《I'm a hero? Nope, familiar》Chapter 3. The ears?

The moment the surroundings stopped shifting, almost everyone turned away from each other and vomited. Well... tried to. Everyone was still clumped together so it was somewhat impossible to move away.
"Ew, ew, ew, stop that! I'm not having a puke-fest in my home, I am NOT having a repeat of when Lufnus summoned his heroes!"
To which after she frantically formed symbols in her hand which she shot towards us.
I didn't feel like puking anymore, which I appreciated, and then she proceeded to make the vomit on the floor and the unlucky people who got splashed disappear.
"Why do I have to be the host this year" she said with a slightly upset face. Well it's not our fault it affected us like that.
Kendo man ignored her and starts speaking first out of all of us,
" So what did you mean by "get us ready" earlier?"
"Oh that? Hmm, well honestly it has to do with the world you are going to." Said the girl/goddess?
"Ok?" Said kendo man in a tone like he wants more info. Guess he's the voice of the group. I don't feel like talking with all these people so guess I'll just listen to her response.
"What I mean by that, is that since your world doesn't normally have mana, the mana of the world you are going to will immediately fill your bodies. Think of how pressure works in your world. The area that has less pressure will be filled, well basically. So, since your current bodies are devoid of mana, it will rush in and overflow since your bodies evolved away from magic, and in living things that isn't a good thing." She said with a slightly sad look on her face.
Going by the expression on her face, we all knew...
People die when their mana overflows.
"............How are you going to prevent that from happening to use, and what says it doesn't happen to us after you do whatever you do to fix that problem?" Says kendo man, whose name I still haven't learnt.

"That was the point of bringing you here. In the mortal plane, we wouldn't have been able to do this for a whole group of people."
She says with a slight smile on her face.
"....what does that mean" I ask despite my better judgement.
"You've been very silent most of this time, but so have the others, other than mister Hada Hirokichi here" she said with a slight chuckle. So that's his name.... Ah looks like he didn't want his name announced.
"But anyways" she continued, "what I mean, is that you probably somewhat realized what I am, a goddess, or to be more particular a Demi-goddess. Well gods/goddesses are more limited than you would think. The "kidnapping" as Mr. Hada said earlier took quite a bit of energy to separately pick up each and every one of you. It took even more to bring you here. The reason why I didn't bring you all here one at time is for that very reason, it costs less to do a mass teleportation than individually teleport the 30 of you here. Not to mention the amount of energy it takes to keep all of you here alive while in this plane of existence."
She said, which made me start feeling a large amount of surrealism.
.... And then I started to panic at what she said last. 'To keep all of you here alive'
Noticing my look of panic she said,
"Well let's not keep them waiting too long then huh?" with a knowing smirk.
Immediately after all us were pushed at least five feet apart from each other and what seemed to be a cubed barrier surrounded each of us.
"Okay! The good thing about bringing all of you here is that it's a lot easier to help your bodies acclimate to mana without killing you, I can control it so that it doesn't happen. The thing about this, is that your bodies have never physically been affected by mana before, so... sorry to tell you this, but it will be painful. It won't kill you but depending on how it effects your body during the transition you might wish it was just to end it." She said as if she's gone though this before.

"Thankfully" she continued "it won't cause malformations later, but it will change the way you body looks, unless of course you stay the same race you currently you are, which.... Is very rare. The reason I separated you by barriers is that you might react badly to the pain and hurt one of your fellow heroes. These barriers are also sound proof, so you won't have to listen to unpleasant screams of the others around you."
Directly after she finished the pain started. It felt like an eternity, but was probably fifteen minutes. First the pain started in my head, then slowly spread to the rest of my body, it felt like my organs were being crushed and removed. After that the pain suddenly spread to extremities such as my arms, legs, ears, eyes, and for some reason the top of my head. The pain in my head was so much that I passed out.
..................
...................................
...........................................
I hear chanting and immediately woke up.
"Sorry for waking all of you, but we have to end this soon" said the Demi-goddess.
Slowly I get up and the barrier is still around us, guess she didn't take it down yet.
As I'm thinking this, the barriers starts fading until I can see everyone else... I really am going to a fantasy world aren't I?
The reason why I thought this is because mostly everyone looked like a fantasy creature. I saw someone with horns and a tail, some people who had animal ears and a tail, and even some that looked like stereotypical elves and dwarves. Is that a succubus?! Oh god... or should I say gods now?
Anyways that got me wondering, so I looked down at my hands and saw they were they looked the same other than having slightly longer and stronger nails, like a dogs? Hmm...
While I was thinking that, I made eye contact with the Demi-goddess.... And she squealed like a four year old little girl?!
Next thing I know she's right next to me. Are those hearts in her eyes?! What the fuck?! And how the hell did she move so fast?!
"Your ears, can I pet em? Can I?" She suddenly said with puppy dog eyes.
"Um... Uh... W,what...?" I said still shocked at her suddenness.
"The. Ears. Pet. Please." She said with a serious face but I swear I still see the hearts in her eyes.
"Uhh.... S,sure.." I said slowly recovering from the shock.
Wait... She said ears. Did my normal ones change? I reach to touch my ears but they weren't there! I'm completely shocked!
" *ahem*!" I hear breaking out of my shock and see the Demi-goddess sitting on the floor, patting a spot for me to sit next to her.
Anyways I ignored her for a second and reached up and touched what was on top of my head... Hmm don't feel like bunny ears... Wait I have ears on top of my head? What type? They feel like they are longer than how the cat and dogs ones look....Oh the goddess is pouting... Ok, ok, I'll sit next to you. Why am I so submissive right now? Normally I wouldn't let anyone touch me at all... Oh right she's a goddess, I don't wanna anger her.
All the while everyone was watching us without me noticing, seeing what was going on. All they saw was the goddess appear next to me, then speak into my ear, me getting shocked, and then her sitting down next to me. Then they saw her reaction and got bewildered at her actions when I started checking my ears. What shocked them even more is when I sat next to her and she started petting my ears.
Why does this feel so good?! I can't keep my eyes open, but I'm not falling asleep? Staaahhhhppp iiittt.... I... I can't escape...
