Chapter 5: Holy Bat Shit Rat Man.

I slowly opened the door the thick wood door enough for me to enter the large and looked around while the rat man zombie shuffled around. Seems being undead cause it to ignore me for the moment, however I’m pretty sure once I attacked it going to go all out on me. The room was wide square crypt some small holes scattered around, I’m betting rat tunnels. I felt a chilling feeling, as I got closer and looked at the zombie. It looked like a large black rat standing on 2 feet, shards of old clothing hanging off it. It dead eyes looking around likely sensing life like I do. In one of its hands it had a large dagger, Focusing my eyes on it..

I thought as I checked around the room slowly, noting a few low slabs where people were put to rest and a small wooden chest near the zombie.

I grinned to myself as I circled back around behind the zombie and activated my fury thrust skill. I stepped in with my strength behind In and then frowned some. After the sneak attack all I saw was a weak -3 pop up over the zombie as it spun around faster than I would of thought. It nearly pulled my sword out of my grip and it started to bend some. I quickly took a stepped back and dodged a wild swipe that lightly grazed me for -5 hp off my health.

I thought to myself as I keep some distance, I sighed deeply I gritted my teeth I I kept just stepping in to range and taking a quick thrust and then jumping back as the zombie swung it’s dagger at me, I was glad for it short range or I likely be again already.

As I stepped in getting ready to take another stab at the zombie it stepped aside and slammed it’s dagger in to my ribs. The impact pushed me back and caused my rip to crack; I think I lost at least 5 of them. A large -15 pop in the corner of my eye, which caused me to grit my teeth and slumped again one of the small stone slabs.

I groaned some and stood up as the zombie ran at me at full speed. I quickly jumped up on to the slab and slid on to the other side. “Now I got you, “I said out loud and raised my sword up and turned it to the flat side. I started channeled the frustration and pain I felt in to the blade, the dark mist wrapping around it. As the zombie started to straighten up, I slashed my sword down with all I had. A loud *Crack* echoed inside of the room as I connected with the zombies head and -15 flash over it head. The rotted skin had a large fragment of bone sticking out of its skull now. It seems I fracture it skull with that strike, but sadly did not see enough to end it.

I thought as I felt a bit winded as the dark mist faded away, I heard a light ding, which I ignored for right now. The zombie moved around the slab and slashed at me, this time nearly taking my left arm off. A large nick form in my upper arm and I lost -10 more hp. “Damn it” I growled some and ran away till I could barely sense it with my dark vision and took a stance. I lowered my sword down to my hip and twisted aside a little. My right shoulder twisted until facing where the zombie was coming from.

I sighed deeply and narrowed my eyes as I focused on everything around me. I thought to myself as I gather myself for this attack. It was something I saw in anime that i wondered if it was doable in the real world. I was shocked it was possible although it stressed my body heavily, to the point I broke my arm once trying it.

I grinned to myself as the zombie stumbled over as it tried to rush me.”Take this you rotting bastard!” I growled slashed out as hard as I could my sword started to cut right in to the zombie’s chest. While i attacked, I poured in my all my mana using repair to keep the blade straight. Until my sword lodged deep in to its chest, I gave a bit of a grin.

I groaned as my body creaked loudly and some bone fragments chipped off me.”I’m not done yet !” I yelled and twisted my sword in its chest while I bent my legs. Ignoring another -10 that flash as I slammed my left hand in to the underside of my sword pushing it up. My arm fell off as I did so, as I started to stand up. I pushing my sword up in the zombie's chest with a loud *Crack* using my body momentum to drive my blade up. My attack finished , the zombie's face slashed open and a large -30 flashed over it head and I smiled just before it’s dagger hit my ribs again with -10 flicked and then it stopped. Before anything could happen twisted my body and swung down with everything I had left on to the zombie's weaken head, earning a nice -15 to pop up before it felt over heavily.

I then leaned back against a stone slab and slowly recovered from feeling dizzy. Using all my magic and my rage on attacks took a mental toll on me it seems. I sat back some and looked at the ‘dead’ zombie and poked it with my sword a few times to make sure it was done. While I was recovering I heard a new *Ding* and started to look some of the new windows.

“Fuck!” I groaned deeply and sighed. I watched as my arms and rubs reformed slowly as the broken parts turned to dust. Seems I cannot be permanently disabled by breaking my limbs, but only seem to take effect once I ‘m done fighting. After a few minutes, I started to look at a few more windows.

While on my way out let me tell you getting out a lot easier then getting in. barely a hour later I was back outside and walking to ‘my’ mausoleum. The main reason was to take a break and to pick up the coins I left behind before. After adding them to the bag I could ‘see’ how much money I had.
