*Evan POV*
Damn it! There’s just no flippen end to them! I thought to myself as I kept killing them, however more would just walk out from behind the forest’s darkness.
I gritted my teeth as I slowly kept pushed the zombies back. I just need a tiny break so I can finish the wall of my house. As long as the wall’s finished I will be safe.
Goddamn it! I really had to leave the small cave, didn’t I? Wait for the night in a small cave, but noooo, I just couldn’t do that.
Anyways, is it just me or am I being watched? Nah, who would want to watch a stupid idiot like me?
*???? POV*
We looked down at the Silver Daemon from the tree tops who was fighting for his life against the zombie horde. He was fending himself pretty well, and I should also say that I was awed by his skill in the sword.
I looked towards the only other person who was here with me, my captain, Sarah. I stared at her for a moment, watching for any kind of signal she might give so I could act quickly.
But to my surprise, she shook her head. “We can't interfere.” The petite figure beside me said. She was wearing a black mask and cape that hid her figure just like me.
“Bu-” I wanted to refute her, give her a reason to care or anything but she quickly interrupted me.
“We have our orders, get the lens and come straight back. We can't risk exposing ourselves for a demi-human like that, his fate is already sealed.”
I wanted to do something, “But-” I tried telling her to think again but she interrupted me again.
“Tifa. You should realize that you can't do everything.”
As much as I wanted to refute, she’s right which was why I couldn’t do anything but nod reluctantly.
Even so! I thought to myself, “I should still do the things that I'm able to do.”
Sarah made a deep sigh and said in almost a whisper. “What am I gonna do with you?”
“Sarah...” I said, noticing her dilemma.
“I told you before as well, Call me a Captain while on expeditions.” She had a mask on but I could still tell that she felt annoyed by the current predicament.
“Ugh, Fine,” She said, “I'm going back with the lens you stay here and collect his corpse. He won't Survive a night with a wooden sword that's on fire because of his own mistakes. That sword is going to burn up soon there's no telling what will happen afterward. At least give him a proper burial.”
“Yes...” I said with sadness. Yet I felt a bit happy. I could still do things as long as nobody saw me.
“And do not engage. That's an order.” She reminded me again but It wouldn’t have mattered, I was going to do what I though was right.
“Yes.” I said to reassure her but, In the end, it was a lie.
*Evan POV*
I cut another zombie in two with my blazing wooden sword. It's a good thing that I don't feel tired or afraid or anything like that otherwise I don't know how many times I would have died this night.
I looked around and there were only two zombies were left, I had to quickly build the walls after this to stop their assault and give myself some breathing room.

At that moment, one of the zombies lunged at me. And instead of blocking or dodging, the only thing that remained in my mind was to German suplex the shit out of him.
I ducked down as the zombie landed behind me, I quickly ran over to him and grabbed his waist. “SPECIAL DELIVERY!” I yelled out like I was in a movie before I quickly turned my back up and just YEETED him behind to the other unfortunate zombie that was in the path. The other zombie fell as if it was the last pin to be taken down by my bowling ball.
“Strike!” I couldn’t help myself. I had to shout that out even if there was no one else to witness my awesomeness.
*Skill Unlocked: Germen Suplex*

Oh man, That’s Awesome no matter how I see it.
I charged forward and thrusted my flaming sword to one of the fallen zombies with the lowest health, killing him instantly. I was about to take advantage of the situation and kill the other fallen zombie too but I saw the bushes move and got on guard for a potential attack.
My spider-senses are tingling.
I quickly rolled out of the way as I later heard something crash down on the ground where I was before. I looked over to where I was and there was another zombie here now, though a wee-bit different from the others.
“God damn it, it's you guys.” I said to the new zombies I was about to face. The new zombie was holding onto a dislocated and solidified, zombie’s arm by its shoulder. The claws of that stiff arm looked extremely sharp.
It was an Elite zombie. The difference between normal zombies and this guy is the fact that these guys have more range, damage and health. Taking care of these guys is gonna be a bitch, but there was only one of them right now, so it should be doable.
The fallen zombie who I hadn’t dealt the last blow to had slowly risen up. It looked at the Elite zombie and as if their minds linked up, they both ran at me at the same time.
What the hell is this!? Zombie-Tactics?!
I jumped back to get some distance while also dual-wielding the wand in my off-hand. As long as there’s some distance between us, I can take care of anything.
I used the wand on the elite who was promptly lit up on fire, he swung the stiff arm he was holding at me, but I dodged his blow by ducking down, after that, instead of countering him, I decided to ran towards the other zombie.
I quickly wacked the normal zombie twice with my burning sword, setting him on fire again. He's almost dead but the elite was coming at me from behind.
I changed my wand to my copper short-sword, and tried to parry the elite zombie’s attack while still facing towards the burning normal zombie. Due to some sheer luck, I parried the Elite successfully but I still received damage.

Why did I receive damage!?
Life:

The hand that blocked the Elite started aching a little bit, but it was fine due to Pain-Immunity skill.
It seems like there are some limits to the skill "Parry", which I need to read quickly but don’t have time for, I countered the Elite's attack by turning around and swinging my blazing sword upwards.
Skill unlocked: High rise

Nice.
The Elite zombie staggered back from the knock-back as I saw a ‘-12’ number float above him.
That's good. I thought to myself, some distance between us is always going to be appreciated by me.
I heard the normal burning zombie groaning up as if he’s getting ready to attack again so I quickly turned around and decided to use the skill I had just obtained.
What I saw when I turned around was the zombie's hands raised up, ready to cut me down, but at that moment, my skill was activated and my body moved on its own. My blazing sword, that was pointing downwards, went straight up in a clean, powerful and vertical line, launching the poor zombie up and away.

