Chapter 179 – Journal Entry 29: Curse World’s Flicker
I was plowing the fields, cultivating it when suddenly the whole island turned into a shade of red. When it happened my instincts kicked in, my heart went cold, my head turned chilly as ice, and my perception went faster. I icily look at the sky, the cursed ‘flicker’ send waves around the island, intimidating the whole island into submission. A feeling of heavy weight came upon, but suddenly four strange lights came upon the sky coming from four directions, the strange lights, are from the four elemental spirit shrines. The lights subdued the red shade, turning the island back to normal.
I have my own issues, but this island has many events that could lead to sad, happy or bitter ends. But as it stands the whole ‘main’ event that could decide the fate of this island or the world is the curse of Sanctus brought upon the world. The seals are slowly weakening, the higher beings that are far from human imagination are held back by that seal. That seal has been slowly ‘shattering’ and if anything, the world is in its eleventh hour. The beings in the seals could be just unleashed upon the world, spreading, creating chaos, ending the world. Turning it into a wasteland of ashes and corpses before going back to their world, merely chaos incarnate that is purposed to do such destruction.
Strong, yes, evil, no, they are merely following their instincts. I know this, simply because of a knowledge that I scrape inside my head, the ‘evil’ that is on the seals, are merely creatures following their own purpose. But destructors are evil to the one that perceives them evil. I find them ‘evil’ for their destruction, their natural birth of creating chaos where they go.

This world is one tick away from to the twelfth hour when that twelfth hour comes the world will either die out or be saved by a miracle. This miracle is known as divine intervention, in the form of a Hero, the world will be saved from utter destruction. Think of it as the third spectator in a chess match, he will watch over the play between ‘good and ‘evil’, making sure that no one cheats. And when the odds are overbearing the other, and there is no hope left, then the third spectator will bring down ‘intervention’ in hopes of making the odds in favor of each other. The Third spectator that dwells with the neutral middle line can only be called as fair. If good triumphs, the third spectator will bring forth a miracle to the bad, and likewise can be said if bad triumphs over good, a cycle that allows the world to progress beyond just good and evil.
Just good won’t do the world good, it will stagnate. Same can be said if it is only evil. It is a natural order of this world in order that this body, this head somehow saw in the past. Was I truly a murderer, or was a scholar who seen things?
It matters not.
...
The Curse World’s flicker is what I call it, there should be another term to it but I have no idea what they call it. Anyways, I am carrying my hoe, inspecting the islanders that are roaming around the villages slightly weakened by the Red Shade's flicker. Along the way, I saw injured earthen mates who fought warp gates. The War Gates consists of many beasts, and usually, when they appear two earthen mates usually fights together, I say that ‘usually’ since the curse flickers happened two times since this week.

The curse world’s flicker is more of a sonar radar that scans every living being in the world, putting them down with a heavy weight, this is caused by the seal’s weakening and because of this that the front lines in the Hillines are slowly crumbling. Their defenses are weak against this flicker.
“Oh Ramiel, man you sure are not feeling ill?”
“No, I am good...maybe I recovered faster than you?”
“Kaka, lucky you, what a trouble isn’t it?”
An acquaintance I usually meet when strolling back to my house spoke to me for a bit, like the others that are sitting down in this tree lined street, they have been afflicted with the cursed flicker. I could not feel this flicker like he said, I recover fast, no, and it is more like it doesn’t really hinder me at all. Sure I could feel some weight bearing down upon me, but is merely noticeable that before I know it goes away. It is abnormal, along with the skins engraved upon me. I hate it, but at the same, I am grateful for it. Mainly because it allows me to do lots of work, while at the same time keep myself standing despite this entire flicker in the world.
“He is coming here!”
A voice shouted loudly in the distance, running to it I could see four earthen mates bearing down their shields. I expected some monster will come out, but what I saw was just Grom running, with his metal skin back. I never saw him for a week after the visit, so this was the first time for a while. He is running, the red glare in his eyes was back, and strangely, his face was making an expression. It was the expression of fear and anxiety. And as he continues, he uses his shoulder to sweep the earthen mates away, he then ran to my direction, and since I don’t want to use the disgusting skills that I possessed, I merely step back only to see Grom pummeled down heavily on the ground, a crater appeared and when I look at the direction where he came from, I saw the Mistress of the Island, floating with white energy surrounding her. I looked at her strange aura. There was a divine, yet malicious feeling to it.
I turned my eyes back to Grom, his red glaring eyes staring at me, his face was twitching, and seeing him opening his mouth, I kneeled down and listened.
“Help...me.”
“Huh?”
Before I can confirm, he was forced to stand up, and he glowed violet, his expression then went back to his usual stoic one. I heard him clearly, and yet I am confused. Grom’s first word that I manage to hear, is him asking for help.

Also, the updates will be sporadic at best since I can only write when I'm free which is, unfortunately, rare.
