Rena's newfound smile didn't last long. Bad thoughts started to invade her mind. Just why did this man want to buy her. She started rubbing her chin remembering how he held it softly and looked deep in her eyes. She was only 11 but was no stranger to the desires of men and was lucky enough to not have those things happen to her at least not yet. A knot started to form in her stomach and heart started racing.

Once they were outside Desmir's manor Yuuta abruptly stopped and looked at Rena. Their eyes met once again this time Rena didn't look away she was too scared to move.

"So here's the deal little girl I don't have slaves and don't want one." Rena almost scoffed at his comments every Lord had slaves it was as common as an adventure having a weapon.

She noticed her laugh and quickly shut her mouth. "Sorry Lord, I did not mean to offend. It's just that every Lord owns slaves it's quite known."

Yuuta gave a small smile before continuing.

"Yea well I'm a new kind of Lord I suppose and for the second time call me Yuuta. Back to your words I've outlawed slavery in my city and believe it or not my fiancé used to be a slave before I set her free."

At this point, Rena was certain she was being lied to what kind of idiot was she being taken for. A lord marrying a slave pfft. While she was internally monologuing with herself Yuuta started ripping up her papers and magic seal.

She audibly gasped as the chain around her neck fell to the ground making a loud clanking noise. Her hands instinctively moved to her throat for the first time in her life she could touch it. Her tears started flowing uncontrollably as she grasped at her neck.

Yuuta felt weird but leaned down to pat her head. Trying to give her some sort of comfort he really needs to learn how to be not so awkward. His hand made her jump but she quickly relaxed. Looking back at his kind face she couldn't help but hug him burying her slobbering and snotty face into his stomach.

They didn't move for some time all of Rena's emotions poured out of her like a waterfall. Yuuta was trapped in her hug but he didn't really mind. He got used to his crybaby fiancé so he was prepared.

"So do you have any family I would be happy to get you back to them." She shook her head while still holding onto him tightly.

"No my mother died giving birth and my father never wanted anything to do with me sold me off the first chance he got." Yuuta decided to not dig any further.

Yuuta could feel Ria's presence walking up behind him along with Terra.

"Sorry Yuuta I couldn't sit still while you went off that angry are you ok." Rena relented a little hearing Ria's voice behind them.

"Yea everything's fine I just bought Rena's freedom I couldn't leave her in that predicament." He stated a calmly.

Ria kneeled down next to Rena and gave her a small hug too.

"We haven't officially met my name is Ria I'm Yuuta's fiancé it's nice to meet you." She said warmly with a bright smile her cat ears twitching a little.

Rena looked at her and then back to Yuuta a couple of times before she had to ask. Doing a little squirming trying to build up the courage she finally asked.

"Umm Yuuta said you used to be a slave is that true?" Ria looked at Yuuta with a small frown he just shrugged in return.

"Yes I was a slave for my entire life before I met him and he set me free as he did for you." She got a little closer and whispered into Rena's ear.

"He can be a bit of a bonehead sometimes but he might be the most loyal and kindhearted person I've ever met. There's no reason to be scared of him ok?." Yuuta pretended he couldn't hear but a small smile still crossed his face.

He couldn't help but wrap Ria up in his arms swinging her around in a circle pecking her with kisses. While she giggled pretending to fight him off. Rena and Terra looked back and forth at each other with an awkward smile like they were interrupting something.

Whispering in her ear this time.

"I'm glad you think of me that way but you don't have to tell everybody I have an image to protect." He blew into her ear and nibbled on it slightly making her moan lightly making her face turn bright red.

Yuuta chuckled while Ria started throwing her tiny punches at him. "That was unfair Yuuta quit doing perverted things in public!" She said chasing him in a circle while Rena laughed. She tensed up for a moment she honestly couldn't remember the last time she laughed it felt nice.

