Chapter 17 – Scene 1 - Dreams
At this time various when the siblings were exploring the city various young experts from around 1000 km had started entering the town. From common to noble birth had entered the city with one goal in mind to take part in the Sectless Sect exams!
All walks of life came to overturn their fate, kin from clans on the verge of ruin, war orphans wishing for a better life, criminals on the run, the rich wishing to expand their power. All types of origins crashing against each other hoping to attain a spot to become a disciple of such a legendary sect!
Five days before the beginning of the Sect Exams, a fateful trio walked through the entrance leading the group was a certain missing princess from a certain country proudly walking with her two ex-soldiers Jao and Jayce.
The certain princess walked with a smile on her face, “So this is the city eh? For a city, it’s even grander than our kingdom capital...”

Sometime later a young man in his teens dress in casual clothing and a female escort walked through the gate full of an air of arrogance of a prince, “So this is the City you own Tomas no. Your name is Master Mo now isn’t it? Can’t wait to pay you a visit~”
Moving her glasses up the secretary announced, “Prince Drake. I have already arranged a place for loggings.”
With a smile, the black-haired prince turned his cold eyes that could freeze a lake towards his assistant making her slightly shiver, “Ah~ Nai always a blessing you're on the top of the game. Let's get going then shall we?”

On the next day, a short girl stood in front of the gate starting with her peach black eyes.

The guard in charge looked her up and down; medium-long spiky, green hair, sporting a blue-black tribal headband where a few locks of hair hung over with the rest pushed back. She wore a casual brown cloak over her body.
Her face was cute, the average type of cute that you couldn’t really find a fault too, yet nothing really stood out. The guard question the girl, “What's your business in the city young miss?”
Gazing up the guard the girl was expressionless, “The Exams Mr.”

Various youths kept entering the city setting their eyes on the exams even up to the last day not knowing each and everyone one of them was being monitored in a dark room filled with various scentless sect disciples.
A middle age man lifted the glasses on his face and sat back, “Judging by the cultivation levels of the entries this year it’s going to be a pretty exciting examination for this years 13 zodiacs.”
Unknowingly to all the potential examines the Sectless sect already had recorded all their information using a hidden formation that read cultivation levels!
Playing with the keys in front of him the middle age man nodded, “Judging by the data we’ll use the ‘Maze of illusions’ for the test this time around! Hue hue hue with such talents I wonder how many will be alive by the first day! Ke Ke Ke!”
Laughing disgustingly was the man in charge of the first test self-proclaimed Game Master Sao!
At this point, an expressionless youth walked up to the crazed old man, “Um Elder S--”
Turning around with a furious expression Elder Sao yelled at the young man, “What Elder?! I’m Game Master Sao, not some old fart I just turned 179 this year!”
Wiping the spit off his face the expressionless faced young man gave a slight bow, “My apologies Game Master Sao.”

With a sour mood Elder, Sao turned around and kept on typing on a wide keyboard, “What is it, disciple? I’m putting the final touches on the Mazes code it’s been awhile since it’s been revamped.”
Bowing his head the disciples bowed slightly, “Game Master Sao, Sect Master Mo, Sect Master Celia, Vice Sect leader Evergreen and Vice Sect Leader Bu this time have entered a few youths into the mix this time and they want you too--”
The Old man turned around angered veins popping from his face spit came flying at his disciple in waves, “Those brats want me to help those youths pass easy! They go too far! This old man will kick their ass in time in shape next time he sees them humph! The Test is always fair and just to those who risk their lives and--”
A charming voice came out an interrupted, Sao’s hatred speech, “This is why I told you we should’ve just came in person Elder brother now that disciple has to take such abuse because of you.”
“Hmmm Indeed, give that disciple some cultivation supplies as an apology”, a wily old man nodded his head.
The one standing in front the two talking waved his hand and gave a youth a bottle of pills, “Consider this as payment for this old farts abuse.”
The expressionless youth's eyes opened wide, “Sect Masters and Vice Sect leader! Disciple greets you many thanks for the gift.” Bowing his head the disciples took the back and got out of the crossfire between the four.
Showing a displeased face the Sao showed displeasure, “What do you want youngins to know that I’m not making the test any easier for them I have you--”
Holding his hand up Master Mo shook his head, “This isn’t the case Game Master Sao, We merely wish you make to actually make the test even harder for our picks!”
Eyes shining the old man grinned, “Oh? If it’s that then this Gamemaster can increase the difficulty just give me the list to kil… challenge!”

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
