《I Can Respawn In The Apocalypse》Chapter 20: I'm a good person

The officers chasing after the truck quickly slowed down and went to check out the officer in the car.
The car's engine died when it was hit so the car was dead. The Airbags had come out of the side blocking the window glass from harming him.
But the criminal had gotten away with a truck load of packaged food. That was a real loss. That 1 truck of food had approximately 3 months worth of food for 1 person and maybe 6 month if eaten sparingly meaning that the Thief had just taken half a year's worth of food from them.
This criminal gave them a huge loss in both Resources, Transportation and Man Power.
The truck with it's one lane change had taken out both the police cruiser as well as the officer so this was not looking good.
"FUCK! Damn that fucking ungrateful bastard."
The officer with the best manners had already started cursing so you can probably know how bad the situation was.
Let me go I'll avenge Jim and Ryan! A youthful officer by the Michael had already gotten ready to chase after the Truck.
An older officer who was well experienced and calm accessed the situation calmly and made the most logical.
"No, were going to the location stated by the boss."
"WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING HE KILLED JIM!"
"Calm the fuck down! We can't chase. Even if we chase it's unlikely that we can take him down. He's in a truck, the odds of us bringing down the truck getting him is low. Even if we manage to take down the truck we'll be surrounded by zombies. Did you remember he's taking the road we just took. It's full of zombies, even if we manage to take him out we'll be surrounded by zombies and won't be able to take back a single thing from the truck!"

"But he killed Jim, are we just going to let him go after all he's done!!!"
"We won't go after him! I know that Jim has taken care of you and he's your best friend. He was mine as well! But this is the Fucking apocalypse, people will die like flies so if we follow your lead to chase after him we'll likely be joining the bastard to his death even if we manage to kill him!"
"But... Jim he... FUCK!"
Soon the groans of Zombies could be heard as a lot of screaming was taking place here.
More and more zombies started showing up on the streets.
It was a horde that was attracted for they were in the middle of New York which was crammed full of people with it's densely packed buildings.
Zombies had started showing up left and right like rabbits in the mating season.
"LET'S GO!"
The officers gently lifted Ryan the officer who passed out in the car crash into a truck.
After that last act of sabotage the officer crammed the new people who they picked up onto one truck. They also left behind 2 police cruisers and had them blockade the street to block the zombies from getting closer. The 2 officers who lost there rides were stationed into the truck which was crammed with people and had their guns out. They made sure to keep a safe distance from the survivors who they picked up and had their guns facing them in case another case of sabotage was to occur.
With that they moved out.
---------------------------------------------------
On the stolen truck was a man by the name of Simon. He was a gang member of the Blood Cross Gang that was in the ghettos of the Queens. They were a gang that dealt in a variety of things from drugs to Robberies.

He was out today to look after a new recruits for the first time at a robbery. But when things went south he hid with the hostages and thought that he would be safe. But a teenager suddenly had all of them make Molotov cocktails. This was a huge warning signal sent out to him telling him that this guy was bad news and he was not part of the police.
He then had all of them to get on the trucks but stayed behind with his handcuffed recruit. He now knew that staying behind with this group will lead to him dying if they found out he was part of the Blood Cross Gang for he had the blood cross tattoo on his arm but his hoodie was covering up the tattoos so they couldn't see it. But he will eventually have to take it off and the police officers know of this tattoo meaning it won't be long before he ends up like his recruit.
Thus when asked to board the trucks he chose the one with the fewest number of people. Unfortunately there was an officer there but he was kind of glad to for and officer had a gun and he gave his to the newbie.
At first he started probing the officer with questions about where they were going and then onto the youth that stayed behind.
He found out that the youth was the leader of the group and was really strong.
After finding out enough he killed the officer with him in a sneak attack with his hidden knife.
After taking out the officer he knew it would only be a matter of time before he was caught so he decided to take the driver hostage and then took over the truck.
It was risky, but that was his only chance at survival for he believed that they would probably kill him if he was found to be a part of the blood cross gang.
After crashing into a police cruiser and getting away he started laughing hysterically because he knew he got away. The police weren't going to chase after him for it wasn't going to be worth it.
He now had a truck load of supplies and a gun. Things were looking great for him. There was an old Chinese saying that went like this.
"Good people die young, while the scourges would live a thousand years."
Apparently I'm a good person, for there is suddenly a half naked person holding a gun to my head.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!

Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
