Chapter 27 - Falling Into Depravity
…
Originally, there would have been no way to push through the thick wall that had capped an Ascended at their limit, seemingly because Earth itself was not powerful enough to contain such high levels of energy from its inhabitants.
Li Qu was the only exception as he was considered a foreign race, his origin was not from Earth.
As Earth’s Will was still in deep slumber, it had not detected Li Qu.
But Li Qu had detected the sleeping consciousness and chose not to care as it was insignificant to him.
The dormant Will had only capped the people that were born originally on Earth.
However, after drinking the tea, Tom could feel the limit wall being pushed, albeit slightly.
This was absolutely huge news that would cause an uproar if the powerhouses were to hear of it!
‘I need to contain news about this as tightly as possible! If the Church Of Chaos were to hear of this… I’m afraid that things will turn ugly really fast.’
Tom had sensed a feeling of apprehensiveness and thought deeply about the issue.
He knew that there were moles everywhere planted by the Church Of Chaos, but everytime they tried to uproot them, new ones would be replaced within a short period of time!
Although they had been laying low for the past few years, the governments were scared of what they were planning in secrecy, as if it was the calm before the storm…
While the trio were each having their own thoughts, Xia Qiu was pestering Li Qu out of boredom.
“Hey, what is the mighty Young Master Li watching? Isn't this DigDog? I didn't expect that even a person like you would enjoy this! I thought you would prefer something like Fish Mania or something, hahaha!”
Xia Qiu had felt a little closer to Li Qu after hearing her father mention that he had saved him, it did not look like she had known about his actual seniority.

If not, it was hard to tell if she could remain so casual.
‘It seemed like her father had not mentioned my age to her, what a sly fox.’
But Li Qu’s ears perked up slightly in interest when he heard an interesting term coming out of Xia Qiu’s mouth.
“What do you mean a person like me? And what is this ‘Fish Mania’ that you have mentioned? Tell me about it.”
“Oh! You know, those games where you have something like a cannon and shoot at virtual fishes to capture them in a net, the more powerful the fish is, the higher the points you get! It's super popular and has a leaderboard to show your rankings! Here, let me show you how to play it. I have the game installed on my phone hehe.”
Xia Qiu gave a mouthful of explanation and whipped out her phone from the pocket of her denim blue jeans and demonstrated the game to Li Qu.
Li Qu’s eyes slightly shined as he looked at the gameplay, as if he had discovered a new world…
The world that Li Qu planned to explore when he first reached Earth seemed to have veered into the virtual one instead.
When Xia Qiu looked at Li Qu’s face to see his reaction, she saw his eyes gleam like a boy looking at a limited-edition toy that was on sale and thought,
‘Oh no, have I done something wrong?! He wouldn't fall into depravity, right…?’
Slightly worried as she was, it was too late for regrets now.
After what seemed like an hour, the trio were finally done drinking their tea and chatting.
Tom stood up and walked to Li Qu and did a slight bow while asking,
“Sir, I once again apologize for my misconduct, but I was wondering if you make tea to-go?”
“I do not do takeaways for the time being. Bring your people here in-person next time. Now shoo, I am busy conquering fishes.”

Although when Li Qu asked the System if there was takeaway service, the System had agreed to it, it was probably the fault of that d*mned game!
“O-Ok, if you say so, Sir. We'll be going off now, have a pleasant day.”
Tom bowed slightly with respect to an unfathomably stronger existence that he could not even compare with and brought the two juniors to leave with him.
“Oh, that golden shark. It is worth 8888 points according to the guide, I need to catch it to overtake the 69584th position and be one step higher to the peak!”
Li Qu was showing signs of internet addiction.
Imagine in the future, what would an Immortal of his level do if he were to rage-quit? It was a scary thought.
Or when someone taunts him in some online multiplayer game that he might play next…
But when the trio were leaving, Li Qu gazed at Elvis’ leaving figure with a deep look and pondered.
‘A half-elf huh? Those long-eared fellows in the Green Heaven are…Here? Or are they even from the same place?’
…
In a dark room somewhere near New Yolk…
There was a person wearing an exquisite gray-uniform sitting highly up on a small throne seemingly made out of silver with a spotlight glaring down on top of him.
Below the silver throne was a young man with a similarly-designed uniform except with way lesser details, kneeling in front of him.
“Jeff Moon, what did you find out from our moles?”
Dior Toki asked the kneeling Brittanian in front of him.
“Bishop Dior, one of our moles, Cherry Star, has heard a rumor that was slowly spreading amongst the elite units about a certain mystical teahouse! But the rumor was quickly buried as if someone was trying to cover up the news!”
It seemed that this unknown group of people had some pretty effeminate names, it would make one wonder if it was a codename or their actual one.
“We need to step up our game, Jeff! Our Church Of Chaos has been laying low for the past 10 years, but the higher-ups are ordering us to cause more chaos once more! Do what you must. Also, try to obtain more news regarding that teahouse, I have a feeling something’s not quite right.”
“I acknowledge your command and will do my best to fulfill it, Bishop Dior! May the Chaos ruin our hearts.”
The clergyman called Jeff Moon pledged as he stretched his palm into the shape of a knife and saluted with the palm on the left side of his chest.
“May the Chaos ruin our hearts.”
Bishop Dior saluted back with similar action as Jeff Moon went off and blended into the darkness.
Dior Toki had features that indicated he was of mixed-blood, with black eyes but light brown hair, his name was a mix from his Fa Country and Ri Country parents.
The Fa Country was well known for their s*xy Ingrish accent, although they had their own Fa language, as rated by people on the internet as the #1 accent in the world when speaking Ingrish.
The Ri Country were known for the digital animations, also called anime, it was also a country ranked at #1, but it was for their citizens’ mannerisms, who were well-known to be polite.
The bishop heaved a sigh and said with slight frustration after he confirmed that Jeff Moon had left,
“Sigh, I wonder how long I can maintain this without being exposed… Please, someone help me! I’m not suited for this!”
