Chapter 67 - Devil of the Kingdom of Lin

Meanwhile, on top of a hill, overlooking rows of cavalry roaring, charging towards him. Julia Nostredame, with a blank bored face, surveyed his dark elven enemies. Since the day he started a roaring rampage on the Dark Elven Kingdom, he has been at odds with them. He sees the rods, staffs, and various magical artifacts that they possessed.

"Dace, is the mass barrier spell ready?"

"Dace feels like you are a slave driver you know that?" said Dace.

"I am sorry, but if you don't cast it in time, I might have to chase them."

"Dace knows, I know. But Dace really hope that you would go easy on them. Also, Dace want to have those creamy pieces of bread they sell in the capital."

"Well, that is if we win here."

"You still say that impossible thing?"

"Who knows? It might be the day I die."

"Dace doubts it."

Dace said as she raises a transparent red shaded barrier around the whole glass plain. During the months she has been with Julian, she was taught how to cast various spells. Julia begged the lady of Argos to allow her to look at the catalog of spells that she was allowed to scribe. Unable to refuse Julian, the lady of Argos made Dace learn the spells. Dace is a natural as an experimented being born to handle magical power. So within a few months of study, she was able to learn the spells.

Julian also watches over Dace, and the two has been quite a good learner, so there was nothing to worry about her. And now in this plain made of grasses, Dace just casted a 200-hectare size barrier that covers the whole area, with her magical power, it was enough for her to do so.

She was a living magical bomb, but with the help of the Lady of Argos, and Julian's ability to defeat anything he touches, it could be said that he helped a lot with Dace's safety.

"Okay, that should take care of it. They shouldn't be able to escape Papa."

"Dace, what did I tell you about calling me that?"

"It's okay Papa, Dace thinks that she would be okay as long as she has a mama. Preferably I prefer Miss Felli, but the Matriarch Missus Elizabeth isn't bad too. As long as they become my mama it will be all okay. Or would you like to wait for Dace to be old and let Dace become a young bride?"

"Dace...as your father I am concerned."

"Papa really doesn't like the idea of letting Dace become a young bride huh," Dace said.

"Enough, that horde of cavalry is going to crush us. Take cover, Dace."

"Okay, Dace will."

Dace casted an obscure barrier as thick as the earth's crust.

An explosion followed, after that a crater form on the hill that the two was standing. Julian's figure slowly appeared on the smoke, completely unscathed. His power, his ability, involves everything that touches his body to be as tough as he is.

Julian took out a 6ft long iron rod. Whirling it on his hand, he took a step and arrived immediately at the place where the cavalry is. A dark elven brandished his purple staff, decorated with gems towards Julian, he lifted his iron staff and the staff of the dark elven got blown away, leaving a gust behind that made the dark elven fall in his horse. Julian thrust the iron staff at the head of the dark elven, and the dark elven's head rippled.

Followed by that, he rotated his iron staff around and dispersed the cavalry that tried to kill him with their lances. Jumping up high, Julian stepped on the dark elven riders and taps their heads with his iron staff. He was knocking them out one by one, and one hit was enough to do that.

Julian stopped for a while. He saw the giant snake-like ice coming his way, he dodged by rolling to the side, he put his iron rod on his armpit and charged through the ice snake, crushing it totally. Julian ran through the caster and with both hands, knocked the air out of the caster. The dark elven fell to the ground, and with his iris moving at abnormal speed, Julian brandished his iron rod and dispersed nine spells that were surrounding him. He jumped up, leaving a white line, and a gap of air in his trail. His leap cause a gust, it almost tipped the riders, and using that chance, he immediately broke five riders within a few strikes.

Julian then flicks his wrist as he dived into the horde of riders, eliminating the dark riders, one by one with a strike that leaves a ripple on their armor. Julian's strength is unfathomable, he wasn't like this in the beginning, but after crawling through a dungeon made by Demigod, he managed to take the power of that deity, and carve it to be his.

Only Elizabeth, the matriarch of the Kingdom of Lin knows what happened. But whatever it, it made him absurdly strong, enough to face an army o dark elven's possessing enough power to topple a kingdom. Aside from his title of Carnifex, and Reaper, Julian Nostredame is also the holder of a title of army slayer.

He is a one man army, an 'army' that is enough for the Kingdom of Lin to prosper. His name brings fear, and that who dares to cross the kingdom of Lin meets certain defeat.

That is in this plain that is slowly being drench with blood. Julian Nostredame, without even killing his opponents, made sure to damage their pride. Defeating them without killing them, and dragging them back to their homeland, Julian Nostredame isn't a good person; he is someone who can do anything for the Matriarch. And with the Matriarch in danger just because of them, Julian Nostredame determined himself to humiliate them.

One by one, the riders would fly off their mounts and fell to ground grunting in pain, Julian, despite not killing any of them, he managed to get soaked in their blood. Facing an army of a five hundred strong dark elven warriors and magus's, he defeated each of them as if it was a normal thing to do.

And before long, when Julian's iron rod bent at the impact of his blows, the battlefield was already filled with blood. And in the middle, Julian stood without a single scratched on him.
