[150,000 exp gained]
[Exp has been divided between you and your pet]
*DING* [Level Up! Lv.16 → Lv.17! Acquired 20 Free Stat Points]
*DING* [Your pet [Lilah] has leveled up! Lv. 26 → Lv. 27]
“Oh! Lilah, you finally leveled up!”
“Y-yes...honestly, you’re way too low leveled Master...”
“Ehehehe~”
Maria noticed that a while ago, Lilah had begun to stop receiving exp when she hit level 26. She didn’t understand why at first, but now that she leveled up and was informed that Lilah had also leveled up alongside her, she understood something.
Pets in Unitale couldn’t be more than 10 levels above their masters. It was a bummer for Maria since with all the high leveled monsters she was killing, that huge amount of experience would have power leveled Lilah by quiet a lot if such a restriction did not exist.
After all, the exp multiplier was always in effect since Maria always faced off against higher leveled monsters.
Maria had been grinding for only 2 hours now, but she soon felt that it was a little bit boring. All she had to do was ask Lilah to lure in a monster or two and she’d just burst it down with her usual combo of skills and attacks.
So for two hours straight, it was just a rinse and repeat cycle of [Faerie Fire], [Enchant: Poison], [Arc Swing], [Calamity Cleave], [Gehenna’s Eye], and a couple rounds of normal attacks.
“Ugh...I’ll try and get to level 20 before logging off...but...I still feel like I forgot something...”
Lilah came floating over and offhandedly said, “Hey Master...you’re a Priestess right? So why aren’t you ever healing and always attacking like a warrior instead?”
Her words immediately lit a light bulb in Maria’s head.
“Ah! Now I remember! I forgot to ask Hella about the class skills! Awww...”
“...”
‘My Master...she’s strong...but she’s kind of an idiot...’ Lilah thought. She didn’t think it was a bad thing...actually, she even thought that her Master was even kind of cute like this.

She maybe an idiot, but she obviously wasn’t stupid. From Lilah’s observations, the way her Master fought was pretty optimal and she’d always aim at the monster’s fatal spots and took every advantage she could get from her wings, skills and the environment.
Her master was just a little ditzy and clumsy sometimes. She was also pretty forgetful, but she did pay attention to the small stuff. Like for instance, this next dialogue.
“Hmmm...Master, as I’m your familiar, I’ll take it upon myself to remind you of things just in case you forget!”
“Really?! Thanks Lilah! Ehehe~ familiar huh...that sounds much better than calling you a pet~”
“...Whatever suits your dandy, Master,” Lilah answered while thinking, was this really what her Master should be paying attention to?
“Hmhm~”
Maria continued to hunt the monsters in the plains for another 2 hours before she grew bored of it all. She did manage to gain another level and with that, so did Lilah. Maria was now level 18 and Lilah was level 28.
It was about time for her to logout, but she did a quick check of her skills before doing so.

Since these two were her most used skills they had obviously gained a couple of levels. [Gehenna’s Eye] was an Epic ranked skill so it was pretty hard to level up despite her using the skills just as frequently as she did the first two. However, she did gain plenty of proficiency points from her continued use of the skill.
Maria did have [Revive] and [Angel’s Compassion], but since there wasn’t ever a need to use those skills they obviously didn’t gain any proficiency nor levels.

“Hey, wait a minute...now that I think about it...don’t I have [Cure], [Heal], and [Regen]?”
Maria immediately opened up her inventory and found the skill books lying around inside.
“Ah! I’m so stupid, how could I forget about these?!”
Maria made an agonizing face. She remembered to use the [Revive] skill and the Pet Egg, but how could she have forgotten about her previous rewards?
“Ah! I also had [Smite]! Gaaahhhh, it’s an offensive skill! I could have grinded for proficiency points during those previous 4 hours!”
Maria began to inwardly berate herself, she resolved herself not to be so forgetful next time. Lilah sighed seeing her Master like this and she further strengthened her resolve. The little fairy was now going in the direction of becoming Maria’s personal secretary instead of her familiar.
“Can’t go crying over spilt milk now can I...”
Maria pulled out all 4 skill books and immediately patted them on her chest one by one.

Seeing the 4 new skills in her [Skill] window, Maria smiled in satisfaction.
“I have 2 of the basic priest skills now...I’ll go check if there are any other skills I can learn from Miss Hella tomorrow! For now, I wanna sleep!”
Maria dismissed her [Skill] window and opened up the [Main] window. She was just about to logout before she remembered that Lilah was still there.
“Uhh, Lilah? I’m about to logout...will you be okay?”
“Oh? Master will be returning to your world now? Okay, please [Dismiss] me before you head back.”
“O-okay...I’ll see you later then Lilah!”
“Likewise, my Master,” Lilah said as she curtsied in midair.
Maria had to say, that small one-piece plain black dress of hers was pretty cute. She decided that next time, once Amanda had become a successful Tailor, she’d commission a new and stylish black dress for Lilah.
“[Dismiss]”
At her command, a small magic circle appeared just behind Lilah and it sucked her inside. Once Maria made sure that Lilah had disappeared, she quickly hit the [Log Out] button and called it in for the day.
