《Chapter 10》The First Proper Meal
Time slowly passes by, and the group manages to safely arrive at their intended location, carrying along with them the spoils of the hunt.
I've then opened my eyes wide in awe, and instinctively thought, 'Wow, that is sure is a lot of meat...'
'I wondered how long it will take me to finish it all.' I thought so to myself.
I then turned my eyes towards Silva the {Sabertooth Jaguar Ash Golem}, and she has grown considerably over a short span of time.
It must be from her constant level ups that which affected her personal growths, whilst, at the same time, I'm unaware of the fact, that {Ash Golem}s can process eaten meat into raw building material (ash) to strengthen itself.
'It's not wrong to assumed that Silva has evolved from a Jaguar to a Sabertooth Tiger, as the appearance are too uncanny to dispute.' I thought so to myself.
I then ordered my golems to bring the spoils of the hunt on over towards myself.
And immediately storing the corpses of the deceased {Fire Imp}s into my interspatial inventory space, in order to keep it fresh, and prevent it from decomposing.
'The body of the somewhat half-eaten {Lava Plume Fire Salamander} is certainly big, and I can't really eat it all by myself.' I thought.
'But, the big question that I should be asking myself is, can I eat this piece of meat raw or do I need to cook it.' It was a wise question that I asked myself, with some reasonable doubts.
Humans can digest raw meat, but 'we' essentially get fewer nutrients from raw meat than cooked meat.
Raw meat can essentially make people fall ill, if it is not cooked properly, and is thereby contaminated with bacteria and foreign pathogens.
However, if you were to kill an animal and then immediately consumed its flesh, without storing it. The chances of yourself getting sick or unwell are slim, but not impossible.
'I'm no longer human right now, but a kind of rock demon. Can they eat raw meat? I don't know?' I thought so to myself.
Well, to be on the safe side, I then asked Crowley to diced up the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s meat into eatable chunks, and Grimsly then roasted the meat with his fire breathe skill.
I took a reasonable small-sized of cooked {Lava Plume Fire Salamander} meat and put it in my mouth.
My teeth were in the process of developing and has not fully formed yet. So I have some bit of difficulty chewing my meal.

However, the meat of the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander} was extremely soft and slightly spicy.
The small chunk of meat then slid into my mouth; with a simple little pressure applied down on the chunk of meat, the meat strands then separate into much smaller bits.
And until it finally goes down my gullet, throat, to my stomach.
'It kind of tasted like frog legs. Pretty tasty.' I thought so to myself.
The meat of the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander} is rich in iron and minerals, and also contains trace amounts of fire attribute magical power.
By consuming the flesh of the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}, it would then provide all the necessary nutrients in order to aid in the growth and development of a child.
At the same time, by drinking the blood of the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}, which is certainly rich in fire attribute magical power. You can steadily increase your resistance and tolerance to fire.
Ding!
System Notice Trace amounts of iron have been detected in the user's diet! Now converting it all into nutrients to aide in the user's growth! Plus 1 Strength, 2 Endurance, 3 Defense, 1 Dexterity, 2 Constitution...

'What a surprise that by consuming something that is rich in nutrients would indeed increase overall stats.' I came upon the sudden realisation after the discovery.
After having finished my meal, my stomach was incredibly full, and could no longer take another bite.
There were some bits of the deceased {Lava Plume Fire Salamander} that were left over, and as I was about to store the remainder of leftover cooked meat into my interspatial inventory space.
I quickly came upon a sudden new discovery, having found a red glowing orb inside of the cooked deceased {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s chest.
It was similar to the bronze golem core that I have in term of size, at most the size of a golf ball.
And it strongly radiates thermal heat energy, whilst, at the same time, faintly emitting traces of purely refined magical energies from the core.
In order to discover whatever it is, I then stored the strange core into my interspatial inventory space, to check out the label of the item.
At the same time, I then opened up the inventory space tab, to check out what the item is called.

