******* Carolus' POV *******

I'm sitting alone in my room right now.

I quickly send both Arthur and Rose outside to process all the information that I recently know.

I can't believe what just Rose said about the ender dragon.

The ender dragon is powerful as heck.

She alone created two dimensions and all the monsters.

She then sends them to this world which is crazy since I fought with her creations and they are really strong so I started to wonder how strong she really is.

She also defeated thousands of armies equip with diamond armor and weapons all by herself.

Now I know the reason why there are no people in this world wearing or using any diamonds.

The diamond resources are already depleted in this world but I wonder why there are still diamonds in this forest? Probably because they can't mine it with the monsters strolling around and originating from here.

I got lucky that I managed to mine some of the diamonds though I wonder about the lands beyond the known world.

Is this flat world have a world border or you'll just fall to your death once you reach the edge? It will be quite funny to know that this world is shaped like a very big cube.

The ender is nothing like the game.

Is she the one destroying this world?

Is this goddess of all creations the one who send me here?

Am I supposed to save this world?

A series of questions soared in my head that I'm about to lose my mind.

Rose also gave me a letter that supposed to be written by a prophet or something.

She said that I'm the only who can read this in this world and this is a message from the goddess.

Apparently, Rose was sent to carry this message to gave to me.

She sent out together with 100 people and all of them perish.

I stare at the letter that I'm holding right now.

I have no idea if this letter is really meant for me.

I opened the letter.

I was shocked to see that it is written with the language that I know back in my own world.

'I know you have so many questions.

Why are you here in this world?

What you are set to do?

Why you?

Don't worry. I'm going to answer them all but you have to travel to the Kingdom of Aezeokar.

People of this world are starting to forget about me and I'm starting to lose my connections to them.

I can now only talk to a single person.

They call that person the prophet.

Meet with that person.

What is this?

Someone is really responsible for sending me to this world and it is goddess no less.

Oh my god.

I smack my head hard on the table.

Why me?

I rolled my head to the side so I breathe.

My situation is starting to get more complicated but at least I have a primary purpose now.

I know my destination and I know who I'm going to talk to.

I folded the letter and kept it in my inventory for safe keeping.

I decided to go to the enchanting room to read once again the journals and books.

I thought the stories about the heroes and their conquests written in those books are just myths so I just ignored it but now I'm not sure.

Damn.

Why I am so stupid and carefree?

I started walking outside my room and see that Rose and Arthur are no longer on the third floor.

I don't know where they are so I just keep walking towards the enchanting room.

I opened the door and surprised to see Queen Thea is in the enchanting room.

I thought she preparing to leave. What is she doing here?

I can see her holding an enchanted stone hoe in her hands.

******* Queen Thea's POV *******

After meeting with King Carolus, I was about to go to my general to help him prepare the army to leave when I decided to have a quick look around in the castle one last time.

I went into the map room first to look at maps for the last time.

I remember not sleeping at all and just keep on formulating strategies in this room.

After looking around in the map room, I decided to just get back to my duties and start being a queen again when I saw the door of the enchanting room.

I remember seeing King Carolus in that room teaching the children how to read and write.

I went inside the enchanting room to have a look around.

I opened the door and saw lots and lots of books in the bookshelves and an enchanting table in the corner.

A table and a bunch of chairs are placed here to which King Carolus used for the children's education.

I started opening books and read for the meantime.

There is a lot of information here though they are dated, it is still useful like the research about monsters by Oliver Cromwell.

I wonder where did King Carolus get these books?

I started to get bored with the books so I started opening chests to see what is inside.

I know that I'm not supposed to do this but King Carolus said that we can do whatever we want and be feel at home.

I saw quite a lot of things inside the chests like tools, weapons, and armors.

They vary from wooden to stone to iron.

Almost all of them are enchanted that I started to wonder who is talented enough to be able to enchant these many items.

I randomly picked an item like a stone sword and a stone shield.

They are not well made and so worn out so it is probably a junk item.

I held so many items in my hands until I started to go with the farming tools and saw a particular item.

An enchanted stone hoe.

I quickly held it in my hand and saw that it is enchanted with Unbreaking I and Efficiency I.

This is a really rare item to have two enchantments.

The only one I know that can do this is my mother.

I remembered that my mother gave my father an enchanted hoe with the same enchantments to help him with his work.

