Chapter 12 - Scene 2 - Sibling match up Luna Vs. Sol!
The eight siblings, with the exception of Nena, who had yet to kill 100 Golems and would be sparing with Marley instead, stepped up without hesitation.
Master Mo spoke up with a smile on his face, “I have already decided the match-ups for tomorrow’s fight. Sol and Luna will go first, then it will be Ren and Saren, followed by Len and Xue, and Vince and Rune shall go last.
Now go and prepare yourselves for tomorrow’s fight!”
---
The next day, the siblings were rearing to go, fidgeting impatiently while Master Mo searched through his ring for some reinforced wooden weapons.
“You'll be using these instead of your weapons. They create a magic shield linked to your core and realms when wielded, and being hit by one will sap your energy. Once your energy is depleted, the weapon will pass right through you and signal your loss. Understood?”
The eight nodded and Sol and Luna stepped onto the stage with smiles that weren't smiles on their faces, their real weapons hanging like key-chains on their sides in a miniature form.
Sol leisurely tapped his sword against his shoulder and smirked, “So… it’s finally time to find out which of us is the eldest, eh sister? I hope you're prepared.”
Luna chuckled at Sol’s words, “Humph, did you forget that the last time we fought I won? Do you dare to challenge me again, little brother? Maybe last time I didn't beat your ass black and blue, but this time I won't go easy on you!”
“That’s big brother to you, little sister!”, Sol roared back.
Luna roared in response, “Enough talk, let's decide this here and now! Come!”
The corner of Master Mo's mouth twitched when he saw the twins fanning the burning flames of their sibling rivalry and coughed to draw their attention back to him, “I want you two to give this fight everything you’ve got! Remember, these weapons won’t hurt you and will only drain your energy! Now, are you both ready?”

“Yes!” “Yes, Master!”
“Then begin!”
The second the words let Master Mo's mouth, Sol and Luna dashed forth, heading straight for one another with their shields activating the moment they moved. Even though Luna didn’t have the God Slaying weapon's memories, she still managed to get the first strike with merely the help of her spear’s length, grazing Sol's cheek as he dodged to the side.
Though as a result of gaining a negligible wound, Sol managed to get close and stabbed his blade back only for it to be deflected by the paper thin shield covering Luna's body. Shoved back by the rebounding force, he lost his balance and rolled backward, scrambling to his feet before Luna could take the chance to retaliate.
This took a time to describe but actually happened within a mere five seconds. The Twins fought back and forth, their every strike containing the power that could shatter the earth. They exchanged powerful moves with smiles on their faces, as if they were playing catch and not in the middle of a spar. If this was an actual fight and not a spar where they were protected by shields, most likely the match would have already ended.
Even Master Mo was shocked by how crazily they were fighting. Though Luna’s spear outreached Sol’s sword, he made up the difference by using the memories of his God Slaying weapon. Jumping into the air, blocking, stabbing, sweeping, cleaving, slashing. The twins each showed excellent skill and mastery over their weapons, neither giving the other an edge.
However, after ten minutes of back and forth attacking and defending, their smiles had long since vanished, replaced by a hint of exhaustion and the deep determination to come out on top.
Another ten minutes passed by, and now the two twins were sweating buckets as their attacks slowed and more of their time was defending, waiting for the other to mess up.

Eventually, the twins broke apart and stared at each other coldly. Sol gritted his teeth before yelling at the top of his lungs, “Let’s finish this with one last blow, little sister!”
Luna raised her head arrogantly roaring with laughter, “Ku Ku Ku… That’s big sister to you! But it is indeed time to end this so... FALL!”
Readying their weapons for one final clash, the two simultaneously yelled out battle cries, their eyes turning red as the two suddenly broke through the first level of Heavenly Body Refinement! Their battle prowess exploded outward, reaching the 6th Heavenly Body Refinement layer’s peak in an instant!!
Their shields raised, the twins charged forth, meeting one another in the middle of the stage and causing the ground between them to shatter!
“Shit… Nice one... Big Sis...”
“No… It’s your win.... Big Bro...“
Sol and Luna swayed on their feet, each pierced by the other's weapon.
Their battle may have ended in a tie, but those watching were satisfied.
The twins grinned at one another one last time as Master Mo removed their weapons with a wave of his hand, but without any support the two twins directly fell over, passing out on the spot.
The black robed maidens appeared from some unknown location and stole the collapsed twins away, most likely taking them to the baths. Master Mo turned to the remaining siblings with a strange smile on his face, “Ren. Saren. Are you ready?”
