《Book of TLC (Poem Book)》Watching Oma Walk (Poem)

(I wrote this over a decade ago, it has a bit of 'christian' stuff in it, bleh, so forgive me lol! Oma was christian and this was written as she was having her last days and a day after she was gone.)
With many people around your bed,
A lot of funny and serious stories were said.
You brought half the family from interstate,
Hoping to say goodbye and not be too late.
I, your great-granddaughter, haven’t seen you in years,
When I walked into your room, I was surprised with all the peers.
I’m so glad my mum asked me to come,
I was able to say goodbye, see family and some.
I don’t remember you much, I have to say,
But, weird as is, I felt peace just watching you lay.
I met B* and J*, I won’t forget them for sure!
What they had said, especially B*, before we did the tour.
For I had not been in Melbourne, or anywhere, for ages,
Well neither of us kids and dad has, like we’ve been in cages.
Being pregnant, with your first great- great-grand child,
Taking this trip, a bonus, before junior goes wild.
So here we are, trying to tell you it’s ok to go,
But you’re a fighter, I’m so proud, because you’re saying ‘No!’
We are trying to show you the stairs,
Having chocolate, pretending angels, as though they were dares.
We say the rosary, sing Christian songs,
It was almost like you had got involved along!
Sometimes, though you would have some troubles,
As though you want to say something but you lips only wobble.
We all say that everybody up there is waiting for you,
That you’ll be up there for R*’s birthday too!
You’ve done so much for all of us in your life,
Being not just a great-grandmother, a grandmother, a mother and a wife.
And with that, our beloved, you’ve gone to a better place,
We all will think of you, especially when we say our grace.
At least you're not laying there fragile and, well, stuck,
You can start in heaven now, becoming an angel with luck.
Watch over us from above,
We will always feel your love.

The Dead Poets
The year is 1959, and for its very first time, Welton Academy Boarding School is now accepting female students. Violet Ross is not only one of those girls, but the only girl in the graduating class. She feels as though she must face her fears entirely alone, until she comes across a quirky group of boys. Also known as The Dead Poets. Violet soon finds herself becoming rather close with one in particular..."I'm not entirely sure I even knew what constituted 'love,' until I had met him. Now the mere thought of him made me ache to be with him, to look at him, to touch him. I couldn't quite put my feelings into words. Even as I try, few seem to suffice. An entire sea of ink could not adequately describe my feelings towards him. It was almost as if all the stars in the sky were condensed into a single, twinkling one. The only words I felt could convey some of what I felt for him, easily fell from my lips. ' I love you, too.'"
