March 12, 2081, a politician and his family that resided in western Nigeria went missing, they all returned to their family house and that was when they were last seen.

These sorts of reports became prevalent from the month of March to August as some politicians, military officers and civilians went missing one after the other with their families, friends and loved ones. No one knew what was going on, there was no evidence no lead no warning, people just kept disappearing.

People in the country who were too afraid of the incidents went abroad, seeking better protection that their third world country could not provide. This idea seemed to work for a while until the people who were in foreign countries also went missing.

This alerted foreign countries who had ignored the incident and had judged the disappearance to be only possible under a lack of proper security. This continued until August. On August, for the first time since March, there had been no disappearances for a week.

The UN funded an investigation team to get to the bottom of these events but there was no progress, all they knew was that, Nigerian politicians and some normal civilians and military men were being abducted. The people who disappeared didn’t seem to have any connection with each other.

The politicians and military men now lived in highly secure buildings with 24 hour surveillance for them and their families. Regular civilians were also watching out for suspicious activity while they increased their home security. This seemed to stop the disappearances as the politicians didn’t disappear for a week.

Then it happened; a social influencer’s account was hacked while the influencer was sleeping, the hacker posted a video on the influencer’s channel, which went viral and became world top trending before the influencer woke up.

The video started with the image of a man wearing a white trench coat, black gloves, boots and a steam punk black metal mask that covered his entire face.

He stood in an immaculately clean white room, behind the man was a wall with something written on it in red, it read [It is good manners to keep quiet while your family and loved ones are being tortured] which set the creepy mood of the video.

To the man’s left and right were two sets of black curtains, which faced each other. The man pulled the curtains to reveal the people that were hidden behind them. On the left side was a man, naked and strapped to a chair, behind him was a table that had instruments of torture on it. On the right side there were a bunch of people, 13 in number, also naked and strapped to their individual chairs.

The people who were strapped to the chairs were the missing politician, on the left, and his family and some of his friends on the right. They were all sleeping but after some minutes they slowly woke up and took in their situation before panicking.

Question like “Where are we?” “How did we get here?” Who did this?” “Does anyone know what happened” were thrown out by the people in the room.

They tried to break out of their restraints, they called towards each other asking what was going on but none of them knew, all the while the masked man stood there without moving like a statue.

They finally noticed the man and the politician said “Hey! You! What is happening here? Release me now if you want to live to see tomorrow” in a menacing tone.

The masked man didn’t react, he just stayed there as the politician and his friends and family kept demanding their release, some begging, others threatening.

The masked man proceeded toward the table behind the politician, the family members who were facing the politician and could see the table of dangerous looking tools behind him started pleading.

The politician didn’t understand why and didn’t know he was on a video, so he said “So you kidnapped me and my family and you think you can get away with it?”

He laughed and continued “You are very foolish. My boys will be searching for me, my party members will also be searching for me, do you think you are so good that you will escape? I am not the one who is trapped, it is you”

The people told him what was behind him and his face was filled with fear for a second before being covered in anger as he shouted toward his back at the masked man saying “If you do anything to me or my family my party members will find you, your family and anyone you love and they will be tortured and killed. I’m warning you, let us go”

The masked man just stood still before the table of tools, staring at the tools. He took out a tray, filled it with some tools and proceeded towards the politician’s family.

The politician in his desperation began to do everything he could to get the man to stop doing what he planned to do, he threatened, by giving detailed description of the things he and the gang he controlled had done to people who offended them, and tempted, promising the man huge sums of money if he let them go.

The masked man waited in front of the politician’s family until he was done speaking. When he was done, he proceeded toward the politician’s granddaughter and began to torture her before him. He started by pulling her nails out one by one as she shook and screamed in pain.

The politician screamed more threats in rage but the masked man as if deaf to the threats kept torturing her. He removed all her teeth, broke all her fingers before, peeled her skin, poked her eyes out and set her on fire.

During the whole process the politician’s threats stopped and he began to cry along with his family members as they watched helplessly as their daughter was tortured to death, they were tormented by the girls constant pleas for help and their inability to save her.

By the end of the granddaughter’s torture they all were silent, the masked man had stayed quiet throughout the whole thing, and they knew he planned on doing the same to all of them.

The video continued with the masked man torturing the rest of the family and friends, after the politician had his granddaughter tortured he thought he wouldn’t cry until, his son’s torture started; the tears he thought were finished seemed to have restocked.

The video ended with the prolonged torture of the politician, that involved sticking a hot metal in the man’s butthole and other forms of torture apart from what he did to his family.

At the end of the video the room was painted red with blood and so was the masked man, the masked man returned to the center of the room where he had been at the start and the video ended.
