《Yin Yang Saint of Athena》Genya Retrieves Crissaegrim – The Neo Alucard Sword, Vampire Killer Whip and Belnaldes Staff

At the same time as Dai was receiving the Mother Dragon’s blessing, Genya, Julius and Yoko were making their way towards the catacombs where Crissaegrim, the Legendary Wind Blade, was sealed. In order to unlock the path towards the Wind Blade, the Vampire Killer Whip and the Belnaldes Staff were needed.
“I can’t believe that we are back here at Pannu Islands” whispered Yoko.
“I would like to have a vacation here after our victory.”
As the trio arrived at the entrance of the catacombs, Genya discussed with Julius and Yoko about their plan.
“As we know, in order to unlock the path towards Crissaegrim, we need my Alucard’s Sword, the Vampire Killer Whip and the Belnaldes Staff.”
“Each of us will retrieve an accessory of these 3 weapons which can enhance them.”
“These accessories are the ones we used in order to seal the path.”
“Retrieving them back will cause the path to open.”
“But as per our previous setup, we all have to face a doppelganger each.”
“This doppelganger will have our peak abilities.”
With a serious expression, Genya looked at Julius and Yoko.
“But as always, we can exploit the loophole of this doppelganger trap that we created.”
“Once the doppelganger makes its appearance, we just have to change its opponent.”
“For my doppelganger, Julius will handle it.”
“For Julius’ doppelganger, you handle it Yoko.”
“For Yoko’s, I’ll handle it.”
“Let’s start.”
The first accessory that was sealing the path was that of the Belnaldes Clan. Yoko retrieved the Belnaldes Gem and immediately equipped it to her Belnaldes Staff. After a couple of breaths, a doppelganger was formed looking exactly like Yoko, and possessing her equipment and her strength. Before the doppelganger could attack, Yoko changed places with Genya in a split second.

“Icicle Strike!”
“Flame Burst!”
Yoko’s doppelganger immediately casted two spells in under half a breath’s time. Alucard, with a serious expression, raised his Alucard Shield to receive the attacks.
“Clang!”
“Clang!”
The Alucard Shield has innate resistances against all elements. The Ice attack was unable to freeze it, while the flame attack was unable to inflict even a tiny burn mark on it. In the second that the doppelganger’s attack hit the shield, Genya already swapped his sword for another one of his famed weapons, the Shield Rod.
“Shield Rod and Alucard Shield Combo!”
“Lifesteal Bash!”
Several notifications rang on Genya’s mind as his attack hit the doppelganger.
“Lifesteal Bash initiated!”
“HP +255!”
“HP +255!”
“…”
“Doppelganger defeated!”
It only took half a time it takes to finish a cup of tea for Genya to defeat Yoko’s doppelganger. Afterwards, the trio again made their way towards the path to Crissaegrim. The next seal was the accessory of the Vampire Killer Whip, which allows it to shoot out Cross-shaped projectiles. Julius immediately retrieve it and attached it to his Vampire Killer Whip. His Aura increased several folds in an instant, exuding a strong Holy Radiance. If Alucard did not equip his full set, he would also be affected by it.
The doppelganger of Julius was formed after a couple of breaths. It immediately released the strongest spell that Julius has, which is the Holy Cross. In a split second, Julius and Yoko already switched places, and the battle began.
“Ice Shield!”
The Holy Cross of the doppelganger was blocked by an Ice Shield casted by Yoko. After a couple of breaths time, Yoko unleashed her offensive.
“Blink!”
“Ice Sculpture!”
“Firestorm!”
Julius’ Doppelganger resisted the Ice Sculpture spell, but was still hit by the AOE spell Firestorm. With the aid of the Belnaldes Gem allowed Yoko to cast 5 spells at the same time, so casting the two spells at the same time was not her limit.

