******* Carolus' POV *******

It has been three days since we left in the territory of Sisilla which means it is been a week since I left my castle.

It only took less than a day to get out of the swamp since I push Rose and our horses to travel as fast as they can. I don't want to get stuck in a place with monsters that don't afraid of sunlight.

I could take it easy like always and just build a temporary home inside the swamp but I didn't get the chance to asked Sisilla about her secret of keeping away the slimes since she just started attacking me for some reason.

I don't know what is going on with everybody in this world and why they assumed that I'm some hero that supposed to save this world but I really don't have any idea what they are talking about. I am also afraid to ask them since they are probably will get more angry at me. I guess I have to roll with it right now until I get the chance to talk to this 'Prophet' and asked about the Goddess.

Rose and I are in the northern part of Asktikuviel Kingdom.

Rose actually passed out right now from our constant traveling and I quickly built a temporary home beside this giant river for her to sleep in.

I feel sorry for Rose but this is her fault since she really insisted on traveling even though she was still weak.

It is still a middle in the day and I decided to take this chance to try fishing in the river. I want to eat something new.

Unfortunately, I didn't bother to make an enchanted rod since I have plenty of food in my inventory so I just crafted a wooden rod and use it on the river.

I only caught about 3 fishes for an hour of fishing but I didn't mind since I just want to try what fish taste like in this world.

I continued fishing for a while.

I also tried to investigate the land on the other side of the giant river. I think it is a jungle of some kind. I am really sure since it is pretty far. I should ask Rose about this.

I suddenly can hear someone walking behind.

I am familiar with the pattern of the footsteps so I'm sure it is just Rose. Man. I am starting to get weird for noticing these small things in this world like footsteps pattern and able to see in the far distance. I managed to developed these skills because of my constant battles with monsters and trying to survive.

"What happened? What are you doing?" Rose quickly asked me and I didn't turn around to face her.

'Good morning to you too.' I said to myself but I didn't voice it out.

"I checked on your status and you are finally healthy but you should just relax for the rest of the day," I told Rose without looking at her face and just focus on fishing.

I didn't hear any reply or anyone movement behind me so I don't really know what Rose is thinking right now and what she will do.

"No. We need to move. We are wasting time." I can hear Rose voice after a moment and I can't believe her extreme motivation to get back in her kingdom.

Great.

I raised my head in the sky and saw one bird in the sky.

Hmm. Let's try something else to teach her how to be patient.

"Okay. If you can hit that bird in the sky with an arrow then we will leave immediately." I said to Rose while reeling the string of the rod since I managed to catch a fish.

I looked at Rose after inspecting the fish I caught and putting it in the inventory. She looked pissed and she has the 'I want to kill you' face.

I was about to say that I was just joking and was about to order to get the horses when suddenly Rose equipped a diamond bow in her hand and nock an arrow.

She aimed at the bird flying in the sky and loosed the arrow.

"Missed," I said while looking at the arrow flying in the sky.

The arrow barely misses the target but it is still close.

Rose was angry with the result and tried once again.

"Missed," I said again while going back fishing.

I didn't really see the arrow misses the bird since I am now staring at the water in front of me but the way Rose breathing heavily behind me suggests that she totally missed the target again.

"This stupid bow." Rose started cursing the diamond bow that I created.

"Don't blame the weapon your holding. It is you who lacked the patience and skills." I said to her while putting the fishing rod on the ground beside me.

I equipped my diamond bow in my hand and nock an arrow.

I didn't bother to stand up and just quickly pulled the string and release the arrow.

It hit the bird in the body and it is now starting to fall in the sky.

I put away the weapon and picked up the fishing rod to go back catching fish.

I know I am not an expert marksman but I managed to master fighting in this world since I really don't fancy dying and have to protect myself. Archery is my most trained skill since it is the most useful in battle next to the sword. I also don't regret forcing myself to train in shooting hundreds of arrows just to hit a moving target in the distance.

Rose is probably boiling mad behind me but I ignored her since my fishing is becoming therapeutic and I feel so relaxed right now.

