Jade waved his hands and said “See ya!” Avatari waved and said “Bye” and her illusionary figure disappeared while Jade teleported away. He arrived in his lab worried; the problem was that he had just evolved so he would need more time to make his best work. He steeled his resolve and decided to do his best.

He thought ‘First things first. My space rings are the creations that will be judged for the first round. I don’t think she can beat that considering I developed space tech when I was still human. For the one I’ll make before 12 tonight I have to use the knowledge I already know and enhance it with my race’s new capacities.

Jade sighed and thought ‘There’s a lot I don’t know how to use properly when it comes to my evolutionary advantages. I should focus on using the knowledge I have more than my new features. Still, I need to understand how my Soul glyphs work in the physical world’.

Jade was quiet for a while and thought ‘The glyphs seem to need conditions to show their effect for instance the Cosmic-Soul and Space glyph’. Jade simply desired to move a few meters forward and he found himself in the location. He thought ‘Is it only teleportation?’

Jade considered the idea of reducing his size with dimensional manipulation and he shrunk without doing anything. He controlled his size until he was 5 foot 8. He thought ‘I just have to wish for it to get it’.

Jade opened portals, performed spatial slashes, telekinetically moved objects by moving the void of space, and did so many other things with the Soul glyph combination of Space and Cosmic-Soul. Jade noticed a weird detail ‘There is no energy cost. Or it could be that the energy cost is so low that I didn’t feel it’

Jade seriously checked his energy expenditure and came to the conclusion ‘There really is no energy expenditure. I just wish for it and it happens. Isn’t this too much power? What am I supposed to do with powers like this? How am I supposed to feel desperate in a fight?’

Jade slapped his cheeks and said ‘I can’t get overwhelmed by this little ability, I have to learn more and get even more powerful, in order to face the Infant Ocean Master and to beat Avatari. The next is the Dread-Smith glyph’.

Jade stood in place for a while, not knowing how to use the glyph in the physical world. He thought ‘I can’t just try everything that I think might work, I need a clear way to use these glyphs. The only thing I can do is study how I used the other soul glyphs and see what triggers them’. He focused on his soul realm and went to the asteroid that represented his memories of using the Space and Cosmic-Soul glyph to automatically manipulate space.

He relived the memory again and again, thousands of times in a short moment, reviving the feelings he might have ignored, making it seem as if he repeated his actions thousands of times. He focused back on the physical with the answer to his problem in hand.

Jade thought ‘The Cosmic-Soul glyph can transmute any form of energy to another with 100% efficiency, that’s the ‘Cosmic’ part. It also interprets the desires and thoughts that I have and communicates them with the other soul glyphs, that’s the ‘Soul’ part.

The Space glyph allows me to connect to space… no more like being one with space. What I’ve been doing is just using the Space glyph to do simple tricks I’m sure there are other benefits that come with being one with space.’

Jade tapped into the feeling of being one with space as he used the Space glyph. He sunk deeper into the feeling of the glyph and grasped a new capability. The void in front of Jade swirled as he moved it, mixing it like soup. The space listened to him like he was space himself and was just controlling his own body. Jade thought ‘I’ll just do something simple’.

He created a circular portal and then deactivated the space glyph. Jade looked at the swirling darkness before him. The portal was open but he was not using any energy to maintain it. He had permanently changed space, the space would only go back to its normal state if he willed it so with the Space glyph. Jade thought ‘It’s like I’m the universe. I made a wormhole’.

Jade floated through the wormhole he had just created and arrived in another part of his lab where another wormhole was. Jade looked back at the wormhole and said to himself ‘This is awesome’. The moment he decided he would keep the wormhole for a while his IP showed him a notification.
