《The Seven Demon Gods' Successor》Chapter 34- Martin’s Secret Identity

Helios Empire’s Imperial Palace.
Within a secret underground room in the Imperial Palace, the Emperor of Helios Empire could be seen seated in the lotus position atop a red fiery crystal with a giant magic circle carved on it.
The giant magic circle was shining brightly as a large amount of blazing energy was gushing out from red crystal which was, in turn, absorbed by the emperor.
As the giant magic circle continued to draw out the fiery mana within the giant red crystal, it was also losing its brilliance. Though it was happening slowly, it was still visible to the naked eye.
“It seems like I am at my limit for today again.” Said the Emperor with a frown on his face before opening his eyes. His gaze was like thunder, striking fear into the hearts of men.
“With this rate, it would take me at least five to ten years before I could break through the Mythical Rank Knight.” He added with a hint of displeasure in his voice.
Throughout the whole Antheia World, Mythical Rank Knights and Mythical Mages could be counted with one hand.
Even the most talented knights and mages couldn't dream of reaching this rank. Just like its name implied, It was like a myth to them.
Yet, instead of being overwhelmed with joy knowing that he would be able to reach that realm someday, the emperor was instead displeased because of the amount of time it was going to take him to reach it.
For a person like the emperor of the Helios Empire who was a Legendary Rank Knight and had a lifespan of over 200 years, five to ten years didn't amount to much. Yet, he was still complaining.
After contemplating for a while, the emperor then shifted his gaze toward the door of the underground room and coldly said.” Silver, you’ve been waiting outside for a while, you may come in now.”

Creaaaak!
Following the emperor’s word, the door of the underground room was gently pushed open as an old man walked in.
If Mikhail was here at this moment, he would have recognized this old man with one glance as he was none other than Martin, his trusted butler.
“This lowly one pays his respect to the Sun of the Helios Empire,” Martin hurriedly greeted the emperor as kneeled on the ground with one knee.
After performing his ceremonious greeting with the Emperor, Martin also known as Silver seemed to want to say something but hesitated as he was waiting for the Emperor’s permission.
“You may speak.” The emperor coldly said.
“........The.....the 13th Imperial Prince has requested me to summon all the imperial knights and servants within the Main Hall.” After receiving the Emperor’s permission, Martin finally managed to squeeze out one sentence.
“Oh, I see! This little boy truly doesn't know when to give up. He should already know my meaning by giving him this mission.” Said the Emperor as he shook his head.
“He really wants to jump out of the pond. Anyway, let him struggle for a while. A bet is a bet, he still has three months to complete the task.” He added.
Out of all children, the 13th Imperial Prince was his favorite and also the most suited for the throne. Not only he was extremely talented, but he also had a will of steel.
At first, he was planning on approving his request of relinquishing his right to the throne as he didn't want to force him. He also had twelve other kids that weren't that bad either.
However, after the events last night, he has completely changed his mind. At the same time, he had also realized that he had greatly underestimated his 13th son's innate talent as well as his growth.

He hid his strength so deeply that even the spy he put next to him didn't know he was a 7 Star Aura Knight until last night.
Furthermore, despite being a 7 Star Aura Knight, the Aura energy within his body far surpassed that even of a 9 Star Aura Knight which was something never heard of.
Whether it was his Aura Nodes, Aura Channels, and Mana Circuits, they have all somehow became extremely wider. He had never seen someone like that before.
Everyone else, no matter how brilliant they might be, would only be eclipsed by him.
The emperor wasn't stupid. Any powerful knight and mage with the slightest sliver of common sense would know what kinda height a person like that could reach. As such, he didn't want to let him go.
“I am assuming he has given you the Emperor's Seal to complete this task.” Suddenly asked the emperor.
“Yes, Your Majesty.” Answered Martin with a nervous expression on his face.
Any of his other children would have been overwhelmed with joy to have received the Emperor’s Seal, yet the expression of that little bastard didn't even change when he secretly gave it to him to complete his task.
Furthermore, that little bastard even treated the Emperor’s Seal like a little toy. He even passed it to his servant like it was nothing. Doesn't he know what kinda power that Seal possessed?
“It seems like you have something more to say.” Asked the emperor as he was looking hesitant look on Martin’s face.
“Forgive me for rudeness, I know that your majesty doesn't want the 13th Imperial Prince to relinquish his right to the throne which was why you gave him that mission, but what would you do if he somehow complete it.” Asked Martin.
“Hahaha!” Listening to Martin’s words, the Emperor couldn't help but burst into laughter, causing his usual dignified decorum to slip.
Even Martin was surprised and taken back by the emperor's dramatic reaction. He had never seen the emperor laugh like that or drop all pretense of decorum in any way.
‘Did I say something funny?’ The emperor looked as though he has just heard the greatest and funniest joke of the century.
Martin was very serious when he asked that question. Unlike the others, Martin didn't believe that the 13th Imperial Prince would never be able to complete the mission.
He knew that the quest was extremely difficult to the point of being impossible, but he had this gut feeling that the 13th Imperial Prince could pull it off which was why he asked that question.
From his time serving the 13th Imperial Prince, he learned one important thing about him. He never did anything he wasn't sure of.
Furthermore, lately, the 13th Imperial Prince seemed to have become more confident of himself and cunning as well.
There was a different air about him. He gave off the feeling as if he could accomplish anything he put his mind into.
And even if he were to find himself in an impossible situation, he would somehow create a miracle. This was the kind of feeling the 13th Imperial Prince gave him.
Meanwhile, a moment later, the emperor suddenly stopped laughing as he realized his gaffe. Recovering, he emphasized,” Silver, go back and complete the task given to you by the little guy as soon as possible, I’m dying to see how he is going to smoke out those Ether Church insects.”
