《Heart broken Queen》chapter10: John

-I think I should tell rose.
Caroline was busy talking with grandma so I went in to talk with rose secretly.
-rose I need to tell you something.
-what is it?
-Caroline wants to meet mad woman.
-what? Don’t tell me that you want to take her there!
-why shouldn’t i? just tell me.
-because that's her future!
Oh no! I should've known it.
-what should I do now? She's waiting for me.
-stay away from her. Don’t comeback until weekend!
-is something bad going to happen?
-if she sees her future, yes it's going to happen.
-damn! I screwed it up again.
I left the house. I was worried about her. I usually don’t care about the guests but this time I don’t want anything bad happen to her. She's so pure and kind.
-she shouldn’t be the one to be punished. Her husband should be!
I even thought about stupid solutions. I just wanted to help her.
-should I kidnap the mad woman? Should I tell Caroline everything? I bet she will understand and won't do anything stupid.
There was nothing I could do. If it's her fate, it will happen. In some rare situations we can change our guests' fate and she doesn’t look like one of those. She's curious and that's harmful.
I sat quietly in one of my hiding places.
----------------
Caroline:
I didn’t do anything special that morning, just waited for john to comeback but he didn’t.
- I'll kick him when he comes back!
I decided to go outside alone. I asked Rose about the directions and things I needed to know.
-Rose! Can I ask you something?
She was busy mixing something.
-yes what is it?
-can i…
Something popped in my head. She's trying to hide that woman so she won't let me go. I quickly looked for another question.

-um… what are those? They look interesting!
-they're not. You're just too curious.
-are they potions?
-that’s right!
-wow! Who's gonna drink it?
-a guest is coming. He needs a time potion.
-what is a "time potion"?
-he needs to go back in time. he will meet his son and wife and comeback.
-are they dead?
-his son was killed in a war and his wife passed away a few years later. He's having a hard time.
-what a sad story!
Humans' feelings are strange. Someone will die for you and someone else breaks hearts easily. My husband betrays me and someone's husband is dying because his love is not alive anymore.
I asked her:
-there's many people like this man. Why don’t they find this world?
-many people come here but they don’t remember. Also we help people in many ways. They necessarily don’t have to come here.
---------
Rose:
I have to do something. She should go back to her world. I’ll give her a potion. Charles will drink it and everything will be fine again. I know that it's not the right choice but it's the safest choice for Caroline.
I spend hours, making different potions or finding spells.
-good morning Rose!
-oh hi! Where were you?
-outside enjoying the weather!
I hesitated for a moment. I needed to tell her.
-uh… you know…
-is there something you want to say? Stop beating around the bush.
-do you want to go back to your world and fix everything?
-of course I want!
-then I'll give you a potion and a spell. Charles needs to drink the potion.
-really? Does it work?
-it does! Believe me.
She seemed to believe and was so happy about it. It's not fair to force someone to love you but I had to do it. Someone is going to be the victim but I don’t want Caroline to be the victim. She's so pure but it's in her destiny. She will do something terrible that changes everything. I don’t want that to happen.

-go pack yourself! You're going home!
I said that in an exciting way.
-thank you! I'm finally going back?
She hugged me and went to pack. I hope she survives.
----------
Caroline:
I thought about how much I missed Charles.
-I'll go back tomorrow and everything will be fine again, like nothing has ever happened.
I thought about Audra and how much I missed her too.
-how can I miss her? What's wrong with my stupid heart?
How could I not miss her? She was my best friend ever since I was a kid. Honestly I love her more than Charles and her betrayal hurts more than Charles'.
I dreamed about living with Charles until I fell asleep. That nightmare came back. something in me said No but I wanted to do it very badly. I didn’t realize what happened but I was covered in blood. I suddenly woke up because of the fear.
----
I waited for Rose outside impatiently. The sun was shining brighter than everyday. I was finally happy and full of energy. I picked a flower and put it in my bag.
-I will tell her that I picked one of her flowers.
I was smelling it when I saw something dark passed by. I turned back and looked.
-oh poor woman! She must be very tired.
There was a dark circle around her eyes. She was covering herself.
-it's like she doesn’t want people to look at her.
I looked away when Rose called me.
-lets go Caroline!
She looked nervous.
-alright! Lets go!
We talked all the way to the secret door.
-I will miss you very much Rose! Thanks for helping me. I will never ever forget you!
I hugged her and she said:
-I wont forget you too. You are one of those special guests. You will always be in my mind.

Solstice Anthology
A collection of short stories I've written over the past few years, the centerpiece being "Solstice" itself: On the Winter Solstice, the wind whispered. It roared and blew across the world, and reached even the Heavens above. With it, the great cold of winter flooded across that higher plane, and the gods staggered. They felt the golden dust of their divinity drift away from them, and the message of that wind became clear… This Winter will never end so that the Earth will.