The doppelganger kneeled from the impact of the fire spell. Yoko did not let the opportunity slip by.
“Waterball!”
“Earth Shackles!”
The doppelganger was hit by the water spell and was bound by the earth spell. When the doppelganger broke free, its feet shrunk down due to the earth being wet. Yoko’s combination spell transformed the earth into a mud, halting the doppelganger’s movements for half a breaths time.
“Unholy Infusion!”
“Unholy Bolt!”
Yoko reversed the Holy Spell into an Unholy one, since Julius is weak towards Unholy naturally his doppelganger will be weak to it as well. Yoko was relentless in her attacks.
“Unholy Infusion!”
“Unholy Icebolt!”
“Unholy Firebolt!”
“Unholy Bolt!”
“…”
“Doppelganger defeated!”
After the time it takes for half an incense to burn, Yoko’s battle with Julius’ doppelganger was finished. Yoko looked exhausted as she had to cast spells relentlessly, knowing that her opponent is the doppelganger of the 2nd Strongest Vampire Hunter in the world.
“Let us go!” indicated Genya, as they made their way towards the last seal. Alucard retrieved Red Gem which he quickly embedded on the hilt of his Alucard Sword. This gem will allow him to insta-teleport towards his opponent’s back and perform three consecutive slashes/thrusts/hacks of his Alucard Sword in half a breath’s time.
Genya’s doppelganger was formed afterwards, and in a split second, Genya and Julius switched places as well. Without holding anything back, Julius immediately performed his strongest attack combo.
“Holy Water Rain!”
“Holy Cross Boomerang!”
“Invoke! Giant Holy Cross!”
Genya’s doppelganger had nowhere to take cover from the Holy Rain. It was also hit by the boomerang, stunning it for half a breath’s time. It then received the blunt of Julius’ Giant Holy Cross attack, but it was tough. Only its Alucard Shield broke. Julius had to resort to his other techniques/spells in order to defeat it.
“Holy Salt Spray!”
“Holy Daggers!”
“Holy Axe Boomerangs!”
“Holy Bible Laser Rays!”
“…”
“Doppelganger Defeated!”
After the time it takes to finish tea, Julius was able to defeat Genya’s doppelganger, allowing them access towards the hidden chamber in the catacombs. There were three slots needed to be filled in order to unlock the sword chest containing the famed Wind Blade. The keys where the three weapons in their completed form. Without hesitation, the trio placed their respective weapons on the slots. A blinding light can be seen making its way towards the clouds and up the horizon. The trio’s vision were unaffected though, as if they were wearing shades over their eyes.
A shining sword, as if possessing its own sentience, can be found in the center of the room. It silently floated, as if waiting for its master. Genya beckoned to it with a wave of his hand.
“Crissaegrim, The Legendary Wind Blade!”
“I am in need of your strength once more!”
“Accompany me as I slay my foes!”
With a simple grab, Genya wielded the legendary blade as if it was part of his body.

A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.

Re: (Union//Incarnation)
Two years ago, a meteor fell and decimated the southeastern lands of Gaia, turning them into wastelands constantly shrouded in white fog. None of those who saw the blazing calamity with their own eyes lived to tell the tale, and those who attempted to venture in never came back. Since then, towers, caverns, and ruins have appeared and disappeared without a pattern. Those who were brave enough to venture in were rewarded with a partner capable of defying the natural laws as humanity knows it. People started to call them ‘Incarnation’, and before long, more and more Incarnation were gathered and sold as commodity, especially after a billionaire has sponsored a fighting tournament offering cash prizes to those possessing the strongest Incarnation, spurring the greedy and desperate to hunt for the fabled creatures at the cost of their lives. Claire Saphira wanted none of that. She simply wished for a life where she could live without worry of her own survival. As she ran from the debt collectors for the umpteenth time, she was swallowed by an errant tower, where she saw a frail, pale-skinned girl with ashen hair hung by chains. It was a chance, a chance to participate in the tournament and live without worrying about survival. Yet, something nagged in the back of her mind. Why did she look so familiar? Planned release schedule: One chapter every day for Mon-Fri, and a break on Sat-Sun. The release will slow down at some point, but most likely won't go under 3 chapters a week.
