Tian said “We should wait for Daisuke, he will get here soon”. Mira affirmed and a few seconds later a beam of light stopped at the mouth of Tian’s cave, it was Daisuke.

Tian said “Now that you’re here we can begin assessing our next opponents”. Mira said “Wait” to Tian and said “I didn’t see your fight because it was around the same time as mine, how was it?”

Tian said “I’ll show you”. A small white portal opened beside Tian and he brought out a golden ring with a diamond like crystal on it. Mira said “Wow, wow, wow, I’ve only known you for some weeks, take it slow man”.

Daisuke chuckled and Tian manifested the most confused expression he could muster. Daisuke sent Tian a psychic message explaining what Mira meant. Tian snorted and said “I would go after Daisuke before going after your ugly ass”, causing Mira to burst into laughter.

After Mira’s laughter died down, Tian held up the ring and said “This is a Holoring. I’m going to check the internet for a recording of my fight and our future opponents’ fights; although my fight isn’t worth watching”.

A hologram of various neatly arranged tabs sprung from the crystal on the ring. Tian controlled the tabs and searched for his name. A new tab showed up with various links related to him and he selected the only link with a video preview on it.

A new tab opened and Tian threw it toward Mira and Daisuke for them to watch the video while he searched for the fights of their next opponents.

The tab expanded into a box, allowing Mira and Daisuke to watch the fight in actual 3D. Tian’s opponent was a [Rank 23 Mineral Human (Tdferite)]. The person was an average sized human with skin made of a blue pearl like rock. The person had bracers made of gold with a pattern made of red ink on his legs and arms.

Tian’s opponent had a conflicted and worried expression as he compressed his energy zone, making it outline his body. It was clear that he was not used to the idea of having to spar with a monster. After killing so many monsters to get to where he was, now he had to fight one without killing it.

Daisuke thought ‘As expected, this event is supposed to help people get used to staying with monsters since Feng lives with them and since he wants humanity to accept them as sentient beings, not just a previous source of en-code’.

Tian’s opponent dashed toward him, his legs blurring as he accelerated. Tian’s energy zone flared out for a moment, covering his opponent before returning back to his head.

Tian’s energy curved and twisted afterward as he started casting two spells. The opponent reached him before any of the spells were completed and one of his arms elongated and morphed into sword bladed which he thrust towards Tian.

A beam of orange energy followed the thrust and pierced through Tian along with the arm that had turned into a sword blade. The Mineral Human shook in terror as he tried to assumed the penalty of killing was death. The Mineral Human shakily removed his hand from Tian’s head before he noticed that he had inflicted no injury on Tian. The blade had just passed through Tian like he was an illusion.

Tian said “Don’t worry about killing me, I’m tough. And besides, Feng would stop you from fatally wounding me if it was going to happen. Take your time to calm down if you need it”.

The Mineral Human nodded and took a step back. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths before opening them. The conflicting feelings he had were gone now replaced by a firm resolution and confidence.

Sadly, Tian never stopped making his spell so when the Mineral Human opened his eyes, he was greeted by 12 perfect replicas of himself; they were doppelgangers. The person looked at Tian with slight displeasure and puzzlement and said “The hell man?” Tian said “Don’t worry, it’s not cheating since I would have won you anyways. I’m just speeding things up”.

The Mineral Human was assaulted by the doppelgangers which only showed the capacity to morph their bodies and emit orange energy. The Doppelgangers were different from the Replicas that Chenzira, the Egyptian that Mira sparred with, created.

The Doppelgangers could be harmed but they possessed a similar amount of stats as the person they were made after. The Mineral Human easily handled the Doppelgangers but Tian kept making more and more Doppelgangers that grew closer and closer to his opponent in stats.

The more skills the Mineral Human showed the more skills the new Doppelgangers were capable of. Soon quantity overcame quality and the Mineral Human was beaten to submission.

The host said “Such a broken spell, will anyone be able to beat Tian if he successfully casts it? Who knows? We can only look to the next fights, for now Tian wins!”

The audience baptized Tian in a deluge of boos and a few people called him ‘Cheater’. His decision to keep casting his spell even when he told his opponent to relax and take his time had lost him the favor of the audience.

Mira laughed at the outcome while Daisuke shook his head. Tian said “Idiots those people, it’s not like I wouldn’t have won. The person who was fighting me hasn’t even stabilized his soul”.

Daisuke said “I don’t know if the person I fought had a soul ability”. Mira said “I’m pretty sure the person I fought didn’t have a soul ability. Or maybe I just didn’t give him the chance to use it”.

Tian said “I think the tournament is arranged so that those without soul abilities face those with soul abilities early. That way the fights will be more even the further it goes”.

Mira said “Likely”. Daisuke said “Start with my next opponent; I didn’t watch the person’s fight”. Tian air tapped a tab and it expanded into a 3 dimensional view of the battle between a [Rank 20 Frost Giant(Hyrrokkin)] and a [Rank 25 Human Variant: Witch (Avian)].
