Scene 3 - Ren Vs. Saren
After the stage was fixed, Ren and Saren jumped up upon it and faced each other.
Ren looked at Saren with a smile on his face and eyes full of brotherly love, “Let’s see if you can surpass me today Saren.”
Saren nodded with a frigid chill in his eyes as he rose his bow, “Humph, I‘ll win today and pay you back ten-fold for all the spankings you gave me!”
Ren drew his bow, showing innumerable openings as if taunting Saren, and smirked, “Come if you have the skill little brother!”
Master Mo didn’t sour the mood and merely waved his hand with a small shout, “Fight!”
Saren notched an arrow and pulled back while Ren just stood there, unmoving.
Minutes passed by as the two stood unmovingly, the battle had somehow turned into a contest to see which of the two would make the first move.
Yet despite the fact that neither one of them made the slightest twitch of movement, their eyes were bloodshot and mentalities exhausted. If Saren shot and missed then Ren could move in and win, but if Ren moved in and missed his first swing he would be open to attack.
Time passed by and slowly, Saren's fingers began to bleed. Unable to stand the pain and knowing that the more blood he lost the harder it would be to use his bow, Saren let his nocked arrow loose, making the first move and losing the first round.
Ren’s eyes flashed and cleaved the arrow in two in an instant with an upwards swing that was faster than lighting!
However before Ren could move forward three arrows appeared before him in quick succession; a triple shot, something Saren had learned from Dark Thorn and his hidden trump card!

He hadn’t shown his skill when fighting the Golems in case he needed it for moments such as this one! Ren was successfully caught off guard, only managing to cut two of the arrows in half and knocking the last slightly off course. The arrow squarely hit his shoulder, passing through and draining him of his energy like a ghost. Made dizzy by the sudden loss of energy, Ren clenched his teeth and rushed forth, knowing if he fell now Saren would win with ease.
Having used 40% of his qi on his skill, Saren stood with a pale face, having hoped that Ren would've been finished off in a single go.Nevertheless, Saren threw his bow into the air without hesitation and met Ren's downwards strike with his two battle blades. Yet Ren wasn't a pure offensive soul for nothing. Even if he had yet to Awaken, he was still capable of using his sword soul as the base for releasing powerful blows!
Yet how could a trap soul not be just as, if not more frightening?
Saren had long since judged how far he would be blown away, and the place his bow would be in the air after he discarded it. Reaching out his hand, the bow landed perfectly within. Pulling three arrows from his quiver, Saren flipped in the air even as Ren's face changed! Triple shot released once again, and Ren had no way to stop them!
Through having used his mind to the limit to calculate and execute this plot, Saren suddenly felt his cultivation base purify from the extreme pressure’s release, breaking through to the second realm and reaching the battle prowess of a 6th Heavenly Body Refinement expert in an instant!
Backed with newfound power, Saren’s arrows flew straight and true towards Ren at lighting speed! Ren, having only thought to follow up onto his attack was thrown for a loop as he never expected Saren to pull this sort of stunt. Unprepared, the only thought able to flash through his mind was to take his brother down and end the spar in a tie!

Clutching his sword tightly, Ren’s eyes flashed with a hint of madness! Placing everything into this one last blow, Ren pulled his sword back before launching it straight towards the still in mid-air Saren!
Having placed his all into his sword, Ren's soul unexpectedly strengthened, his cultivation base purifying into the purest possible form and allowing him to reach the 6th stage!
Their attacks bypassed one another with only a negligible inch between. Saren dropped his bow in order to block Ren's sword only to find himself lacking the needed power to block the all out attack. His blades didn't even manage to halt the sword and were blown away with ease, allowing the sword to pierce through his chest and knocked him off the stage.
Ren didn’t fare much better, having taken three arrows to his arm and chest that sapped away the last of his energy.
“Damn… I lost. I’ll beat you next time, big brother…”, Saren muttered with a sword sticking out of his chest.
Ren, only able to remain standing by using the last of his willpower, smiled with a pale face before falling, “Good fight … Little brother…!”
Master Mo, seeing Ren still standing, announced, “As the last one standing, the winner is Ren!”

Luck Lockyer
Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state. But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people. Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church. It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family. That was all he wanted. Simple. It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his. *found the picture online
