《The Abandoned Disciple》Chapter 15

The journey was not long and he soon stood in front of a gate. On top of the gate there was a sign which said, ‘Auxiliary Branch, Roaring Thunder Storm sect.’
An auxiliary branch could be said to be a regular branch of a main sect. Usually, supreme sects sought to increase their area of control and would consume smaller sects rather than outright destroy them. This made it easier to gain influence in foreign ground. One could determine an auxiliary branch by the prefix they use. In this case the Roaring prefix was seen clear as day.
He walked towards two disciples which were guarding the main gate.
“Halt, what business do you have here?” One of the disciples asked.
“I wish to meet someone, Kiro. Is he currently here?”
“Kiro?” they both had a confused look.
Relic frowned. Was Kiro not the current leader of this branch? Was it possible something had happened in which he did not succeed the position from the old sect master?
“Is Iris Isa here?”
“That name belongs to our Sect master. Unless you can provide adequate qualification, we will not pass on any message you may have for her!”
Relic was a bit troubled. During his travels he stayed away from Sects as much as possible. He definetly did not possess any qualifications which would garner him the ability to see the current Sect master.
“Should I just threaten them?” he thought to himself.
Suddenly he remembered he could ask about the names of his brothers. There was still a chance one or two of them remained in the sect.
“Is there anyone in this sect with the name Wen Kano or Kiba Kano?”
“I have not heard of a Wen Kano but elder Kiba Kano is currently in the sect. If you have a message, we can relay it but you are required to leave it in note form and with a payment of 5 spirit stones.”
Relic's heart thumped loudly when he heard Kiba was still here and was an elder. He didn't really have any high hopes for those two to have any high positions in the sect. Yet, one of them turned out to be an elder!
Suddenly, pressure surrounded the two disciples who quickly fell to the floor.
“I would like to meet Elder Kiba right now, could you guide the way?” He said calmly.
The two disciples were scared witless but managed to stand as one of them began to guide Relic through the sect.
As one of them guided Relic, the other made an emergency call to the sect protectors. However, He did not care, he did not even give it a glance.

The two continued through the sect until they reached a small mountain which read, ‘Residence of Kiba Kano.’
It was at that moment, several figures in the air descended, surrounding Relic.
“Audacious, you think my Thunder Storm Sect is so weak that you can threaten our disciples and barge in here?”
“You will be arrested and judged before a group of elders, give yourself up peacefully.” A chubby looking man took the lead and spoke. It could be seen from his red outfit, distinct from the silver outfit worn by the others, that he was the leader of the group.
Relic did not pay attention to him and instead shouted, “Kiba, an old friend is here to pay you a visit!”
The red leader was enraged from being ignored and ordered the silver protectors to attack.
However, just as they closed in on Relic, a hoarse voice sounded.
“Stop!”
The formation array around the mountain disappeared and a middle aged man appeared.
“I don’t believe it, Relic, Brother, you are still alive.” The middle aged man gave a big hug to Relic.
The surrounding group stood there stupidly and unsure what to do.
“E-elder, he…”
“Go away; he is my friend, return to your post.” The middle aged man waved his sleeve and the group quickly disappeared.
The two friends entered into the immortal cave situated high on the mountain.
“Brother Relic, it’s been over 70 years since I’ve last seen you. You also got your cultivation back! What have you been doing all that time?” He asked
A young girl was currently in the home of Kiba and brought the two some tea.
Relic looked at the girl before looking back at Kiba.
“Kiba, I came here today for two reason. First I want to know where Kiro is, and then I want to know what happened to my master! Was Kiro the reason master left this sect?”
Kiba's countenance froze before he gave a long sigh.
“Brother… a lot has changed since you were last here. It will be difficult for you to hear all of it…”
“Please,” he insisted.
“After you left, fellow disciple, Kiro, became weird and distant. He stopped cultivating and instead, began to frequent Red Sky city. Three years later, he stood in the center of the sect and screamed out, ‘THIS IS SO BORING!’ and immediately left the sect.”
“Your master tried to find him after but was unable to. She became so devastated she no longer journeyed out and people began to forget she even exists.”

