《The Aria Chronicles》Sudden Changes II

Reinforcements are coming!
I thoughts ecstatically as I looked at people coming down from the hill, though their numbers seemed little, only around a thousand, they are enough. The Orcs have more than three times a number of us, but we are still able to tell them back, and now we have received the reinforcement, similar to our numbers. It will be more than enough to tide if fight earnestly.
“Don’t think reinforcement will save you!” said the Orc and launched a swift attack with its Cleaver.
Seeing its attack coming toward me, I again locked my string strings on its Cleaver and tried to slow it down as much as possible, so my shield could block the rest of the attack.
Bang!
Puh Puh Puh
I again puked a few mouthfuls of blood as its attack shook my soul heavily, I moment I instantly let off the soul string from it I had been holding the last knife from, I have kept the knife back to kill those who sneak attacked but looked like I now will be needing that string for the defense, as for that knife I could control it with the normal soul energy.
With now three strings free, I feel a lot more confident in fighting against the Orc.
“Hehe.” It laughed, seeing my pale condition and again lanched attack, this time, its attack was powerful, but I did not fear it. I now have the three strings free. I am confident that I could slow down its attack at the manageable level.
Zip!
Its attack came again, and I attached my string to its Cleaver, but this time at three different spots, so I ca mess up its cleavers center of gravity. The two strings were not powerful enough to do the job so I could use the most direct way but three strings I can be very smart.

I did not apply any force of its Cleaver till it came closer to my shield which seemed to surprise it a little, but it did not focus it on much, but when its Cleaver come closer to my shield, and it felt grip on its Cleaver from three different sides, its expression changed drastically but it to t was too late.
Krrrr
I messed up its center of gravity little, and with the help of it, its Cleaver hanged the direction and only able to scratch my shield, which means I did not feel ant shock this time.
“You little shit!”
It scremed loudly as it expertly controlled its Cleaver and attacked again but with more power. I did not show any fear but excitement, last defense had given me great ideas and able to understand many of my mistakes controlling the string, if I can rectify that this Orc in front of me won’t be a problem.
Krrrr Krrrr…
Its attack came at me, but this time again, I was able to defend against it, not backing down it continued its attack with each of its attacks was powerful than ever. While the monster had become very frustrated and angry by this development, I became happy.
As we were fighting, the reinforcement finally came down and started fighting against the Orc. Their appearance changed the battle as our side is fighting more ferociously.
Though the Orcs may still have numbers than us, there is a huge chance that we will, so everybody changed the mindset from purely defending to killing. I, too, had the change, I first thought killing would be impossible for me, but now I am thinking it and already made the plan.
Seeing another of its attack coming, I took my saber in my hand and cut the soul thread from the shield and kept it floating with usual soul energy while used four soul threads on in Cleaver.

It was clueless about what happened. It had just attacked me, hoping to cut my body into two with its Cleaver. It had seen me picking up saber, but it did not focus on it too much as it did not think my saber would do much anything to it.
Sup!
I let ist cleaver come close and just as it came closer to my shield, I apply force on it through the four strings which have been already connected to its Cleaver and just as I have expected, It messed ist cleaver’s center of gravity so much that its cleaver wast able to touch my shield, its just passed by it.
To contend against immense power, one does need to have immense power. Just small bits of power used smartly would collapse that immense momentum. I just used force on its Cleaver smartly that ist completely messed its center o gravity and more force its apply on it, the more imbalanced its blade would become.
Slice!
As its Cleaver passed by my shield, I used that chance to attack it with my saber. My attack was squarely landed on its chest, though it was most of it was blocked by the Grade 2 Battlesuit it os wearing, some force it still able to infiltrate it and ready to give it a quite a pain, it is evident on its face.
“You!”
It said and attacked in a fury, but like every attack, it was also thwarted by me, and my saber again slashed across its chest, I was hoping to attack its neck, but this bastard easily avoided, so all I could do attack its chest again.
Our battle continued with no one getting the upper hand, but as the battle longs on, my control over the strings kept improving, that despite it using all of its strength, its not able to touch me.
Though I was not able to do anything against it, its still felt good to fight this powerful Orc on an equal term from whom I thought to run after the first clash.
“Bitch, You forced me, let’s see if your little telekinesis will able to bear the wrath of my Bloodline Ability.
Next second, I felt its aura rise. There as no physical change on its body except for its eyes, which started to become darker. First I was not worried about bloodline ability thinking it is common when I saw its aura reached infinitely close to the Baron Elite, I became utterly scared.
Its bloodline is power, more powerful than the common one. It is at least Advanced Tier bloodline; otherwise, it would not give such a big boost of strength.
I have decided to run! There is no way I could fight against such power, it would be quite different if I had created ten or more strings, but with four measly strings, I am no match for it.
“Hehe, You will not run!” It said seeing me about a move for a run and about swung its blade at me when It stopped halfway, and that exact moment, I also sensed something.
BANG!
I had sensed about think what it is when I found the head of the Orc exploding like a watermelon. It happened so fast that I was able to think about what just happened.

Polly and Drake
Drake has been searching for a job as a personal guard, but wherever he turns, he is kicked out without fail. It's not that he's terrible with weapons, or inattentive. It could be because of his obvious racial heritage. Or because of Polly. With his funds dwindling, the only remaining option is to become one of the Cursed: poor souls that work for the Dragoneye Guild. In other lands, they may be called adventurers, saviors or even heroes, but not in the White Desert. Here, they are shunned and ignored. Depraved people who forsook their humanity for money and fame. With this choice, Drake may not only fall from grace, but also become one of only a few thousands capable of unearthing the secrets of ancient times. If he could get this guardsman notion out of his head. May contain gore, violence, profanity and traumatising content. Taking another shoot at this writing business. I write for fun and when I have time. There is no plan. The story may change drastically from what it starts out - or not. We'll see what happens. Currently, I'm aiming for a Slice of Life with LitRPG elements at a later time.
