《Hollow Moon》Chapter 7.1 Nyssa

Nyssa:
“I bet you 50 bucks I can make it to that row of graves without being seen,” Nyssa whispered conversationally to Wolfgang. They lay on their stomachs under a rickety bench. The graves Nyssa was referring to were almost ten metres away, on the other side of a waist-high chain fence.
Wolfgang shot her a skeptical look out of the corner of his eyes. “There is two of our friends between here and there.” It had been almost ten minutes since Wolfgang had bitten a chunk out of the first ogre’s hand. They had taken to ground when his friends had come to investigate the screams.
“I bet you can’t do it,” Nyssa said, a challenge glinting in her eyes. The wind whipped her hair around her face. She shivered. They would need to move soon anyway. The temperature had continued to drop and the mud they were lying in was beginning to freeze. It didn’t bother Wolfgang much but Nyssa was still half human.
“You’re on,” he said, shaking her outstretched hand firmly.
Nyssa wiggled out from underneath the bench, shivering again when the wind hit her. She took a minute to stretch out her frozen limbs and loosen the joints that had stiffened from the awkward position she’d been forced into. She could sense the malevolent aura of their enemies on either side of the path she was going to take. They were alert and angry.
Look away, she thought in their direction. She slipped out of the shadows of the trees, crouching gracelessly in the mud. When she was sure the Thing One and Thing Two were facing the other direction she wiggled over the open ground on her stomach and elbows. She kept her face pressed to the grass. Don’t look, don’t look, don’t look.

Her head hit the fence and sent it jingling. She froze at the soft sound, waiting for one of the men to shout out. A short pause where Nyssa monitored the men’s minds. There was no reaction. No sharp spike in attentiveness, no suspicion or curiosity. She heaved a sigh of relief then heaved herself over the fence.
Another short one but there will be an extra upload on Wednesday

Off the Vat
Sergeant Gonzal had a very good nose for trouble. But this time, rather than the Cloning vats, the reek of things rotting came from the Mess Hall. *** "Off the Vat" is a complete, very short novel (around 20,000 words across 7 chapters), inspired by the recloning mechanic that Sci Fi MMOs like EVE Online or The Repopulation use to explain why players respawn.

Will was a normal guy in his mid twenties, living in small town America. He was relatively aimless. Then he got struck by lightning. Waking up reminded him why falling asleep in strange places had stopped being a pleasant adventure for the next day, years before. Then, the crazy started. Life would never be the same, but he wasn't aimless anymore. Plus, you know, super powers are cool. Warning: There will be swearing and casual conversation about subjects that might have some people clutching their pearls. There will be dirty jokes. There will not be graphic depictions of sexual activity, or harem shenanigans, as I'm making my mother read this. That would be very uncomfortable.

Dipcifica One-Shots { By - Ninja Rainbow }
A bunch of short stories not really connected in any way (may be some references to previous ones SOMETIMES) about my favorite GF ship Dipcifica. This is my first time writing fanfic so give me a chance and please don't hate!Note: I (of course) don't own Gravity Falls characters or stories or anything like that, those belong to Alex Hirsch. I also don't own the art I use (I totally stink at drawing) and it all belongs to the creator.(Fun Fact: The Font for the cover is called 'Pacifico')
