《With this hand, I shall crush the Heavens》Chapter 14 - Without a doubt, this plan is foolproof

The crowd began hooting and hollering! A bead of sweat formed on Sean Wu’s forehead. He didn’t want anything to do with these two weirdos. One was in a dress and the other was holding onto street lamp!
[I have to slip into the crowd and get away, somehow.]
Sean tensed his body, he was ready to make a quick break for it! Huángjīn Gāo Wán, the one holding onto the pole and chain narrowed his eyes. It was a two versus one, would he be able to come out unscathed? Wēnhé Huáng Zì, on the other hand, smirked. That arrogant prick, Huángjīn Gāo Wán, was getting into a stance, looks like he's ready for a fight! I will not hold back, then!
“Who gave you permission to fight in my district?!”
Sean looked up. A flying foot hit him square in the face, causing him to topple over and hit the ground. Wēnhé Huáng Zì and Huángjīn Gāo Wán both took a step back. The one standing before them was not someone to be trifled with.
“Does the name, Proctor Ming Xiwei not mean anything to you apes? No fighting in the residential area!!” The voice continued. Lying on the ground, Sean looked up to see a woman with red-hair tied in a ponytail. She had on a white cloak with a golden crest woven on the back. She was a jade beauty with soft jade skin, her twin peaks were like jade hills, her eyes were a beautiful jade green, her teeth were like jade, the hair on her left eyebrow was like jade, the fourth cell located on the midriff nearby column three dash four on the z-axis was like jade, the DNA strand twisting and coiling in her person was like jade, the jade-descriptors that encompassed her entire being was like jade, the jade rocks sitting some hundred miles away not yet mined by humans were like jade, the fucking trees off in the far distance were jade-colored. Need I say more? The woman continued, “Both you clowns come with me! And you, let this be a warning! Don’t let me catch you causing trouble again!”

Proctor Ming directed that last sentence at Sean Wu. She grabbed both Huángjīn Gāo Wán and Wēnhé Huáng Zì by the collar and jumped leapt into the sky, leaving behind a crater. Sean didn’t know what to say.
[Why me?! I didn’t even do anything!]

….
An incense time later, a stoic Sean Wu was sitting in the very same office where he had been earlier that afternoon. The male clerk sitting in front of him raised an eyebrow.
“You’d like to request a name change?”
“Yes, I misspoke during our first meeting.”
“I see. What would you like to correct your name to?”
“Sean Wu.”
“And you said earlier you misspoke and said your name was Shi Huáng Zì, correct?”
“Yes.”
The clerk at the counter blinked. No fucking way this guy misspoke! What part of Sean Wu sounds like Shi Huáng Zì?! The clerk didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry. This guy was shameless! How did this guy still have a straight face? Still, the clerk didn’t want anything more to do with Sean Wu. He readily approved the change without any issue..
“Thank you for your help. I’ll be going now.”
“Yeah, don’t come back.”
….
Sean stood outside the information bureau. With the sun setting, the temperature also rapidly dropped. Sean needed to find a place to stay for the night so he wouldn’t wake up the next morning cosplaying as a popsicle.
“A room costs 15 contribution points a night, a meal costs 2 contribution points. I already ate lunch, so if I were to rent a room and eat a meal, that would leave me with… negative 17 points.” Sean looked at his fingers. Regardless of how much math he did, he still only had zero contribution points. He wouldn’t have been able to afford anything in the first place. It was a fruitless endeavor.

It seemed he would not be able to stay at a nice inn tonight. Sean had to think outside the box this time. The youth rubbed his chin, outside the residential area was a vast wilderness spanning hundreds of thousands of miles. This vast wilderness was still within sect grounds, however it was not under the jurisdiction of the resident proctor. Therefore, any difficulties Sean encountered out there, he would have to deal with himself.
Still, from the guide he had read, Sean knew there a mountain range only two kilometers away. This mountain range contained a great number of undiscovered caves and hidden enclosures that many cultivators frequented. If he arrived there before nightfall, he would be able to take shelter there until morning. Then, when the next day came, he would visit the job board at the center of the residential area plaza and take up some work.
“A foolproof plan.” Sean smirked. Everything came together perfectly.
下一章
Proctor Ming was not in a good mood. Two months ago when elder Féi Zào Pào offered her the position of head proctor in the residential area, she was ecstatic. The work was supposed to be easy. Surely, cultivators were intelligent enough to act like civilized people, right? That was the thought that passed through her head when she accepted the job. There were about two hundred thousand cultivators living in the residential area at all times, and only one proctor. Surely the sect had taken this into account, right? All she had to do was make sure the exam proceeded without an issue and leave the residents to their own devices, right?
Wrong. The amount of trouble she had to go through every day dealing with these arrogant young masters was ridiculous! You’d think some wuxia-main character would have showed up already and wiped out the lot of them for always talking trash?! You’d think these two grown men wouldn’t start an all-out war with one another because some fucking idiot took the wrong seat at a restaurant! Yet here she was again, stuck in an office filling out paperwork because a group of three had decided to start a brawl in the middle of a busy street over some family honor and revenge.
Proctor Ming furrowed her brow, and now there was a distress call coming from the ‘neutral zone’. “Tch.” Proctor Ming smacked her lips. What kind of moron leaves the safety of the residential area at dusk? That was when majority of demonic beasts woke up and started roaming. “Hey, you two better behave. If I get back and I see any blood, I will beat the two of you senseless!”
Proctor Ming stepped outside her office and donned her cloak. “There had better be a good reason for this.”

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Their directive, to bring life to this new world. Follow him, as he brings forth the knowledge his efforts awarded him, and pits it against his unprepared competitors, in a bid to be the first to create sentient life. This is my first full on story, and is mostly going to be a learning experience for me. It is going to be a story following the life of Arcius as a Dungeon God, with very few POV swaps, if any. If I make any errors, either in spelling or in grammer, please let me know, and I will endevour to correct them ASAP. I was inspired to create this story after reading the Scale Dungeon, by TheSilverGunner, here on RRL. It is a good story, despite having only a few chapter out at the time of writing this. I highly recommend that you read that story if you find this one interesting.
