Chapter 12: The Merchant Princess (Part Two)
Be strong, Aruh Hydran!
Phew... Phew... I will not fall easily.
Due to I gaining some experience with Naku, I am able to suppress this emotion.
Yes, this girl is cute, but I already have someone I like, and I will not grow up and become a womanizer.
"This is your friend's village, Papa? When the guards who accompanied us said it was a dangerous area, I thought it really was... But it looks peaceful. " (Girl)
"This village is peaceful because of the Naga, but getting out of it is dangerous, Fortuna." (Allan)
Fortuna, is that her name? Sounds nice and difficult to forget ...
"Such a beautiful daughter you have! How did a bear like you manage to have her?" (Spencer)
"My seed is of high quality, Spencer. It is an obvious result that my daughter is exceptional." (Allan)
Spencer's friend, Mr. Allan, took his daughter and sat her on one of his shoulders; The two of us approached to where we were.
"Mr. Dewell, we solicit permission to give water, food and rest to the horses." (Red haired girl)
The young redhead girl made a request as she got off her horse. The rest of the escorts also dismounted.
"Do you mind if I let my horses rest? It was a long trip of several days and it was exhausting, I'm going to pay you, of course. " (Allan)
"Do not worry about payment. What kind of friend would I be if I asked for compensation?" (Spencer)
"Thank you, Spencer" (Allan)
Mr. Allan gave an order to the redhead girl and she walked over towards me.
“Hey, slave… Bring us to the stable.” (Red haired girl)
Confused by the young woman's words, I looked both my right and left, then pointed myself as if she was asking talking to me.
The expression of the young woman has become severe at my reaction.
"Are you mocking me? Naga or whatever. A slave is a slave. Maybe I have to teach you a lesson." (Girl)

“What kind of attitude is that?!” (Spencer)
"Oh, I'm sorry, Blair has a bad temper when a servant shows no respect. Blair, behave yourself! You'll cause trouble to Spencer and the Naga!” (Allan)
Mr. Allan stopped the girl when she took a leather whip from her belt. Phew, saved… I almost broke both her arms...
"I know it's wrong to suggest you this being your guest, but a disobedient slave requires strong discipline." (Allan)
"You know nothing about the Naga. Listen, Allan... That child who you are lacking respect towards is not my servant nor slave, but my student... And the creator of the soap I told about." (Spencer)
“Eh?!” (Allan)
Not only Mr. Allan was surprised, but also his escorts, especially the redhead who tried to hit me. His daughter Fortuna, on the other hand, looked surprised, but also looked as if she found something she was looking for.
...
Prof. Spencer took us inside his house where he served some appetizers for the guests. The three escorts and the driver went to leave the horses at the stable, so they were not present. The seventh presence I felt was that of an assistant accompanying them inside the car.
"Wow, Spencer had told me you were young, but I imagined you were at least a bit older." (Allan)
"I understand how you feel, Aruh is an intelligent boy. At the moment I am his teacher, but I am sure that in a matter of time for the positions to be reversed." (Spencer)
"Call me when that happens, I'll love to see that... Ehem, I think I'm starting to digress... I will start by introducing myself and specifying the reason I came." (Allan)
"Yes, that would be for the best." (Spencer)
The eyes of both Dr. Spencer and Mr. Allan focused on me.
"My name is Allan Dewell, a merchant. This adorable angel is my daughter, Fortuna Dewell The man who accompanies us is a servant of our house, Erick. Then, there are Lou, Bryan and Samuel… And also, I want to apologize for the inconvenience that Blair caused you, I assure you she will receive a proper punishment." (Allan)