After things finally calmed down Yuuta decided to send Ria, Terra, and Rena back to the castle. Rena was in need of a bath and actual clothes. So he opened a gate which thoroughly freaked her out but with no other choice decided to trust him. That being settled Yuuta met up with Gildi to get the information on the rogue dragon.

She was waiting outside the general store spotting him she quickly rushed over.

"Geez, thanks for leaving me alone with these nutbags I felt my I.Q dropping by the second talking to the Guild employees! This place is as backwoods as it gets some weirdo actually tried to rub my ears!"

Yuuta nodded his head "I agree no reason to stay here let's move somewhere more comfortable while we talk." Opening a gate they were back at the cafe where he originally learned how to use Spatial magic.It seems the owner and waiter weren't too surprised and even greeted them politely.

Gildi lit up getting her favorite drink while Yuuta got some ale. " So what did they have on this dragon?" Yuuta asked.

"To be honest not much the dragon made its nest about 30 km south of town it has been spotted flying in the general area attacking farms stealing cattle mostly. One farmer got unlucky and his house caught fire killing him. It seems to be keeping its distance from major towns only hitting farms for food." After finishing her report she went back to happily sipping on her drink.

"Well guess there isn't much to do but track it down and confront it. To be honest, I don't feel like dealing with it today. Let's wait another day I need to check on Rena make sure she acclimating ok." Gildi snickered a little.

"What?"

"That little girl already has you wrapped around her finger," Gildi said smiling wryly.

"Yea Yea I have a soft spot for slaves if you haven't noticed yet." Yuuta shot back with a chuckle.

"Anyways do you want me to drop you off somewhere for the day? I know hanging around the castle can get boring pretty fast." Yuuta asked.

"Umm Yea can you take me to Rohan's I want to see how he's doing?"

"Sure tell Emmy hi for me if I have time later I might drop by the last time we talked I was a little rude." They finished their drinks and quickly teleported to Celis. Yuuta did a couple of errands in the city mostly to surprise Ria later.

After dropping Gildi off he teleported back to his room in Yuart castle. Rena was wearing a frilly dress like ones Milly would wear. Itching at her neck when he showed up. She flashed a huge smile at him.

Ria was smiling happily combing her hair and putting it in a ponytail. Yuuta took a seat on the couch opposite of them and a maid poured a class of tea for him.

"So I was thinking we could head to Celis for the day. We can catch up with Giodore and get some dinner plus I have a little surprise." He said with a small grin.

"That sounds fun plus we can stop and get Rena some new clothes she borrowed a dress from Milly for now." She replied happily.

"What about you Rena sound ok," Ria asked.

Rena didn't know what to say this was all new to her she felt overwhelmed, to say the least. She looked between both of them and nodded her head.

"Cool well if you guys are ready we can leave. Terra you can stay here for today go run some drills with the knights I'm sure Emery would appreciate it."

Terra gave a small nod and headed off to the training field.

Yuuta made a gate not far away from his old house. He got some strange looks from passerby's but they all kept their distance.

Rena was in awe of the city it was frying her brain. This was the first time she's been in a city let alone the second biggest in the country. She grew up in small towns her whole life. The closest she ever got was when she was sold to Desmir and passed by a small city on the way to Rudon.

Ria noticed her nervousness and grabbed her hand to comfort her. Yuuta smiled at the two as they walked to Giodores. They got the odd glance or two but they were all staring at Yuuta. Whispers were spreading through the crowd on the street.

He decided to leave it be, he was having fun and didn't want to ruin it. It took around 15 minutes to get to The Moonlight Inn. Opening the swinging doors brought back nostalgia Yuuta didn't know he had. It felt like years since he been inside. In reality, it's only been 4 months.

The first thing to catch his eye was Gio sitting at his desk. The bald man did a double take before smiling widely.

"Well, you two went and had yourselves a kid huh," Gio said jokingly.

