Ava didn't think that she would rouse up hearing the demonic voice. She starts grabbing her head as she feels that she sees hallucination once again.

Ava quietly put her palm on her heart as she thinks. Minutes pass as Connor awaits for Ava to set her mind straight and hopefully able to convince Ava that he is her ally.

"Ability to create ice." Ava reply as she slowly opens up her eyes.

Ava request easily foretold her true intention. She only wants to be accepted and be expected to take over the family household. She needs to persuade her father, having such powers will make his father alter his decision to marry off Ava to Nigel.

"Why are you silent on me now?" Ava shook her head and stood up as she is certain that she genuinely is hallucinating, she feels stupid for believing such things.

After bathing, Ava goes to the kitchen to grab herself a meal. Placing her food at the dining table, she then turns her view to the beautiful scenery outside.

Ava is trying to ridicule the demonic conscious but its as if she is forced to swallow her words when she sees her reflection upon gazing at the icicle at the palm of her hand.

Rubbing her eyes, blinking multiple times to convince herself what appears to be a miracle happening right before her eyes. As what they say, seeing is believing.

As the door opens, the butler turns his gaze at Ava while showing her a frown.

"Is something the matter milady?"

"Nothing too big for you to task yourself with, I just happen to see a rat scuffling about which surprise me that's all."

"Is that so? Well, the presence of a rat does concern me. Very well, I will inform the rest to take note of it. I take my leave now milady."

"Yes, please eradicate the rats so that I won't perchance happen on them once more."

After the butler takes his leave, Ava immediately opens and reveal the icicle on her palm that she unconsciously hid when the door opens previously.

"It's true then. I am not dreaming."

"But how? I didn't contract with any spirits that could allow any manipulation of magic."

'She once again brings up this entity call spirit. I wonder what roles do they play among the beings. My guess is to be the middlemen to allow being such as this lady right here to perform miracles which are known as magic ability.'

"Hey demon, seems like you don't know how great the spirits can be. Some of them have the power to control weathers and even create mother nature if they want."

'Nevermind I take that back, holy shit, let's hope I can even survive till world war 2. Wait, if I am to die now won't I be reunited back to my wife?'

Ava left the kitchen and advanced to her father room, ignoring the butler that tried to stop, she turns the knob and walks inside. Upon seeing her father, she stays at her spot while calmly calling out her father.

"Father."

"Forgive me, master. I am not able to stop her."

"It's okay, Gilbert. Leave us alone and close the door will you? I hope you can do that."

"Right away master."

The butler closed the door without any delay and left both Ava and her father alone in the room.

Meanwhile, Harry Philip continues managing some documents. Only then, he turns to Ava.

"Ava, my dear daughter. What can I do for you?"

Ava is disappointed after hearing how her father starts the conversation. It's been four years, four years of not talking to each other. Unconsciously, Ava grit her hand which she put it behind her back.

"Father, please cancel my engagement. I have change, father. Please believe me."

"Haha, I told Thomas to stop talking about this, didn't he tell you? No? Then listen up, be a good daughter will you and do what I told you to do."

'Ouh, so Thomas did bring up the topic to help out her elder daughter. Now if only her father gives a chance to listen to his daughter, things might go another way.'

"But father."

"No but's, you may go now. I expect you to be ready next week for your second meet up with Nigel."

Ava didn't reply to her father and tried to go back to her room. It seems the servant Gilbert has called for help. A young twelve-year-old boy that looks like her father, Harry, red hair with brown eyes stops her in her track.

"May I help you? Dear brother of mine."

As Ava is still down and frustrated being treated as an object by her father she unconsciously vents her frustration on her brother Chris that similarly treat her like so.

"Tch. You never change huh, day by day, I hear complaints from servants about your petty attitude towards them."

"Hooh? I wonder who did you hear it from?"

"So that you can fire them? I warn you several times now sis. If you bully them too often, the spirits might even retaliate."

'So this is Chris huh.'

Connor flies around the young man as he is interested in the man that supposedly the bad person in the picture.

'I can't believe I just said that. I am straight, straight, straight. This is just an act calm down Connor.' Connor even put his index finger deep in his mouth, but he didn't even get the urge to vomit.

Ava widens her eyes after hearing the demonic voice. She has forgotten about the demon that is currently possessing her.

"Is there anything else you would like to say? If not, I have to take my leave as I have something to do."

'What a surprise she does care about her brother even though he treats her like that. What a kind but a naive person.'

"Grrr..... Listen to me, sister! If you don't stop your bullying, I will have to use actions against you!"

Ava ignores his brother Chris and hurries back to her room. Upon closing the door, she starts talking to herself.

"Don't you dare do anything to my brother."

"YOU HEAR ME!? Demon!"

[Hmm fine but you need to find me another being for me to eat.]

[Ava oh Ava, you need to meet him personally. I give you twenty-four hours. You don't want a brother of yours to end up dead won't you?]

Ava begins gritting her teeth. She couldn't believe that even though she could use magic, nothing seems to have changed. She is still powerless.

"....Shut up, I know."

Ava does a couple of deep breathing exercise before changing her clothes.

Minutes after, Ava walk herself out from her household and tell one of the coachmen that she needs to visit Nigel, son of the baron.

The coachman looks confused for a second and tells Ava to wait a while as he prepares himself and drag the current horse to the stable. Unexpectedly Ava personal bitch can be seen hurrying out from her household. It seems someone has just told the maid about Ava intention of leaving the house. The maid can be seen sweating a lot and continues to inhale and exhale a tremendous amount of breath.

She appears to be very angry as she is cursing as she approaches Ava.

"M-Milady, where are you going?"

"Karen, I forgot to send you word that I'll be visiting Nigel today. Well, I can't be blamed when the person herself isn't always available to speak to."

"..."

Karen, aka the bitch, continues to glare at Ava as she is speechless. Not long after, the coachman approaches them with a pair of new horses.

The journey to Nigel house didn't take long and before Ava realize the coachman has already stopped the carriage and waiting for Ava to get off. Ava, in turn, starts to get nervous as what will she do when the people notice that upon meeting her, Nigel will end up dead.

Since Karen is accompanying her, she isn't able to converse with the demon. What if the devil takes his life immediately when they meet?

"Milady is something wrong? Do we go back now?" Karen frowns and unexpectedly reveal the truth behind the intention of her questioning.

"It's nothing."

'Sigh, I'm a hypocrite aren't I? The sole reason for canceling the marriage is so that Nigel and his family are safe from harm, but now I am personally doing father bidding. Looking from another view, I might be able to save Nigel parents if he is gone.'

Ava grabbed hold of the handle and got off from the carriage. She slowly walks towards Nigel household to somehow think up a plan, but unfortunately, upon seeing Ava, the guards can recognize her and communicate with each other.

The other guard proceeds inside the household to inform their employer.

"Greetings milady, how may I help you?"

"I intend to meet with Nigel, is he present at the moment?"

"Young master Nigel will be back shortly after his training. Allow me to escort you to the guest room."

The guard turned his head upwards and nodded momentarily. Ava didn't bother trying to know the meaning behind the nod and wait, though what the rest don't know that Ava starts to feel anxious about the meeting.

She does not hold any feelings towards Nigel at the same time do not have anything genuine to talk. The reason being that she is forced to meet up with Nigel, to sacrifice him to save her brother.

Ava continues to panic as she waits in the guest room.