Is this the same hoe that my mother gifted to my father?

I suddenly heard the door opened and saw King Carolus outside.

He saw me and he then slowly walked inside.

Does he know what happened to my father?

"Do you know?" I suddenly asked him.

My mind is so confused right now and I don't really know what did I just said.

He looked at me with confusion.

I was about to start explaining when he started to walk towards one of the chests in the room.

"Now I think about it. Your name sounds familiar." I heard him speak while he is looking at the contents of the chests one by one.

After a moment, I saw him holding a satchel in his hand.

I remember that satchel.

That is what my parents use to hold their letters.

He noticed my intense gaze towards the satchel and handed it to me.

I quickly put the hoe in my inventory and received the satchel.

I frantically read the letters one by one.

No doubt.

This is my parent's handwriting.

What is this doing in here?

"Based on your reaction and your crying, it seems your the daughter of Rolf and Maria." I suddenly heard King Carolus voice.

I didn't notice that I started crying and I quickly wipe my tears away.

This is not a fit behavior for a queen but no matter how I wipe my tears, they still keep on going.

I noticed King Carolus is handing me what looks like a towel.

I quickly receive it and started cleaning my face.

"Why do you...?" I was now having trouble speaking since I'm crying so hard.

I saw that King Carolus is just standing beside me not speaking.

I can't see any judgment in his eyes or any type of critic on what I'm doing right now.

He just patiently waited for me to calm down.

I took a deep breathe after a while to calm myself down.

"I apologized for my awful display," I said to him while bowing my head.

He didn't speak and just nodded his head.

After a long time, I finally have a clue about my father.

"How did you get these?" I finally cleared my mind and asked him a question.

"From your father."

"What!? He is alive?"

"No. I killed him." He quickly answered my question with an indifferent tone.

I was so shocked about what he just said.

I was about to equip my sword but I managed to stop myself.

"Why?" I just asked him a question but my mind started to become clouded again.

"He was already a zombie." He just casually said while staring at me.

"I see." I just said to him since I don't really know what to say.

I don't really know what to feel right now.

Am I supposed to be happy that I finally found information about my father that I can now tell my mother's grave or be sad knowing he turned into a zombie and got killed?

I was about to return the satchel and the stone hoe in the chest when King Carolus said to just bring it with me since it belongs to my parents.

I thanked him once again and started walking outside the keep.

I'm starting to wonder what I'm going to do with my life.

I accepted being a queen of Astikuviel so I can find information about my father but now I finally found it, I don't really know what to do.

I just emptied my mind and continued walking.

******* Arthur's POV *******

I was about to start preparing things to leave with Queen Thea and her army when suddenly I know the story about King Carolus.

I chased after Rose in the tower in the northwest of the castle since she quickly left when King Carolus ordered to be left alone.

We are standing side by side and nobody is talking.

"Is it true about all the things you just said?" I asked Rose after a while.

"Do you think I'm lying?" She answered my question with a question while turning her head to stare at me.

I stayed silent again.

I can't believe that King Carolus is the hero that the world is waiting for.

Why did he decide to hide instead of helping mankind?

He probably has a reason for it.

Rose also said that he is 528 years old which is hard to believe but considering what he can do, it is not impossible.

She also knows about his abilities and gifts.

I don't know how she got this information but I think it is something to do with the ball with an eye inside that she used in the basement.

"What are you going to do?" I just asked her after a moment.

"I'm going to convince, no, I'm going to demand from him to come with me back to my kingdom to talk with the prophet."

Her voice is so full of hatred.

I don't know what happened to her but I'm pretty sure her anger is placed at the wrong person.

We created this problem.

Our greed is what brought the ender dragon to life and filled this world with monsters.

King Carolus didn't ask for this so why does he need to clean up our problems?

I didn't voice any of my thoughts and just remained silent.

After a while, I just left her in the tower and started walking back to the keep to start preparing for the journey.

The queen said that they will leave tomorrow the moment the sun rises in the sky.

I also need to start preparing on how to save my people in the Kingdom of Chaephitopia.

I still don't know what my plan is but I'm not going to abandon them and I'm going to do whatever it takes to save them.

I stopped for a moment and look up to the sky.

'Goddess. I know I always asked for you a lot of things but this time, only your blessings are what I needed from you and also give me the courage to fight my enemies.'
