~Lorne~
"Hey Morgan, do you know about the 3 major guilds?"
I asked her bluntly. I was honestly curious. The 3 major guilds, meaning throughout all the adventurer guilds. Humans, Beast-kin, and Demons.
"Uh, I am not too sure what you mean." (Morgan)
"Like, do the 3 guilds represent the 3 races? 1 for each race. Humans, Beast-kin, and Demons?"
"Well, you are correct." (Guild Master)
Instead of Morgan answering, the guild master answered.
"Looks like you recovered?.."
After a brief pause, she replied.
"Those stats should be impossible. What have you done? The Status Projector should not be able to be tampered with, yet I can somehow believe what was shown." (Guild Master)
"Well, believe it. I'm here for you guys after all. We should put some trust in one another."
The loli put on a questioning face. She obviously didn't know what I meant, and from that I could guess that she didn't see the titles I had.
"Did you see his titles?" (Morgan)
Morgan spoke up, questioning what I was thinking. I was secretly proud of her for understanding.
"Ah.. uhm, no I didn't." (Guild Master)
Lorne 1, Loli 0.
"Well, is there a way to show you my status other than having to go back down to that orb?"
I didn't have much hope, but I didn't want to get up.
"No. The Status Projector is the only thing that can show other people your status."
A bit dejected, I sighed. I was about to get up, before my eyes widened as I realized that I was basically a god on this world, so I should be able to teleport us all there.
I focused and tried to imagine us being warped into space then teleported into the room where the orb was. I stood up, and a window greeted me.
Skill Learned Mass Teleportation: Teleport yourself alongside as many people you have the magic power for. Magic power varies per person and distance traveled. (10/10)
Right after reading that message, I cast the spell and we teleported to the orb-room. I had a smile on my face since I easily pulled it off, while Morgan and the loli both landed on their butts, letting out an 'oomf' sound.

The loli guild master had a look of absolute confusion on her face, while Morgan was just a bit upset at me for not telling her we would teleport.
I walked back over and touched the orb, letting the loli look. At first she had a half angry half scared face as she looked at me, then she looked at my stats. She began to read out loud.
"Lorne.. Level 94.... Harbinger of Death? I've never heard of this before. Humanity's End?.... Savior... of.. Demonkind... by Monalee....." (Loli Guild Master)
She went quiet after that. The silence lasted a while, then she simply stood up straight and looked over at me.
"Are you really here... to save us?" (Loli Guild Master)
Her face was showing a range of mixed emotions. A lot of confusion, with some relief, and a look at if saying 'This can't be real'. I let the silence prolong for a bit more before I walked a bit closer and stared her eye to eye.
"That is half yes and half no."
Upon my answer, loli's eyes widened. She was about to say something before I interjected.
"Due to circumstances, I will be helping the demons overcome the humans. I thought about killing most of the humans for you guys to take over, but that would be boring and honestly you guys would fall quickly with that state of panic. I hate humans, not demons. My main reason for helping you guys is not only that master has asked me to, but also the fact that I have issues with the heroes they summoned."
Loli's face was still the same. Confused. Scared. Unsure. However, I simply teleported us back to the guild room. She was a bit startled, but regained her composure.
"I am here to have fun and to kill the humans. I don't want to see them simply fall. I want to personally ruin their lives one by one. To start this, I need connections, and what better place than an Adventure Guild run by demons? I'd like to request a few things for you to do if you can."

She was still silent. Most likely organizing her thoughts together. Morgan walked next to me, and the loli and her looked at each other. This went on for a few seconds before the loli spoke again.
"Alright. However, I have a question I'd like to ask." (Loli)
Shouldn't be a problem.
"Alright, ask away."
"Were you the one who blew up the Atriarc dungeon?" (Loli)
I turned my head to Morgan, who also looked at me. We laughed a bit before I turned back.
"Yes. I wanted to test my new power and to have a grander exit."
I said as I blushed a bit in embarrassment. It isn't like it was seen on my dark skin color or anything, but I still turned away reflexively.
"So, you blew up an entire dungeon with a single attack all because you wanted your exit to be fashionable?" (Loli)
...
"..Yes?"
The Loli's face changed to one of enjoyment and she began to laugh.
"Haha.. Ok, hahaha, I'll help you out! What is it that you need?"
With a smile on her face, she seemed happy to cooperate. I smiled back and got ready to begin our discussion.

