《The Abandoned Disciple》Chapter 13

The next morning came and they headed towards the restaurant like always. They did not see the chicken lady like usual so they headed straight to the restaurant.
Inside, they were greeted by the many children who came for Relic's stories while the parents also gave quick greetings.
It was a nice change of pace for Relic who thought the hectic days were over.
What they didn’t realise was that at this time news was spreading about Pascal teaching cultivation.
Soon, the whole town learned that their own Pascal would be teaching cultivation and that she wouldn't even charge anything to learn!
The two exited the restaurant to find a group of 60 or so people gathered outside the restaurant.
“Uncle, should I not have said anything?” although in her heart she was now a young women, she was still a bit nervous when she saw this huge group.
Relic sighed.
“Pascal, even though you just came back, a promise made must be kept.”
Suddenly, a middle aged lady stepped forward.
“Ai ya, Pascal, I didn’t realise you were planning to teach cultivation classes. Since that’s the case, I will return to you the manual you gave me and I will instead attend every single class!” She passed the manual to Pascal.
She saw the strange manual and flipped through its contents with shocked eyes. “What a unique manual, this method should on par if not greater than what we have at our Thunder Storm Sect!”
“Uncle, is it okay if I teach them this cultivation method?” She asked
This was actually for the best as she was not allowed to teach what she learnt from the sect. first class sects would never release their cultivation techniques to the public and made their disciples swear to never reveal it.
“o-ok….” He replied
“Teaching a bunch of random mortals the legacy of the heavens sunder sect? Well…. I guess at least this way their legacy will live on.” He shrugged helplessly
The people in this town lived in a relatively unknown and peaceful town. There was nothing extraordinary in this town so there were few cultivators here that would come by for a rest along their journey. Thus, there were no sects or branches of sects that were stationed here and children who wanted to learn cultivation would have to walk great distances to major cities in order to learn.
To learn cultivation for anyone outside a sect was truly hard. Of course, one could try their luck with buying manuals on cultivation but more often than not, those would be duds.

The group that came to Pascal’s lessons were largely formed by women and the children who they brought to accompany them. She was nervous at first but she soon found that these women were very intent on learning and did not cause her any problems.
She would perform certain stances and moved slowly for the women to follow. Before long, morning transitioned to the afternoon and many crowds were now gathered to see a small group of women and children moving in a similar fashion.
“Ah, is this the cultivation class I’ve been hearing about?” a voice was heard in one of the gathering crowds.
“A free class on cultivation... tsk, tsk, probably just a scam.” A wandering cultivator said with a sneer
There were many criticisms coming from those who were observing this group but it wasn’t filled with hostility. They lived in a world where the strong ate the weak, where secrets were closely guarded and you could only look after yourself. They just couldn’t help but be doubtful that an elderly woman would be teaching any real cultivation technique.
However, as the women and children finished their cultivation section many of them had a smile on their faces.
“Amazing, I feel like I have an endless amount of energy!”
“Yea, it feels like I could do anything!”
“Does my skin look smoother to you?”
Almost instantly, the group of women were happily chatting with each other on what they were feeling. Even the children were affected and began to happily run around.
The crowds surrounding the group became curious and began questioning the women on how they felt and were met with only positive response.
Relic had been standing at a corner while Pascal was teaching and was thoroughly astonished at what he saw from this group.
Others probably could not tell as they were not strong enough, but Relic was a top class expert and saw how the heavens moved and circulated around the women and children. As soon as they entered the meditative state, they were all able to quickly grasp onto a heavenly thread. None of these women had any particular talent towards cultivation yet it was as if the energy from the heaven and earth were drawn to them.
“Such a tyrannical cultivation technique! If they continue to practice they should have no problem breaking through the Qi gathering stage within a week!” he murmured to himself.
It should be noted that when Pascal had taught Relic as a kid, it took him over a year to break through the Qi gathering realm. Yet, he saw it was possible for these women to advance within a week! If any sect got wind of this there would definitely going to be trouble.

The women all surrounded Pascal and thanked her for teaching them.
“I’m glad you all were able to learn, but remember, cultivation is not a simple thing and requires hard work and dedication to truly benefit a person.” she said sternly
“Pascal, will you continue to teach classes, next time I will bring my husband as well!”
“Yea, yea, me too. I will also bring my brother and younger sister!”
Seeing the group of excited aunties, she somewhat felt a sense of belonging and agreed to continue to teach.
Thus, three times a week, Pascal would begin teaching in an open space within the town and anyone was free to join in..
Before long, news spread to the four corners of the town and even more people joined in. Wandering cultivator’s thought this was a scam at first or at the very least, a very entry level cultivation technique. However, out of curiosity, some joined the class and were shocked beyond words. The cultivation technique taught was actually something much higher than what they were learning themselves. These wandering cultivators immediately abandoned their own cultivation method and began learning from Pascal as well.
Even with teaching now in her schedule, she became extremely motivated every time she saw the happy faces on everyone’s faces. People treated her with respect and gratefulness which was a new sensation to her. It felt real and completely different from the compliments she received in the sect.
She met new people every day and felt genuine friendship with the people in this town. Alongside with Relic and Shiro, everyday felt like a perfect day to her.
Like this, three weeks passed by and everyone in this town became connected to the cultivation technique one way or another.
……
Elsewhere, there was currently a commotion brewing between the elders and the sect master of a first class sect.
“This….how can this be! We only have records of a few stances from the Ancient Sect, the Heavens sunder sect, and yet it is being practiced fully, right in front of us!”
A group of elders were currently sitting around a projection crystal. The crystal was showcasing a group of people practicing the full stance of the heavens sundering sect.
“Quickly, have someone record the stances and copy it into a training manual. With this cultivation method, we will rise above any sect!” an elder was franticly issuing orders.
“How can we rise when everyone knows about this technique?” another berated.
“You, how long ago did this cultivation class start?” The sect master spoke to a man who was bowing on the floor.
“Sect master, this little one became aware of this because I was contacted by my cousin who was resting for his travels. He told me it was a recent development, probably only going on for less than a month.”
“There is still time, and it is almost certain the women teaching these classes holds the actual manual. That manual probably contains the complimentary secret technique of the heaven’s sunder sect!”
Instantly, all the elders were roused and their eye’s turned red with greed.
An order was spread to the inner most sect members to take on a mission. Core disciples as well as half of the elders all journeyed towards the small peaceful town.
…..
At this moment, in a small hut, two people and a dog were eating their routine dinner.
“One month and already at the third stage of the foundation realm. At this rate, you will surpass even me, within 20 years.” Relic sighed.
“Uncle is so strong, how could I ever surpass you?” she said cutely
“Hmph, you think your compliments will always work? I see you eyeing my celestial fin tuna!” His chopsticks disappeared in one instant before appearing again with the beautifully sliced fillet. Without hesitation, he gobbled it up in front of the teary eyed Pascal.
“Ah, uncle is so mean!”
“Fooling me so many times, if I kept getting fooled, I would never eat a tasty meal again in my life!”
Anyone could tell that these two had a very close relationship and the bond they created was no longer something anyone could deny.
Suddenly, Pascal’s eyes became solemn as she stared at Relic.
“Uncle, I was thinking...”
“Yes?”
“Maybe, I could stay here perman…..”
“EVERYONE LINE UP AGAINST THE WALL, ANYONE WHO DISOBEYS WILL DIE!”
