Normally, I’m on a boat, out in the sea!

It’s deep waters somehow makes me feel free!

I’m a cruise ship director, boss of the guests!

Giving the job, nothing but my best!

I love to travel and bike ride but that is not all that I love to do,

I also love boxing and see sky rises that have a great view!

During my job last week, I heard some guests talk,

I had encountered them as I had my much-loved daily walk.

My job can’t prevent me from hearing what they say,

But now, I’ve heard of such a thing more than once a day!

Yet, why I am here, upon the land,

Was because I was looking for something quite grand!

Upon my travels, there’s an interesting piece,

The rumors about it never seem to seize!

Upon loving many things, I know I’d love this,

It is most definitely something that I don’t want to miss!

Curiosity got the better of me and now I am here,

Looking for some place known as ‘Dear’.

It seems to be the place, to get what I’m looking for,

But I start to disagree, upon looking at the door…

It was all pretty, like I was in the wrong place,

Standing there for a moment, I was in a daze…

Did I make a wrong turn? Did I get the address wrong?

Perhaps being at sea, I’ve been there too long!

This place seemed to be a lady’s book club store,

With lace, flowers and so much more!

With not much choice, but to go in and see,

I see a hell of a lot of ladies looking at me!

Looking around, I see I was actually right…

Because there was something that came into my sight!

I have come from a far, to reach this place,

Yet, before I can do anything, someone’s in my face!

“What can I do, for you?” the woman said,

To look at her, I had to lower my head…

“I’ve come for the obvious and was sure that it is here.”

I had pointed and made sure that my voice was really clear.

She had left and now came back,

Holding in her arms, something in a pack.

Knowing what was in it, excitement run through me,

I smiled at her in pure, utter glee!

She went to the desk, so that I could pay,

Happily giving her the money, I quickly got out of her way.

The book I had been waiting for, was now mine,

Having to enter that strange place to get it, it was still fine.

It was this book, that I specifically wanted to get,

But I had to return to my job, so I couldn’t read it yet!

Everyone knows, how great it is, everyone knows its name,

What I had wanted to read, it’s called, ‘Mystery Flame’!
