What a weird place

I sit here in this warm cottage disguised as a waiting room, clothes now dry and far away from the fireplace I flop around bored

I get a strange urge to knock over the things on Mr butlers desk

Now that I think about it, everyone has been using magic recently, side, the monsters, those slaves, when will I be able to use magic?

I mean, I can't use magic like normal people because of my cheat skill, but what is stopping me from just using the mana in the air and sucking it?

I begrudgingly leave the warm comfort of the workshop and sit a ways from the factory outside,

picking up a handful of snow I ''suck'' it into a ball then toss it in the air and making it stay there with multiple up facing sucks

‘’have you ever tried reading a book while spinning around? It’s hard! Okay! Using magic requires a lot of concentration!’’ she seems to get really enthusiastic when the topic relates to magic,

I keep whispering ‘suck’ to add more piles of snow to the currently floating list

‘’what kind of magic is that? I don't see any constructs or runes, no incantations or gestures’’ side asks me in amazement, eyes glittering if they could,

what do I say? Do I just say it’s a special kind of magic? Do I tell the truth?

oh, carp she looks even more excited now, probably at the thought of a one-of-a-kind magic only I can use, is she the crazy research type?

‘‘Then how come I don’t feel any disturbances in the mana when you use it? Anytime someone uses magic, the mana reacts in certain ways depending on the spell’’ Uhh, Chap, what do I say? That it’s just my spell being special? Tell her this is all a lie?

I can feel some sort of energy getting sucked towards where I set my suck points to be, inside the floating snowballs,

it’s a good thing that despite being smart, she is really gullible

Ok, time to test out my new mana control suck! Suck!

I suck the surrounding mana into a ball shooting it at one of the floating snowballs,

the mana bullets hit its target head-on, only pushing back the floating snowball a little bit,

it seems that like everything, you need either a lot of levels or a lot of stacks,

''ah!'' she exclaims

good! fooled her!

I play around with mana, but can't seem to change its properties,

I asked side about how to do it, but she only replied with ‘change the mana through your body and eject it’ but I can't have mana In my body thanks to my cheat,

I tried and any mana that goes into my body gets immediately rejected and no amounts of suck can forcefully keep it there,

so that leaves me as a hole in the mana map and unable to use magic like normal people,

I also am unable to directly manipulate the mana like normal mages, only being able to affect it through sucking and apparently I'm not high enough in levels to suck properties into the mana,

leaving me only able to use pure mana based things like mana bullet or mana shield instead of the cooler fire bullet or water shield...

It is getting dark out so we go back inside the workshop receptionist area and have a nap after a meal, that cheapskate Santa didn’t provide any meals for his poor guests so I had to eat my own food,

I take off all my clothes and gag my mouth, I get a weird feeling but quickly dismiss it, it has been a long day and I need some sleep

It’s the next day, I wake up with the muffled scream but after some deep breaths the pain lessens and a new unidentifiable feeling is there too,

too faint to tell what it is but just enough for you to acknowledge its existence,

I take off the gag, get dressed and have breakfast in time for the butler reindeer to come out the door,

‘’it appears the snow storm has lifted, I hope your stay with us has been a pleasure and farewell’’ he says while escorting us out and slamming the door behind us

We exit the workshop and walk a few meters before turning around only to find an empty clearing

‘’You saw that workshop too, right?’’ I receive a stunned nod from side,

‘’do you think that was real?’’ side asks me this time to which I respond with a nod of my own,