******* Rose's POV *******

"You should pick up that bird so we can cook it." King Carolus said without facing me and just continued fishing.

I am so angry right now but I am really surprised that he managed to hit that bird in that distance while it is moving.

I may be boastful but it is said that I'm the best archer in my kingdom and I didn't even manage to graze the bird.

I just started walking towards the general direction on where the bird landed in the thick forest in the south while secretly cursing King Carolus for his easy going attitude.

I know that I recently passed out but we are now so close in the border of my kingdom and it is only about half a day away. I need to convince him somehow.

I was about to enter the forest when suddenly there are some people riding horses coming from the east.

One of them is holding a flag with three mountains on it which means they are from the Kingdom of Astikuviel.

I quickly prepared my weapon just in case and run towards King Carolus.

King Carolus is still calm and didn't even bother to stop fishing even though there are four people who are holding weapons while riding horses coming towards here.

"Who are you? What is your business in this part of the Kingdom of Astikuviel?" One of the soldiers asked King Carolus and me while starting to spread their forces.

This is not good.

I know King Carolus and Queen Thea are in good terms but they definitely bring us with them to interrogate us and that is not an option right now since it is a waste of time.

I could just injure them and asked King Carolus to continue traveling.

"Put away your weapon, Rose." I can hear King Carolus ordering me while still focused on what he is doing.

I don't know how he managed to know what I'm about to do but I just followed his order and just stand down.

I can see King Carolus shifting his hold of the fishing rod in his left hand while holding what appears to be a paper on his right hand towards the soldiers.

The leader of the soldiers ordered one of his people to get the paper and hand it to him.

He read it for a moment and I can see a shock in his eyes.

"This is the royal stamp of the kingdom!" The leader said while quickly dismounting in his horse.

He ordered every one of his people to follow him and kneel towards King Carolus.

I don't know what is happening right now.

"Your majesty. We apologized for bothering you." I can hear the leader of the soldiers talking and he is now using a different tone. He is now much respectful.

"Rise and just leave." I can hear King Carolus casually ordering the soldiers.

The soldiers then quickly stand up and the leader hand over the paper to King Carolus.

They mounted in their horses and is now galloping back in the east.

No matter where you are in this world, a king will always be a king though I don't know where is the kingdom of which King Carolus is the king since he doesn't want to talk about it.

I didn't press the matter since it is not of great importance than having him talk to the prophet.

I already lost about a year of my life. I managed to learn this by talking to Eleanor the day I woke in King Carolus castle.

I was hoping that the recent event will make King Carolus stand and ordered to start traveling again but he is still fishing.

I stared at King Carolus for a moment then started walking towards the forest to pick up the dead bird.

******* Queen Arachne's POV *******

It is so dark in my giant cave but it doesn't bother me and my children since we can see just fine.

They are a lot of things going on lately like the lonely king leaving his beautiful castle, a newborn legendary monster with an explosive skill and Zane sending a bunch of ships across the waters in the south of my territory.

I guess it is about time I also make a move.

I have been inactive for a long time so I have to get reacquainted with my skills and opened my status.

I see.

It is now 689 years after my birth. It has been a really long time.

I still remembered everything that happened in the past like they just happened yesterday. The carnage, the endless fire and being trapped in this forest.

I invoke my ender dragon's gift of Camouflage.

I started to transform myself. Four of my legs is now being suck into my body leaving the other four to turn into human hands and legs. My multiple eyes are now starting to combine itself and after a moment they turn into a perfect pair of human eyes. Hair is starting to grow in my head and I slowly stand on my human feet.

I am now standing in a dark cave without clothes and my children are staring at me wondering what I'm doing. This is probably their first time to see me transform into a human after a long time.

I quickly made human clothes to wear using strings. I made it as similar to what Astikuvilian wears so I don't attract attention.

I summon one of my giant spiders. This one is quite a bit larger than the others but I'm still the largest among all of them.

I need to ride one of my children since my little human legs won't do any good at traveling.

I hop on the back of my children and started traveling west to the Kingdom of Astikuviel.