"Nope, she's actually your daughter we came to deliver her to you the mother is very disgruntled," Yuuta said deadpan without a hint of joking in his voice.

Gio froze and his mouth fell open you could see he was thinking if it was possible. Yuuta started busting up laughing followed by Ria and even Rena giggled a little.

Yuuta closed the distance and gave Gio a handshake and hugged him at the same time.

"I missed you Gio it's been too long sorry for not visiting." Ria followed up with a hug.

"It's ok your story has spread through the kingdom I've figured you'd be busy. First, you become a lord and then get promoted to A class you must be swimming in dough huh? He jabbed at Yuuta's Rib while laughing.

"Yea I'm not doing to bad for myself but I always remember my friends and you were my first." Yuuta's hand disappeared into a small gate when he pulled back a decent sized pouch filled with platinum coins appeared. He tossed it to Gio and he nearly jumped and hit the roof when he saw what was inside.

"There's no way I can take this Yuuta I could retire and buy an island with this much money." He said frantically covering the pouch so no one could see it.

Yuuta gave a chuckle and shook his head pushing the pouch towards Gio's chest. " I'm not trying to brag but I'm a Lord, I literally have a vault full of platinum and gold this is nothing. You deserve it go buy an island or expand The Moonlight Inn."

"I don't know what to say other than you eat for free for the rest of your life," Gio said loudly and laughed while they all took their seats. Gio decided to sit with them and Yuuta caught him up. Him proposing to Ria, how he became a Lord, all the way to their current situation.

"That's quite a story, most of it better than worse that all you can ask for in my opinion." He and Yuuta clanked glasses together finishing another pint of ale.

If anybody could get Yuuta drunk it was Gio he could drink like a dwarf. Ria was happily listening Rena had long ago fell asleep her head in Ria's lap. Rena had eaten so much they were surprised she wouldn't burst in two. As soon as she finished eating it's like a switch went off her eyes closed and her head started falling every couple of second till she gave in.

It was close to midnight before they made their way out of the Inn. Most streets were empty with a few drunk stragglers sleeping in the street. Rena woke up to find herself being carried on Yuuta's back.

She almost started crying again this new world was so overwhelming even being showed kindness was a new feeling. But it was a good feeling one she wished wouldn't go away. Deciding to embrace it she nuzzled her head into his back and drifted off again.

"So are we going back to the castle yet?" Ria asked trying to figure out the surprise he talked about.

"Nope just follow me." He said winking at her. She gave a fake pout ppretending to care. She was just happy to spend the whole day with him.

"Yea Yea don't worry you will like it."

It didn't take long for her to figure out where they were going. Back to their first home. She hadn't been back since they left for Yuart 4 months ago. She almost attacked Yuuta with a hug before remembering Rena was on his back.

Yuuta unlocked the door and she followed him in it looked exactly like they left it. Not a single speck of dust it looked to just be cleaned. When he dropped Gildi off he hired a couple of people to replace his furniture that got destroyed along with a new bed in the spare room for Rena.

Deciding to call it a night he dropped Rena off in her bed and made his way back to this room. Hopping In bed Ria cuddled up next to him.

Ria seemed to have something on her mind it was pretty easy for Yuuta to read her by this point.

"You don't have to hold back Ria just say what's on you're mind," Yuuta said with a smile

"I wasn't holding back I just didn't know how to bring it up I guess." She said twiddling her thumbs together.

"I was just wondering what the plan was for Rena?... I mean she seems to have grown attached to you not that I blame her."

"Hmm, I guess we can decide that later, for now, she can stay in the castle. Milly needs a friend her own age anyway so I think it will work out." Ria giggled a little at his answer before wrapping her arms around his chest squeezing him tight.

"I don't even know why I asked I already knew the answer." She said in between her laughter.

"Like I told Gildi I might have a soft spot for slaves in need," Yuuta grumbled as he rolled over Ria so he was kneeling over her attacking her with kisses and wandering hands.
