After a standoff of a couple of breaths, it was Hyunckel who made the first move.
“Bloody Scraid!”
Kuro focused his battle intent on the upcoming attack. He could feel that it possesses immense power, comparable to a 50% powered Cheiron’s Light Impulse attack of his.
“Indeed, worthy of being the 1st True Disciple of the Hero Avan.”
“Let me answer with an attack of my own.”
“Raaaaaaaa!!”
“Cheiron’s Light Impulse!”
The two attacks met, and within a half dozen breaths of time, the outcome of the collision was yet to be determined. A bloody red attack comprised of the manifestation of power continued to fight it out with the pure Light cosmos that came from the Sagittarius Bow.
A pillar of light intertwining with red and white colors rose up to the sky due to the collision of the attacks. Kuro took a step back while Hyunckel took a dozen steps back before being able to stabilize himself.
“What power!”
“I need to get serious now.”
“Amudo!”
A series of notifications rang in the mind of Hyunckel.
“Ding!”
“Amudo Armor Equipped!”
“Amudo Spear, Unsealed!”
With a low snarl, Hyunckel equipped his Amudo Armor, and tightly gripped his unsealed Amudo Spear.
“Let me showcase my spear skills.”
“Raaaaaaaa!!”
“This is my Spear version of the Avan Strash.”
“Amudo Thrust!”
Hyunckel was able to compress his mana and power on the tip of his Spear. This alarmed Kuro, to the extent that he felt an impending crisis if he were to collide with former’s attack.
“Looks like I need to get serious too.”
In a flash, Kuro took out the Sagittarius Bow and lodge a Golden Arrow in it.
“Burn! My Light Cosmos!”
“Sagittarius! God Slaying Arrow!”

Kuro mustered all of his cosmos to the tip of the God Slaying arrow that was golden in color. The arrow then emitted a blinding light that made Leona and Pop lose focus. Dai held his right hand and his dragon crest emitted a similar golden light that blocked the blinding light of the arrow. Maam, on the other hand, just sneakily put on a pair of shades that allowed her to ignore the blinding light.
Kuro immediately released his God Slaying Arrow, and it met with Hyunckel’s Amudo thrust. It was a Spear vs. Arrow confrontation.
A huge explosion occurred which caused Leona, Pop and Maam to be blown away. Dai, on the other hand, was fine, but the Dragon Crests in his forehead and in his right hand emitted a Golden Light that prevented the explosion from harming him. He hurriedly employed a simple levitation spell after teleporting to catch his friends that were blown away by the fierce collision of the attacks.
“Warning!”
“Cosmos Points remaining: 10 CP.”

“Rest and recover your cosmos before executing your techniques in order not to pass out due to exhaustion.”
Several notifications rang on Kuro’s mind as he took a couple of steps back. Meanwhile, Hyunckel can be seen kneeling and marks can be seen that he was blown away for several dozens of steps before being able to stabilize the force of Kuro’s attack.
“I lost. You are strong and you seem worthy of the cloth that you possess” Hyunckel humbly said.
“You are also strong. I know that you can awaken the power within you further, and by then we can have a rematch” said Kuro with a faint smile.
“I have a score to settle with the Dark Lord. You can come with me on my journey as I know you also have a score to settle with Vearn” indicated Kuro.

“Thank you” said, Hyunckel, while looking over at Dai and his friends.
“Let me introduce to you my friends.”
“This is Dai, the Dragon Warrior and another True Disciple of Avan.”
Dai cupped his fists at Kuro, with battle intent emitting from his gaze.
“This is Princess Leona, and we are heading to her kingdom near the outskirts of Europe.”
Kuro performed a formal bow done by the nobles, knowing that Leona was an Imperial Princess.
“Nice to meet you, princess.”
“Your temperament is similar to my deceased friend Mina.”
“She was killed by the Dark Lord.”
“I won’t let others suffer the same fate as her.”
“Let me help you take back your kingdom from his forces.”
Kuro then looked at Pop and Maam. Hyunckel continued with his introductions.
“This is Pop, Dai’s Bestfriend and our magician/sage.”
“This is Maam, the disciple of the Legendary Martial Artist Brokeena.”
Kuro cupped his fists at Maam while totally ignoring Pop.
“A pleasure to meet you Lady Maam.”
“Likewise, Sagittarius Saint.”
“Please call me Kuro.”
Maam unknowingly blushed upon seeing eye-to-eye with Kuro.
Kuro looked into the far distance and muttered, “It seems that we have company.”
Hyunckel also looked in the far distance and said “Guard us both for a moment. We need to recover our power.”
Both Kuro and Hyunckel took out potions from their rings. Kuro ingested a white colored potion while Hyunckel took a red colored one.
“Ding!”
“Cosmos restoration in progress.”
“CP + 10.”
“CP + 10.”
“CP + 10.”

“CP + 10.”
"Total CP restored, 50!"
The same thing happened with Hyunckel.
“Mana restoration in progress.”
“MP + 10.”
“MP + 10.”
“MP + 10.”
“MP + 10.”

"Total MP restored, 50!"
“This should be enough to deal with the enemies, unless there is a boss level monster.”
“Prepare yourselves for battle!”
Battle intent surged in the eyes of Kuro, Hyunckel, Dai and the others as they saw from a distance numerous creatures of the dark making their way towards them.

One might say that to anger forces beyond the ken of fragile breakable mortals is a bad idea, others might say that meddling in dark forces with little chance of gain is also a bad idea, they would both be right by on all counts but they forget to mention also how incredibly stupid combining both of those things are. Stupid people don’t last so long on the mystic side of things, normal folks who wander over to the other side have a tendency to do one of two things, either A. figure out that the best thing to do is keep their head down and not draw attention from any entity that refers to humanity as “you mortals” , or B. something horrifying happens to them. As you may have guessed I fell into the second category, mostly because I thought there was a third option. See I though there must be an option C, an option where I got to end up not as some shitty back ally wizard cowering at the chance of discovery, praying that one of my wards or spells wouldn’t be noticed by something that goes bump in the night. No I would be the one who rose above all that. I would never have to be afraid. Well I made a good attempt at it that’s for damn sure, but unfortunately for me it turns out there is not an option C. At least not for me…