Inventory [3/100 Used Slot] 56 × 1-star bronze Golem core 9 × Fire Imp Corpse 1 × Lava Plume Fire Salamander Monster Core
'A monster core?' I thought so to myself, and then it suddenly hits me.
After having read a lot of Xianxia cultivation novels, where an immortal cultivator's gold core (jindan) is the crystallisation of their own respective spiritual qi.
For magical beasts of the Immortal cultivation world, their beast cores represent their entire life of cultivation.
'So based upon my understanding of knowledge of eastern xianxia novels, its safe to assumed that the monster core is the crystallisation of the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s refined magical power.' I deduced, based upon my knowledge of eastern fantasy books.
Ding!
System Notice For correctly deducing the origins of {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s monster core, without any ounce of prior knowledge beforehand! You have gained plus 1 Intelligence stats point!
'Interesting!' I thought so to myself, as I simply dismissed the notification screen.
I then take out the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s monster core and fumbled with it lightly in between my fingers.
However, upon noticing the glowing red orb, which is the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s monster core. Grimsly then became extremely excited, as he sat up straight, and wagged his tail constantly.
'Looking at it from an outside perspective, everyone is getting something in return for their own efforts, whilst Grimsly is forced to stay here and gets nothing.' I thought so to myself.
'Though, he did not contribute anything to the hunt. It is quite bad to feel left out of the group in the most part.' I thought.
The others then preemptively looked in my particular direction, without saying anything.
Almost as if saying, 'For those who do not contribute towards the goal, shall receive nothing as compensation.'
I then seemingly through the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s monster core up in the air, in Grimsly's particular direction.
As he then opens his canine jaws opened wide, like a shark opening is jaws up and about to gnarled down at its intended target. Grimsly then closed his mouth shut, whilst swallowing the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s monster core whole.
The small golf-sized {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s monster core then travels down Grimsly gullet and into his stomach.
The extreme thermal heat temperature that is generated inside of Grimsly's stomach is causing the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s monster core to react strongly, whilst at the same time, establishing a connection with its current host.
Ding!
The sound of a bell ringing inside of my head, as a blue notification screen panel then appears before my eyes.
System Notice A secondary core has been detected inside of the individual Grimsly {Hellhound Ash Golem}! A connection with the {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s monster core is established! System Notice The {Lava Plume Fire Salamander}'s monster core now acts as a secondary source of magical power! Plus 350 MP pernamently gained magical power as a result!
I can feel the sudden increased in magical power radiating off of Grimsly's body, as he then howls excitedly.
Hot flames then spew effortlessly out from his mouth and into the air.
'Wow, what the...' I watched in awe, at how strong Grimsly has gotten after consuming that one monster core.
A curious-looking smile then appeared on my face, as I thought, 'Things have certainly gotten more interesting. Now I've just can't wait until I've hit early my pre-adolescent years.'
Since we are currently living inside of a small one-room mud hut, it starting to get a little bit stuffy in here, with everyone in place.
So I've then decided to store Silva, Huginn, and Muninn, alongside the ores and rock minerals that father obtained from the mines, into my interspatial inventory space.
And afterwards, to pass the time, and wait for my food to digest, I then continued practising my {Minor Earth Control} ability.
Ding!
System Notice Skill proficiency has reached a designated degree! The skill {Minor Earth Control Lv.4} has levelled up and become {Minor Earth Control Lv.5}! System Notice Skill proficiency has reached a designated degree! The skill {Minor Earth Control Lv.5} has levelled up and become {Minor Earth Control Lv.6}!
Time quickly flew by, with me practising my {Minor Earth Control} ability, and I immediately then fell asleep when I'm tired.
Now I'm no longer able to keep my eyes opened for any longer.
I slowly watched as my field of vision steadily darkens, becoming nothing more than pitch blackness.
As my head slowly descends, resting on top of the cold flat surface of the stone table, whilst the heat that is released off from the miniature underground active volcanoes is thereby keeping the ongoing temperature within the room warm.
And my conciousness slowly fades out into slumber, taking a long night rest, until it's sunrise.
Author's Notes:
This was written on a Mobile Phone.
I've completely lost track of the main protagonist's level of skills and his golem familiars.
So I will be changing their stats and skill levels later on down the storyline.
