《The Aria Chronicles》Close!

"That was close!"
I said as I took a sigh of relief, the Elites are really strong, and can't underestimate them. Who would have thought that just based on its Strength type bloodline ability, it would be he would be able to come so close to me.
If not for my quick thinking, I would have had to run away from the battlefield, and I don't know if I am successfully able to run away from it or not.
'Looks like it's time I will start using it, it is time.' I thought but did not immediately act on it.
This will be a second elite that I had killed, the Elite I had killed before was the knight elite, and this is the Baron Elite. I first collected the stuff of its teammates before moving toward it.
Both its Guns and Axe are the Peak Grade 2 weapons and would fetch quite a reasonable price and not to forget there are Grade 2 Battlesuit and Dem bags. Each Elite is a treasure itself.
I quickly removed all the stuff off it and placed it in my backpack and Dem bag, except for the Dem Bag of The Orc, I am very curious to see what is inside it. I hope I receive something good like last time.
I spread my consciousness inside it and saw there were Gold Coins, Crystal coins, few soul stones, which was a nice surprise, other than that there were monster meat spare clothes and some miscellaneous stuff.
It looks like this Orcs had not come with anyone on our side as its backpack is empty, and its Dem bag did not have anything to it. After Collecting everything from the bodies and double-checking them again carefully, I hid their bodies in bushes before I went to find a good hiding place.

I found a good secluded place ten minutes later, I checked my vicinity both with my sense and my eyes and only when I am sure no is looking at, I heaved a sigh of relief and extended my soul thread into the finger of the right hand, and next moment, a palm-size silver disk appeared in my hand.
This is Peak Grade 2 Artifact my mother had given me before leaving; this Artifact looked exquisite with silver color and elaborate Runic design.
This Artifact is both offensive and Defensive telekinetic Artifact; the Shield could be used as the defense while ten knives that are placed at its back could be used as the offense.
This Grade two Artifact means they are blessed with two runic inscriptions, the Shield had Encryption of Toughness and Tenacity and while the Knives had the inscription of Sharpness and Silence.
This inscription is what makes it truly special, despite only having a limited number of defensive and offensive parts.
Most of Peak Grade 2 telekinesis Artifacts have at least 24 parts, but this one had only eleven, but despite that, it had cost more than normal Peak Grade 2 Telekinesis Artifact.
The first reason is a description, and the other is the material it is made of, the knives, especially, mother had told me that knives are made from the special Alchemical metal, which is heavy but also thin and good at absorbing the pressure.
I looked at the Artifact for a few seconds before I extended eleven soul strings toward the Artifact.
Soon the Shield started to fly up, and the Runes began to light up as it began to energy later started extending from it till it became Shield of one-meter size. The Shield had a palm-size reliable silver center while the energy purely makes outer parts of it.

Soon one and after another knife came out from the back of the Shield, these knives also in beautiful silver in color, but they are very thin, thin to the point that they have become semi-transparent.
One considers them light if they take a look at them, but these knives are quite heavy, heavier than the knives I used before; each of these knives weighs about a hundred grams.
They are heavy and lethal, but like all Grade 2 Artifacts, they also take quite a lot of energy, if I am not wrong then these Artifacts need about three times more soul energy than the Grade 1 Artifacts.
Though they require more energy, the power they also give is very great; if I had this Artifact from the beginning when I fought against the Elite, then I wouldn't have needed that much time to deal with it.
I played with it for a few minutes, and seeing I had gotten good control over it, I called back the knives into the Shield and latched it on the belt of my Battlesuit. Earlier I had a fear of letting others know I have Grade 2 Artifact, but now I don't.
If anyone asked which I doubt they would, I would just tell them that I have gotten it from some Orc, but for some time, I would still hide this Grade 2 Artifact. At least till I level up to level 2 which I think is not far as long as I kept fucking Richard for a week and have time to refine that energy, I am confident in not only reaching the Peak of Level 1 but also to the Level 2 would not be any problem.
I got up and walked out of my hiding spot; I now want to find an Elite to test my power. It would be better if I had taken out the Artifact in the beginning, by now, I would be able to test its power.
There are many reasons why I did not and first and foremost is a sentimental one, this Artifact reminded me too much of the home, whenever I remember home, my eyes couldn't help but get moist.
Even now, my eyes are quite moist whenever I think about home and my parents. They must have come to know about the pirate accident; I can't imagine how much pain they must be feeling.
When I was in Blackstaff, I really wanted to send the letter to my parents to let them know that I am fine, but I didn't; it was too risky. I can't let anyone know about my parents; it will be too risky for them.
I know my value and the more powerful I grow, the greater my value will be, and if they came to know about my parents, they could easily threaten their life.
My parents, who I used to think are strong, are as fragile as china in front of these people that even the least powerful scion of any big family here could crush them with ease.

Asturian Warbringer - A LitRPG on Earth
Currently releasing 5 chapters a week Luke Kells liked only one thing about himself: his green eyes. He hated getting bullied, hated being poor, hated being an orphan, hated his weakness, hated the government, hated his life. If someone had given him a button to push and kill everyone but him and his granddad, he would've done it without a second thought. Then, one day, after fainting during a beating, he woke up with memories that would change his life. Magic, martial arts, how to craft special artifacts; he knew it all. Anyone would’ve taken that path to glory at once. However, he had to deal with a lot on his plate first. To even begin walking that path, Luke first had to deal with his own psychological issues. Almost two years of brutal bullying that was akin to torture and no support from the school staff of the police had left him with a broken soul. Before even realizing he could be rich or powerful, he had to bring himself out of the mental hellhole he found himself in. Oh, and his memories also told him the Sentinel Tower would change reality in six months to protect the planet from the Demonic Horde. But that wasn’t as important as not making the local bully angry, right? A story about personal growth, overcoming obstacles, and reaching absolute glory at the end of the path. This is a slow-paced, character-centered story. If you want something faster paced, filled with almost immediate and nonstopping action, check out my other novel: Modern Awakening - A cultivation, LitRPG, apocalyptic novel. His cousin is the only person he can truly trust, but he must take a chance and put his life in the hands of others if he plans to survive. ***This is the first long-length writing I have ever undertaken, and I wish to get some critical feedback. I am not professionally trained as a writer but I have tried my best to teach myself and make the chapters as clean as possible. I believe I have reached a point where my limited skills cannot improve the work or make any more corrections. It is very difficult to show this work, but if I do not, I fear I will never improve and learn. So here it is. To anyone who lends the time to read all of this and any of my chapters. Thank you.
