hydra looked upon the bread he couldn’t help but feel it was a holy item. Naturally to the pigs this single item was their treasure and they all would be willing to sacrifice their entire species to protect it and when Porkto arrived next to it he turned and started to speak to Hydra.
“This piece of Bread, only those who have great qualifications and utmost sincerity to the Bread God may have a piece and be blessed. To this day it is the dream of all [piglets] to have a piece of our sacred treasure. And to this day I have only allowed my 12 bodyguards to have an opportunity. Now, you will be the 14th including myself who will have a piece. If you swear to follow the Bread God for eternity, the Bread God will never forsake you. He will always be watching over you! You might even receive his blessing and become stronger! Now Shadow! Make your decision!”

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Debut: the day every young gentleperson of age gathers to receive their Spirit Blessing and shift for the first time into their second form. Except for those who don't. Beatrice's worst fear is to be one of the unlucky few trapped perpetually in a human body, cut off from the magic of the spirits and unfit for any respectable pack or pride. But when the time comes to face her fear, the outcome is one she never could have imagined. Be warned, this story is some highly experimental fluff—an unapologetically girly, unrelentingly bisexual, Regency/Victorian-ish fantasy mish-mash. It does have a dark side, though, so don’t come in expecting all sunshine and roses. Worthy of note, given the reputation of shifter stories: there will be no explicit sex in this tale. There will, however, be lots of polyamorous romance, necromancy, portal magic, capricious spirits, elemental mages, an unconventional take on shifters and a highly ordered society built around their existence.