The man with the appearance of an assistant put an arm at the height of his abdomen and made an elegant bow when introduced.
"I am Aruh Hydran, son of Tovs and Mura Hydran. I am a disciple of Prof. Spencer. However, I can not use healing magic. As for the punishment for your companion, you do not have to be so strict with her. It was only a misunderstanding.” (Aruh)
"I appreciate your compassion. I didn't bring much with me but you can take something from my cargo as compensation." (Allan)
Yes, I got a reward!
"Now, I would like to talk about the reason for my visit... As you can guess, after receiving a sample of the so-called soap that you had created, I decided to come and talk to you, young Aruh" (Allan)
"Did you come to this village just to talk to Aruh? We could have met at Korka or some other village closer to the base of the mountains safer than here." (Spencer)
"About that... Partly, it was because I wanted to see the place where you have been living... And the other part was because Fortuna wanted to look around the home of the person who created the soap." (Allan)
"Exactly!" (Fortuna)
After listening to Mr. Allan's explanation, his daughter Fortuna stood and looked in my direction.
"Just meeting in person is not enough. A successful merchant need to know that person thoroughly, including where they grew up!" (Fortuna)
This girl gives me the chills… And is so smart for someone so young… Is she also a reincarnated person?
"I am also a believer that if you find gold once in a land, you can find it twice." (Fortuna)
"Your daughter is... Pretty intelligent." (Spencer)
"Thanks to her, I made a good decision in a business a year ago and finally I was able to start a company. Now I have enough money to hire employees." (Allan)
"Why didn't you tell me about it? I thought you were still a peddler." (Spencer)
"Heh, heh, heh. I've been a little busy." (Allan)
Ignoring the two adults talking, Fortuna approached me with soft, graceful steps. If she introduced herself as a princess, anyone would believe her.
"............" (Fortuna)
Standing in front of me, Fortuna only stared at me.
"Is there something wrong? It's a bit uncomfortable for me if you stare so hard, Miss Fortuna." (Aruh)
"...You are very handsome." (Fortuna)
"Eh?" (Aruh)
W-why did you say that? Now I feel like my face turning red, but not for anger. No! She is making my determination tremble, it is time to counterattack...
"And you're also pretty smart on top of that ... Totally my type! Would you be interested in being my fiance?" (Fortuna)
This girl will not let me fight back! IShe is equal to Naku in that aspect. Are all women in Maltras that aggressive?
"It sounds good. If you join our family, the company would be in the hands of two smart people." (Allan)
No... I will not lose.
"Already... I already have someone I like... Someone I love." (Aruh)
I did it! I have admitted my feelings for Naku, I have said that I love her. I love being with her, it's fun and I like her virtues and flaws. Her absence hurts me... Huh? I feel as if our roles had been reversed and I was the maiden waiting for her beloved... Ok, the analogy was not the best.
However, my feelings are genuine and I will not be seduced. As a man, I must be strong and reliable.
"That's a problem ..." (Fortuna)
I'm sorry, Fortuna, but that's the way it is...
"It means that we have to decide who the main wife is." (Fortuna)
......What?

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Surprisingly, in the fantasy LitRPG genre. A girls death forms the foundation for a plan centuries in the making. But when she shakes off their control, and forces the plans of beings millenia old to change, can she avoid being tied up as a loose end? With only what she could take with her in her mind, and a new body with surprising depths, she begins her new life in a world unlike her own. This is my first writing project in almost a decade, so there is going to be a lot of improvements from me as I shake off the rust. And of course, as the world I'm creating comes to life! So if you like the concept, please bear with me, and hopefully I'll reach the high standards I know you have. Edit (04/04/2018): Witness the power of my complete lack of any artistic talent! There is now cover art for this fiction. Its just barely better than the default, but hey, minimalism is in, right?

Homecoming | A Chronicles of Ascension Story
When Jethen was captured by slavers, his childhood was torn from him and left shattered half a world away. When he finds himself back home decades later, by methods he does not fully understand, he finds that the life he has lived has changed him far more than he knew. In a home he no longer knows. Places and people at the same time familiar and foreign, he must decide - stay and help with his parent's business, or return to the land that remade him and the family he made there. --------- Homecoming started as just a short story to break an episode of writers block. It has since morphed well beyond that into a novel in it's own right, and may well end up with a sequel. The writing of Homecoming became a bit of a self induced challenge to improve my initial, first brush, writing quality. Each chapter was written raw, given a once over read and edit, and then posted. In this way I am forcing myself to write better from the start. I do hope you enjoy the story and will leave a comment or review, and if you see an issue, feel free to let me know as well. I know it is not nearly perfect, and it will get a full and proper edit once I am done. Never hurts to fix things along the way though. As an additional note. The story has undergone a structural rework and has been reposted in an updated structure and sequence of chapters. If you have read this story already, I invite you to do so again in this new structure.
