******* Carolus' POV *******

Great.

I'm surrounded again with monsters and totally outnumbered. Again.

'Why do these things keep happening to me?'

I just ignored all my worries and just focused on fighting the battle.

The dead bodies of zombies are now starting to pile up the ground and the pool of blood already reach the moat. It is starting to turn it into color red.

Super great.

I hope the other waterway that I dedicated to the basement of the castle will not be contaminated.

It will not be quite a problem even all the water on the moat and all that is connected to it is contaminated since I have now plenty of places to gather water in this forest. I also got ample of places in the mine where there is a water pocket.

The giant zombie finally reached me and is now constantly trying to grab me.

I don't know what he is going to do with me once he caught me but I just keep on evading since I don't want to find out.

It is now becoming really hard to fight with all the distractions of the regular zombies.

A hail of arrows suddenly flew in my general direction and killed all the zombies on the surrounding and hitting me and the giant zombie at the same time.

The arrows came from the north side.

Extremely great.

Now, the giant skeleton and his army have joined the party.

I can also see Queen Arachne and his spiderlings started attacking the zombies on the south.

'Is she helping me?'

I sure hope so since I'm all alone here.

But some of the giant spiders started charging at me.

'Okay. I guess she is not here to help me.'

I started cutting giant spiders who tried to kill me alongside the zombies.

"My loyal soldiers! Use this opportunity to end that human! Attack with all haste!" I can hear the giant skeleton ordering his entire army to charge.

'What!? Hey! I thought this is a free for all. Attack some zombies and spiders too.' I said this to him in my mind.

The army of skeletons rushes towards me with their swords drawn and their spear held tight in their hands.

I switch my weapon in hand into a bow and prepared some explosive arrows.

I was saving this explosive arrows for an emergency but since this situation right now is an emergency, I am just going to spend some but I'm prepared to use all of them if necessary.

I nock the arrows and aimed at the coming skeleton army.

I loosed the arrows and hit the skeletons in front.

The arrows exploded and all of the pieces of skeletons fly all over the place.

There are still a lot of them coming here but more giant spiders have now reached me and I switch my attention to them.

I pulled my sword in the inventory and started hacking them into pieces.

I tried to swing my sword as wide as possible to hit as many enemies as I can.

I suddenly saw a giant figure jumping in the sky and is now about to land in front of me.

I ready my sword for the coming monster.

"Oh! My King Carolus. I hope you understand my actions. This right here is the perfect opportunity to really know who will rule this forest."

What? What is this crazy talking giant monster spider babbling about?

"For centuries, this forest has been equally divided into three by the zombies, skeletons, and spiders. It is finally time to settle the true leadership of this place." She continued talking and I just ignored all the things she is saying.

What leadership? What do I care who rules this place?

Just leave me alone!

She started attacking me with her sharp legs and I just parried all of them.

Her movements are quick but I greatly improved since the last time we fought. I am now much stronger and faster.

After blocking and repelling away her attacks, I started to counter her movements and managed to hit her a few strikes.

She still heals so rapidly but I just keep on going.

We were interrupted when the giant skeleton finally decided to join the battle.

"She is right, human. The balance of this forest cannot be held long and a ruler is now needed." I can hear the giant skeleton saying something but I can barely comprehend the things he is saying right now since I'm so focused on keeping myself alive.

He swings his sword down towards me and Queen Arachne.

Queen Arachne managed to leap out of the sword reach in time and I just rolled away on the side.

The ground shook when the sword hit the ground.

God.

What will happen if I get hit with that strike?

"My apologies, little human. I believe I haven't told you my name. We cannot have a proper fight if I don't introduce myself." He started to withdraw his sword and switch to a neutral stance.

'I also don't care about your name!' I am now starting to go insane from all the fighting and talking with monsters.

"My name is Zane. But I was known a long time ago as Skeleton King. The Supreme Ruler of the Overworld." He proudly said that while standing straight.

Insanely great.

I'm getting tired of all of this and just want daylight to come quickly.

I wish this world is the same as the game when you just have to lie down on a bed for a few seconds to turn night time to day time.

"And I will not let you stop me again. You will perish tonight!" He quickly readies his sword to swing but he is interrupted with the giant zombie tackling him unto the ground.

Both of them are now on the ground with the giant zombie on top of the giant skeleton.

The giant skeleton tried to get off the giant zombie on him and used one of his legs to kick him away.

The zombie was kicked on the side and the giant skeleton is now starting to get up.

I suddenly heard the sound of something spitting behind me and quickly dodge to the side.

I managed to evade it and saw a green substance flying towards the fallen down giant zombie. The substance is splattered all over him.

