Scene 1 - Day Eight End
In the rest of the labyrinth, others like the twins were sucked into the cards of the zodiac bosses. Chaos ran rampant through the dungeon as teams started turning on one another, stealing the hard-earned points from their members either by killing or robbing.
In the control room one old man sat watched on as the contestant numbers trickled down, Grand Elder Sao laughed in glee drinking his bitterroot tea as one of his helpers gave him a shoulder rub.
Spitting on the monitor Sao berated the contestants, “What idiots! Do you see my disciples? If you give out a little bit of information peoples hearts can easily change. Telling them at they would lose one hundred points if they were caught they betrayed their comrades at a single glance.
If you have more people in your group you can act like a back of fin deer and sacrifice a few to save the many! Remember this my disciples this is human nature when bonds are not strong enough between people they will turn their back on you at a glance!
Whatever only a few of them that will actually profit anyways that thief girl has already hit most of the high point targets. As expected of that youngster Celia she knows how to pick them, that reminds me Disciple 39! How is the report on those ‘marked’ targets?”
Disciple replied calmly without error, “Out of the fourteen targets marked for increased difficulty none have dropped out! Currently out of those 14, 8 of them were captured today and sent into the cards. Of those eight, five decided to take the cards test which three succeeded in passing and the last two are still in the Gemini world! Do you wish to know who the eight were?”

“Send me the names!”
The list was quickly sent over to the Gamemaster to check over and this was the results.
Sol Cloudstar
Luna Cloudstar
Rune Cloudstar
Xue Cloudstar
Raeki Nyui
Jayce Volkter
Garundi Rebara
Karrin Fang
Those marked yellow were still on the card, the names marked red have paid the 100 hundred points and those marked green were the ones that passed the cards test.
Reading through the list old man Sao didn’t expect that, that little thief would actually dare take the cards test and pass it with flying colors. Looking at the monstrous amount of points she had on hand he questioned her reasoning as she was first in the ranking by a long shot he wondered why she would risk her life.
Staring at her name he remembered something off hand, ‘Last name Fang huh? Is she a descendant of the Spider Fang Clan? That clan is pretty well off why would one of their members show up here? Who cares as long as she does interesting things as a ‘player’ I won’t step in.’
Pouting
Stoking a the pot of food Xue face was filled with agitation, while Rune on the other side was making sure the food kept boiling with her fire magic. The two sat in silence clearly in a bad mood about something that happened.
Of the two it took awhile but Xue was the first to speak, “Why didn’t Virgo’s test?”
Rune signed replying in a simple manner, “I felt we weren't ready for a test of our Dao Hearts and we would lose.”
With a twitch in her lip, Xue asked,“How did you know it was tested for Dao Hearts? We lost 100 points and now each of us has a total of three hundred odd points. We can only dodge two more times Big Sis before we’ll have to fight to say in the competition!”

“I saw ‘that’ formation before in the library by chance while we were still on the tavern of dragons and that is was a high-level formation.
The main thing it dealt with it was to affect Dao hearts into giving up on life, it is a very twisted formation to use as a trial for us when I see Master Mo again I’m going to give him a piece of my mind!
You know well enough out of the two of us you who fears herself and me whose filled with heavy bloodlust, that formation would be a perfect counter to us. Only a fool would make a gamble with their lives without even a chance of victory.”
Clutching her spoon full of anger Xue was frustrated, “I know that! It’s just that… That bitch was so smug about it! Ugh! I just want to beat her face in!”
Rune was no exception, as a person who walked the path of the Asura her eyes were filled with bloodlust at how arrogant that lady was shooing them out it was even more annoying knowing that frail looking women caught both of them.
Just the thought in her mind of burning that bitch to cinders made the fire she was currently cooking with expanding to a degree. Noticing her sister anger and how much heat she was giving off Xue quickly shouted, “Big sis calm down you are going to burn the yummy food!”
Startled Rune quickly took her flames down a notch and returned back to managing the heat, thankfully Xue warned her about the amount of fire she was giving off before the food burn she wouldn’t forgive herself to waste any or burn her sister for that matter.
Despite living in the Tavern of dragons for a bit, the commoner life of the slums was ingrained into her bones as to not to waste food that was editable especially good food. The two sisters didn’t return to silence despite the awkwardness instead they started to laugh thinking about the things they would do to Virgo when they entered the sect filled them with glee.
“Hey, little sit what are you thinking about?”
“Oh, I’m just thinking about how I’m going to beat that bitches bottom black and blue for messing with us.”
“Right? I say we torment her by burning her golden hair to cinders and make her bald forever.”
“Hue hue hue I like the way you think Big Sis!”
“Ku Ku Ku shall we start making plans little sister?”
Laughter filled the air between the two sisters as they began their plans to ruin Virgo in glee and somewhere in another part of the dungeon the girl who they were talking about had a sudden chill in her back.
‘Who’s talking about me? Do they want to die?’

Breakers
My name is Joo In-gong. The name that my parents gave me meant ‘protagonist’ of the world. As anyone can predict, I was constantly teased due to my name. In kindergarten, elementary school, middle school and high school. If I went to university as planned then I would probably be laughed at there as well. So, at one point, I really hated my name. But not anymore. Now, I think slightly differently. Maybe being named Joo In-gong was a type of foreshadowing?

Making a difference
Harry Potter FanFiction: Hannah Longbottom liked to watch the people who entered the Wizarding World via the small, walled courtyard behind the Leaky Cauldron for a reason: During her not so long life, she had learned about three different boys who had entered the Wizarding World alone, leaving behind a life so horrible she could barely imagine. One of them, who became a friend of hers, had gone through great hardships to become a hero, one of the greatest wizards the Wizarding World had ever seen. One of them, who had been her teacher, had become cold and bitter, and no one had ever recognized what amazing talents he could have offered, until it had been too late. One of them, the monster she had helped to fight during the Battle of Hogwarts, had become the most dreaded, most dangerous, and most deadly man Great Britain had ever seen, and yet it could have all been different, if someone had just tried to make that difference early enough in that life, if he had not boarded the train to Hogwarts all alone. Already posted at Devianart and AO3, I've included a link to RoyalRoad on my profiles there.