Relic's hands clenched into a fist as he heard Kiba talk but did not show any anger on his face.
He continued, “6 years after, tragedy struck our sect. An army of cultivators coming from an ancient sect known as the Roaring Dragon Sect, came and demanded full submission of our sect. Of course we denied at first and fought to defend ourselves. However, it was a useless endeavour and many of our brothers died, including Wen....” Kiba’s eyes grew moist upon mentioning his lost brother's name.
“Just as the army of cultivators pushed through our sect’s final defence, a young man wearing golden armour appeared and waved them to stop.” His eyes reminisced of the past long gone….
A young man draped in gold stood in front of the army of cultivators, looking down at the half destroyed sect.
“Sect master of the Thunder Storm Sect, this does not have to end in any more bloodshed, just submit yourself to us and your sect will receive countless resources to use!” the young man smugly said.
“I…The Thunder Storm Sect surrender…” Botan bowed his head.
Like that the war was over. The remaining disciples dropped their weapons and dropped their head.
“Good, sect master Botan, you are a very wise man and should be properly rewarded. If I recall, I believe there is an elder position within our clan that is open and I think you would be perfect for that role. ”
Botan's face suddenly seemed to be elated. To be an elder of a supreme sect was countless times better than to be a leader of a powerful sect in a small country like theirs.
“Thank you, young master, for your generosity!” He gave another bow.
“But I also have a problem right now that I was hoping you could help me resolve.”
“Anything, as long as it is within my ability, I will do it!”
“You see, I seem to be missing a beautiful women to warm my bed on these cold nights. I wonder if elder Botan happens to know where I can find such a lady?” He said with a emphasis to the elder title.
Botan stood there expressionless. To his side were his two daughters, how could he not know what this young master wanted?
He looked to Pascal and spoke softly, “Daughter, from now on you will be the women of this young master, serve him to the best of your abilities.”
“No, father! I..”
Slap
Her father slapped her before she could even finish.
“Do not be selfish daughter, do you not see this god given opportunity that has been given to you!” his eyes seethed with anger at his daughter.
“Hmm, while your daughter does match my criteria, she seems to be a bit disobedient. My strength has not yet reached the strength she possesses. If she suddenly turned on me, I would not be able to do a thing. Elder Botan, is there a way we could solve this problem?” He shot a fierce glance.
Without hesitation, her father used a powerful punch and aimed it at his daughter’s abdominal area, instantly shattering her dantian. She screamed before losing cautiousness. She began to age slightly but she remained just as beautiful.
“Young Master, I gift to you my daughter!”
“Very good, elder Botan, welcome to the Roaring Dragon Sect!”
……..
Kiba sighed once more.
“After that, I heard rumours that Elder Pascal was subjected to humiliating acts. Finally, the young master was bored with her, but because she wasn’t always obedient to him he decided to punish her. He sent her to a brothel and made a statement to all that elder Pascal was there as a service companion. Anyone who attempted to help her would be punished with death. Countless man went to that brothel but after a couple of years, she had disappeared and I do not know what happened after.”
Relic's countenance remained the same but his heart was in a mess. The air in the cave was heavy and the temperature suddenly dropped as frost began to cover the entire mountain.
Relic stood and turned towards the exit.
“Kiba, I will return someday, at that time I suggest you leave this sect and go far away.”
Before he left, he turned to look one more time around Kiba’s cave and spoke, “You have a beautiful home.” This last sentence sent shivers to Kiba's spine.
Relic disappeared without anyone outside noticing.
He now knew the truth. The pains his master dealt with, he would repay it all! He once owed a debt to Kiba for allowing him to see his master when he was mortal; but now, he considered his warning as debt paid.
Kiba had turned rotten and that could not escape Relic’s eyes. To him, everyone who is a part of the current Thunder Storm Sect was guilty and he would deliver punishment!
