A confirmation notification popped up on Lucas's screen.
" YES!" Lucas exclaimed with his hand in a fist as he punched to the ground.
He almost fell on one knee again but he fought bitterly to stay up. Lucas walked to the front side of the ice block to see the Goblin King's face. He was sure the Goblin King had passed.
" What should we do? He is just standing there by Gryteng." Gaguk said in fear.
"It's been five minutes since the human launched that beam like magic. Gryteng must be dead if he hasn't broken free by now...." Gluglogs said in a panic.
"Instead of stating the absolute obvious does anybody have a plan?" Gliobax said assertively.
Silence entered the room, as they looked at each other hoping someone had an idea. Everyone just stared at each other. The longer they stared at each other the more they felt death's scythe around their necks.
" How about we fight? We have the numbers. It's just one human." Gaguk said breaking the silence.
" Are you stupid?! First the scouts then the entire army, then the guards and now Gryteng, even after he had swallowed the pill of evolution. What more can we untrained goblins do but die in front of him huh?!" Gluglogs said as he scrunched his face in anger.
Gaguks gritted his teeth and said, " Well, do you have a better idea?"
Gluglogs paused for a while and then said, " I say that we take him up on his earlier offer. I say we give him what he wants and maybe then he will leave us alone. We blame the previous actions solely on Gryteng. We tell the human that it was all Gryteng's idea but as his loyal subjects we could not object even if we did not like his plan."
" This is most probably our highest chance of survival. The human could have begun slaughtering everyone as soon as he casted that spell. He might be waiting on us..." Gliobax said.
Glaguks agreed with both Gluglogs and Gliobax. They had all been thinking of this option but were too afraid to say it until Gluglogs did.
" Gluglogs, this is your plan. I trust that you will see it through, right?" said Gliobax.
Gluglogs frowned and he did not hide his unwillingness to go.
"Gluglogs, every second wasted here is another you give to the human to make the decision to kill us all. Just ask him what he wants in return for our safety."
Gluglogs looked at Glaguks but he seemed to agree with Gliobax. They had both singled him out to be the messenger. This was another reason why nobody mentioned this option because it was equivalent to voting yourself as the one to carry out the task.

Gluglogs harrumphed as he opened the door and walked out of the house, on to the road and towards the human standing next to the block of ice.
Lucas saw the goblin walking up to him. So while the goblin was walking to him he stared at the goblin with the same indifferent gaze he gave Gluglogs fellow goblins. Lucas wanted to instil fear in this goblin from the start as Lucas had no means to defend himself in his current state. However, he was not going to let these treasures pass him by. Even if he could not store it he would take what he could.
Gluglog's heart palpitated as he was being stared down. Gluglogs eventually got to Lucas and he said " Oh magnanimous one. I ask that you please revisit the previous terms you gave us. We give you treasures in return you spare us. We are sorry we did not first take you up on your offer, but it was all Gryteng our leader's idea. As his subjects, we could not object to his decisions. Please do not punish everyone because of one."
After Gluglogs spoke there was complete silence. This continued for about a minute. Lucas pretended to be in deep thought as if he was trying to find it deep in his heart to forgive them for their actions. Truth be told this is exactly the situation Lucas had hoped for. He had no strength to fight off the remaining goblins and even if he did the return on it is so minimal it's barely noticeable. This was truly the best outcome.
Lucas scratched his chin and then said " This was my previous terms and conditions. Yet you chose to violate it and now you dare come back and offer me the same deal!
Gluglogs was panicking, his heart was racing, he was sweating profusely. He looked down the road to Gliobax and Glaguks and then faced forward and said, " It is as you said. We do not deserve the same offer you graciously gave us last time. We will bring you all our treasures and you can choose however much you want. We hope this appeases you."
Lucas nodded his head signalling that he agreed and shooed him away.
" Oh, thank you gracious one," Gluglogs said as he scampered away almost tripping over himself.
"That seemed to go a lot better than I expected," Lucas thought.
Gluglogs got back to the room Gliobax and Glaguks wherein and told them what had happened and what Lucas demanded.
" What are you telling us for!? QUICK, go and get the treasure!" Gliobax screamed.

Gluglogs ran off and went to Gryteng's room and started unloading all the treasures that they had stolen from the demon clan. Once he was done he commanded some of his other goblins to help him unpack it all.
They brought out what looked like a small treasure box. Lucas was disappointed to see that there was such little treasure considering the size of this box was small. " Why is the box so small. Are you holding treasures back from me!" Lucas said in an angry voice.
" No, gracious one. This box is special it can take on the size it's master wills it to take. When Glugogs said that the size of the box immediately increased and it was a lot bigger now. Lucas smiled with anticipation. Gluglogs and the other goblins were happy to see Lucas's excitement.
Gluglogs and the others started placing white cloths on the ground. When they were done they moved to the box and started taking various items out and placed them on the white cloth. Then Gluglogs said, " This is all the treasure we have and have kept for a long time. Please choose whatever and how many you want."
Lucas nodded this time showing no signs of excitement or joy. He wanted to seem as mystical as possible. Even though deep inside he was screaming with excitement.
" Isn't this treasure. Well, of course, I know that it is because they said it is, but like isn't this the situations you only read in books. I still can not believe this is happening to me! After a battle that was not too hard but it was my first. I get rewarded with such splendour, aah fate you are too kind." Lucas thought.
Lucas's eyes glanced at all the items set out on every piece of cloth. There were three white cloths full of items on it. Once this was done he paid more attention to certain items that stood out. The first one was a gold ring. Despite its lack of appearance it somehow caught Lucas's attention.
"System can you appraise this item for me?"