~3rd Person~
Back at the castle, the scout had just told the story of his encounter with Lucas... or Lorne. Alyssa had dropped to the floor and started to wail while the rest of the heroes present just stared forward in fear.
Thoughts like 'How the hell did he live?' floated in their minds. Their confusion soon became fear as they had heard of what Lucas was capable of. That meant that he was now at least as strong as them, if now stronger.
Panic struck the group and the heroes began to squirm and leave in hurries, now knowing that they had to train. Lucas had talked very confidently, and he had a very strong companion. He would definitely be coming for them soon.
With the heroes leaving, and the Pope alongside the nobility and inhabitants of the world moving elsewhere, only Josh and Alyssa remained.
Josh became filled with anger. He hated Lucas. He hated him for no justified reason, he only hated him. Knowing that Lucas could potentially be stronger than him made Josh infuriated beyond compare. He stormed out of the palace to go train, and left Alyssa by herself.
Alyssa was currently crying to herself out of happiness. She was absolutely overjoyed with Lucas still being alive. She was concerned as to what he had gotten himself into, how he obtained those powers, and why he had become so cruel, but those thoughts were pushed aside.
For now, just having him alive was good enough.
Being able to continue knowing that she would most likely be able to meet him again made her happy.
It was a new motivation. A more positive one than the half assed training she had done for the very slim chance she might meet him. Now she had to train to be useful to him.
With that, Alyssa got up. She quickly wiped her tears off. After looking up at the ceiling of the castle and admiring the paintings quickly, she turned around. Looking up at the sky with a red face that had just stopped crying, she smiled before walking back to the training area to begin her training seriously.

Short chapter today, I know. I was busy yesterday and today with a weekly update of a game of mine. I have decided to focus more on this story. I have a lot planned for it, and I'll need a lot more time.
Besides that, Re:Avian has been getting a lot of hate. The more important reason, though, is that since the two stories have contradicting 'feelings', it ends up messing them up.
For instance, this one is part comedy with seriousness and anger, meanwhile Re:Avian is more sophisticated and calming. When I go to write one, I usually end up writing in a style similar to the other. It messes up the flow.

Reality Grants One Chance
Some people are lucky, some aren't, some - have terrible luck. Our "hero" is of the latter kind. During young age he got into an accident, which allowed him to learn the fact that he belongs to a rare group of people.. People diagnosed with lung cancer, which he, however survived. Can't say he's lucky, as his life went downhill from that point... Our story happens years later, when his fate decides to make a loop and throw him in the same kind of accident. He gets hit by a truck. Surviving the crash, suffering just a few scratches, he is ultimately "lucky" to find himself out of the hospital in no time.. however every bit of good luck always brings him terrible luck afterwards. This time pushing him maybe a bit too far.. How far? Making him vanish without a trace and find himself in the middle of an unknown forrest. Doesn't sound bad? He can consider himself lucky? Just wait and see...It can always get worse.. always.. .... Congratulations, you've made it through the intro and into the author note! If you by any chance missed the tags and didn't read the warning, please do that now. I really recommend you to. Before you jump to reading, and unintentionally scar yourself, do mind that the story is about a dark, unforgiving world, a world in which you have more opportunities to die a horrible death, than take a piss. Hero doesn't have great luck, he has dumb persistance, he doesn't go through any trial with a breeze, he pays the price of blood, flesh and tears to live..and will be paying for every mistake.. No one outright explains anything to him, just as us for the most part - he is not sure what the hell is going on.. Some real survival tactics are used as a base of the descriptions, they are as important to the world and character as any other element.. Mind that the story starts really slow, but as the stone starts rolling downhill - the pace gets faster.. Every tag for this novel has a reason to be there, so if you don't see the particular element there, don't panic.. it's either well camoufalged, subtle or simply not encountered as of yet. Big thanks to Hobbo, Enyhrye and Hveth! ...not only pointing that the description could be better, but providing invaluable input.. and being patient enough to give fleshed out advice.

There is a common line of questioning that falls upon students within their first moments at Kingsly. “Why?”. The student asks, “Why am I here?”. This is a futile line of questioning. There are those who remember, and those who do not. I’ll spare you the technical explanation — that’s what we have teachers for. The jist is as follows: those who remember are... how do I put this... more likely. They occupy more time. and the space that time has allowed them — the pertinent amount — is experienced no matter what. Allow me to offer you a bit of personal information: I am not one who remembers. There is no time relevant to me, no space that I occupy. I exist by carving myself here, and continue to exist in the same fashion. You would do well to follow suit. Why am I here? Because I force myself to be. Because the universe, the universes, for all its kicking and screaming, cannot escort me out.

ELIOT NESS FOR MAYOR is a short novel of magical-realist fiction, a stand-alone book in the Shantytown Cycle. Written for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), I will be posting revisions as I complete them and should be done by early 2022, though I am making major changes so the timing may be longer. This book is cross-posted on two websites: Wattpad and Royal Road. Both are reputable, high-quality sites. Do not trust this book on other websites. They "scrape" material from reputable sites, posting the stolen material as an original to lure users in, but contain links that include malicious code.
