Mira looked at the list of monsters that were within 40 miles from her position. She thought ‘They’ll find out but with Charlotte we should be able to run if something that is too strong comes around’.

She then noticed a strange detail; there was only one monster race that was around 40 miles from their location. The closest race to 40 miles was 31 miles from their location and the farthest race was 67 miles away. Only a few [Rank 7 Homo Azard] were 42 miles from their position. This meant that there could be races with only Rank 8 and above members in the empty spaces or the spaces could truly be empty.

Mira relayed this information to Jake and he looked at Charlotte for her opinion on the matter. Charlotte said “I’ve scouted that place before. There were many Rank 7 races and above around that spot, way more than you have shown. If they are not there now it could only mean that they’re fighting a war with a relatively strong King or they’re going after the Rank 6s”.

Jake’s eyes widened and he said in haste “Charlotte, go and hide the people and stay with them” he looked at Mira and said “The Azard is the race of the ruling Rank 20 King of this area. It was one of the monsters that attacked the Pentagon at the beginning of the apocalypse. The other monsters that attacked with it had either died or are under it now. The monsters close to the Pentagon are generally higher than Rank 7 but their children aren’t so if the children aren’t around it only means their parents have gone somewhere with them.”

Mira instantly understood what this meant as she thought ‘The Rank 20 has sent some powerful monsters, it could be trying to suppress us or it could be fighting another King but both possibilities are bad for the people’

Charlotte had already disappeared by the time Mira finished thinking. Jake said “We shouldn’t miss this opportunity, we’ll go to the Pentagon and get what we want. Let’s go. Do you want to follow us Mira?” Mira answered “Of course”.

Jake smiled and dashed in the direction of the Pentagon. Mira used Nova on her feet and her hips to follow him. Kenny had disappeared already.

Mira asked while they were in the air “Should I check the details of the race?” Jake said “Yes”. Mira said to her IP ‘I’m targeting the Rank 7 Homo Azards’. Her IP responded ‘Understood’ and showed her a screen showing the details of the race:

[Homo Azards are children of Azards born when an Azard infects a member of the human race with its gene virus. The virus changes the body of the human and forces out the evolutionary potential of the human while mixing it with the traits of Azards. Hence the Azard can grow naturally only by improving its Azard trait.

Mira told Jake “It seems the Homo Azards are the children of the Azard. It might still be with them. The one I’m targeting uses aura”. Mira switched targets to other Homo Azards. She learnt that they didn’t surpass 80% High Human and 20% Azard mixture and that they either had Aura focused Energy Organs or Transmuted Energy focused Energy Organs. Mira could only assume her IP was trying to differentiate between Aura using Azards and Azards that used regular Martial Arts.

Soon enough the territory of the Azard came into view as well as the remains of Pentagon after some minutes of running. Mira and Jake were descending toward the territory when a loud cry erupted from one of the monsters on the ground, it was signaling the others of the intruders.

Mira used Nova on her legs and with an explosion of air she swiftly descended toward the monsters with a smile on her face. From the information her IP gave her through the Predator’s Prey privilege, she saw that there were no monsters below Rank 7 in this horde but there were about 3 thousand Rank 7s. This sight had shaken the way she thought of her achievement of becoming Rank 7.

It made her think ‘At the end of the day no matter how strong you get or how amazing you perform. There’s always some monster that considers you as regular. So there is no need to respect strength and no need to fear weakness since we are all monsters in our own way’.

The Diamonds that covered Mira’s body extended and morphed into armor as she descended as they increased in brightness. ‘Shooting Star’ Mira turned into a beam of white light as she used the skill on her whole body.

One the ground and in the air there were many various types of Rank 7 Azard ranging from human to monster half Azards. Mira had landed head first on one of them and the impact made the body of the Azard explode. An earthquake spread out from the spot where Mira landed on and a crater formed there.

The Azards were destabilized but they still spammed Mira with long range attacks while Azards with close range capabilities came running toward the crater where she was.

The close range Azards found Mira getting up in the crater. When she fully stood up she looked at the Azards with glee as she thought ‘Let’s play’. ‘Galactic Nova’ a dome of swiftly Diamond expended out from Mira and kept spreading towards the Azard that were now approaching her.

The Diamond dome passed though the ground with no hindrance, it was immaterial. The dome swept through the close range Azards as it expanded further and further, sweeping the long range Azards getting thinner and thinner until it was no more.

The close range monsters didn’t even notice what happened as the Diamond dome expanded to fast for them to sense. Before they knew it their brains exploded along with the vital organs of the other Azards that had been touched by the dome.

2, 734 Azards fell dead as Mira walked out of the crater she made with her landing. Diamond particles flew from the corpses of the monsters toward Mira as she looked toward the Pentagon building as she thought ‘If I help get the knowledge for nukes I should have paid Jade back for his help’.

Mira turned into a stream of light as her figure shot towards the Pentagon building. The Rank 7 Azards retreated hastily after she destroyed them. Rank 8 and 9 Azards that Predator’s Prey didn’t tell Mira about ran toward her.