The zombie died in mid-air, leaving behind some silver coins and tons of blood.
Holy shit! That was awesome!
Huh? I thought to myself as I just noticed the zombie corpse slowly sinking into the ground. Why is that? Aren’t the gonna explode into various body parts like in the game? Oh well.
I didn't really have the time to think about it as I faced the elite zombie again. It slowly walked towards me, as if it knew charging in was a bad idea.
“Oh? you’re approaching me?” I said as I tried re-enacting a certain anime scene I know of.
The elite has around 100-200 HP in expert mode I've dealt some hits but his HP hasn't even reached 50% yet. Best I do this quickly before more of ‘em comes.
High rise launches them back so I can use it to gain distance and then kill it with the bow like an absolute mad lad.
Just as I thought that.
Highrise (cooldown) : 21 seconds
OF COURSE, THERE IS A FLIPPEN COOLDOWN!
The elite immediately started running towards me. I knew he was gonna swing the arm down on me again so as soon as he raised the arm, I side-stepped in the nick of time and dodged him
*Skill unlocked: Sidestep*
Very cool.
The zombie missed and lost his balance so, I first started with thrusting my sword into him, a number ‘-9’ popped up as I quickly used my short sword for a quick attack.
-5
Lastly, I slashed with both my sword, making a big X on the zombie.

Skill unlocked: Double slash
Lovely.
I jumped back to gain some distance, switched my short-sword to the wand, and started decking the Elite with fire sparks.
“ORA ORA ORA ORA!!!” I kept screaming as I waved the wand around like a mad man as thousands of tiny sparks kept spawning and being launched at the Elite.

I would jump back to put some distance between the Elite zombie and me whenever he got a little too close. It’s a good thing that the wand doesn't take much mana and I could keep spamming it.
Now that I think about it, why did I start with 40 mana? You always start the game with 20 mana.
Welp, I'll think about that later, got to kill this already dead bastard first.
I slowly grew more confident as I fought this guy. Couldn't help it. It was just me and the elite and elite zombie who was almost dead. But, then again, I had failed to notice another zombie coming up from behind.
My whole body went forward as I heard the noise of something bashing me in the back.
-63
I looked at the damage number and started sweating.
Life:
24/100
Holy Shit.
I rolled away to safety and quickly gulped down a lesser health potion.

Life:

That was close... If that was a critical strike then I would’ve been a goner.
I looked towards the new attacker and noticed that it was another elite.
...Shit
Okay, Now I really need a plan. I can maybe get the zombie arm from the almost dead Elite. With it, I would only need to hit the new Elite a few times to kill him, but that’s only if I get the Zombie arm weapon first.
Well, I have to kill both in the end so let’s do this.
The new elite zombie charged at me but I side-stepped out of his way and charged at the almost dead elite. He retaliated by swinging the zombie arm down on me. But I anticipated it, I quickly parried it as I saw a ‘-11’ float above me, my hands ached but I got the chance I wanted.
I changed the wand back to short-sword and used the Cross-slash skill. The blazing elite zombie got knocked back a little bit so I made a follow-up attack with the lunge attack I had unlocked before.
The elite finally died as I kept staring at its corpse, ignoring the other elite who was charging at me.
Time seemed to had slow down as I watched carefully at the drops of the elite.
3 silver and a shackle.
DAMN ITTTTT!
I got hit on the back from the elite that I was ignoring.
-60
HOLY SWEET ZEUS BIG DADDY! I ONLY HAVE 3 HP LEFT!
I was about to complain a little bit more but suddenly my vision turned Red.
What just happened did I got a buff or a debuff? I thought to myself as I looked at an icon that had appeared below my hot bar signalling to me that I had received a buff or debuff. The icon was blue in colour signaling that it was a buff.
I focused on it to see what I just got.
Berserk: You are on your last heart.
Use berserk to even the odds.
+50% Damage (Melee, Range, Magic,)
+20% Defense
+20% Mana regeneration
+20% Chance to not consume ammo
+3 Level to all skills
+10% Critical chance
+20% Movement and attack speed
Duration: only for 1 battle.
Cooldown: 24 hours
Holy Moly. Is this what a woman period feels like?
The elite tried to attack me again but time just straight up slowed down. I could see his every move since he was moving at a snails pace. I dodged to the right and slashed 3 times with insane speed.
-12
-13
-20(Crit)
I finally have a chance against this guy.
*A few seconds later*
The elite finally collapsed and there was still no sight of any Zombie arm weapon.
Hm? My berserk still hasn't finished? Wasn't it only for one battle? I thought as the cooldown for the health potion finished and I drank another lesser health potion to top off my HP.
Out from the shadows came 4 more normal zombies.
I guess that's why I'm still in cheat mode. Regardless, I grinned a little. “Well if it’s a fight you want, then it’s a fight you’ll get!” I screamed like a war-hungry Viking, ready to be sent to Valhalla as I ran towards the new horde of zombies.

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
