What a terrible dream

It was about Dragons again,

And they were. Crying

One of them had died, one of the older ones

The one who had led them to greatness

Created a kingdom where they could be free

With him, all Dragons had come together

United in a society that even the gods envied

When he died, it slowly crumbled

What once was a great kingdom

Turned to dust

For us humans, it took millennia. But for Dragons

It was over in a flash

The one who should have taken the mantle

Continuing the legacy

The kingdom

Was a red Dragon

But his sorrow was too deep

In his endless sorrow, he sought death

Flew high, so high

Higher than even the strongest of them

And there, he met them

The gods

And he fought

Fought for death

But found strength

After killing the god of fire and flame

Swallowing him whole

The world shook

The gods united

Uniting their strength to slay the red Dragon

But even this failed

So they banished him

Using power that should have created

But instead sealed

And sealed he was

Fated to the world

And there he stayed

Seeking death

Never finding it

...

Then the dream stopped.

I slowly woke up, pain removing thoughts of any dreams

Excruciating pain.

And itching.

Trying to move, I found myself unable

Arms with no strength, legs not even touching the ground.

As I tried to open my eyes, I found them meeting the rat womans beady eyes.

“Ah, you are awake. But please, human, go to sleep. You have done enough. Just, sleep.”

Feeling something cold run down my throat, I swallowed it slowly

The embrace of darkness cut the pain

Huh, this feels nice.