The giant zombie doesn't seem to mind the substance on him that I believe is a poison and just started to slowly get up.

I remembered that he has a max level poison resistance so the green substance on him is probably just like water flowing down on him.

I quickly turned around to face Queen Arachne with a bow and arrows.

I fired about ten explosive arrows towards her at a fast pace.

'Let's see if you can regenerate that.' I said to myself while looking at the arrows rapidly flying towards her.

The explosive arrows hit her and blow up in a quick and consistent interval.

Smoke began to fill the area and I can't now see her.

I turned my attention to the other two giant monsters since she is probably in pieces.

They are now focused on each other and then the giant skeleton thrust his sword forward stabbing the giant zombie on the chest.

His sword went through but I can hear no scream from the giant zombie or any type of reaction from the sword stuck in his chest.

The giant zombie just continues standing still then suddenly he raised his right hand to punch the giant skeleton.

The giant skeleton got hit in the face hard and got pushed back about a dozen blocks but he managed to keep on standing.

I didn't know that giant zombie can pack a heavy punch.

He is very slow in movement but can deliver a decisive blow to his enemies.

He switches his target to me since the giant skeleton is now very far away from him and I'm the nearest one right now.

He still got a big iron sword stuck in his chest but he just started walking towards me.

I was about to ready another explosive arrow in my hand when suddenly I can see something coming towards me from my side.

I didn't have time to get the shield in my inventory or to dodge it so I just tried to block the attack using my right arm.

The blow was really great but luckily I didn't receive any damage and my gauntlet armor managed to withstand the blow.

It is Queen Arachne that attacked me.

'Wow. She managed to survive that attack and regenerate herself huh.'

I switch my weapon on my hand into a hammer and tried to flatten her into the ground.

She managed to dodge my attack and now is about 10 blocks away from me.

I can see the giant zombie lean down on my left side and tried to grab me again but this time I didn't dodge or run and just swing my hammer on one of his legs.

He loses his balance and begins to fall on the ground face up.

The giant skeleton used this chance to pulled out his giant sword in the zombie's chest.

The sound of the sword being pulled from the giant zombie is not pleasant to hear but I didn't let my guard down and keep my eyes on them.

The giant skeleton has his weapon back on his hands and is now trying to kill me.

I quickly throw an ender pearl on his right shoulder.

I suddenly teleported close to his face and I swing my hammer hard on his cheeks.

He received the mighty blow of my hammer and he started to fall down dragging along the giant zombie with him.

I throw another ender pearl towards in front of Queen Arachne while in mid-air and transferred there.

I quickly switch my weapon into a sword and immediately swing to cut her face.

She didn't have time to protect herself and I managed to deal with her considerable damage.

She quickly leaped backward to distance herself from me to avoid getting attacked again.

I looked around to see all of the giant monsters on the ground or trying to distance from me.

A lot of their army that they brought with them are now dead on the ground for killing each other or died getting in between our battle.

There is now a moment of silence in the field.

'Finally! I can finally rest a moment before they started charging again.' I quickly said to myself while still looking at my enemies.

******* Queen Thea's POV *******

I can't believe what I'm seeing.

Even the darkness of the night, the events can still be seen.

King Carolus managed to fight these giants monsters all by himself and he even managed to deal heavy damages on them to make them fall on the ground or distance away from him.

So this is the person Arthur keeps bragging about that can take a thousand well-armed soldiers alone and win.

He is doing impossible things like quickly moving around so quickly in the blink of an eye using those green orbs.

All of the things that Arthur said to me that I didn't believe is now starting to make sense to me.

My attention to the battle was averted by the zombies traveling around the castle.

Some of them are still attacking the castle but most of them are now traveling towards the west like they after somebody.

I was planning to order a sortie to attack the undead army from the back but reconsidered my plan since there is no need to leave this castle.

The reason I came up with that plan is that I'm worried that the zombie army will continue traveling west and manage to reach my kingdom.

I just hope they turned around and go back to whatever place they came from.

I can see Arthur trying to leave my side.

"Where are you going, Arthur?" I quickly asked him and he immediately stopped on his tracks.

"I have to help King Carolus." He said this without turning around to face me.

"What? What nonsense are you talking about? Can't you see what is going down there? There are giant monsters fighting and thousands of monsters reaping each other apart." I said to him to change his mind.

He didn't say anything for a moment and just keep on standing for a while.

I was starting to worry that he might dash off the moment I took my eyes off him and was starting walk towards him to physically stop him.

To my surprise, he just turned around and began to walk back to his position and I didn't say anything.

All of the people of this castle just continued watching the battle of monsters while trying to survive the night.
