《The Aria Chronicles》Meeting

Ramon is coming, there is barely a few kilometers distance between us, and it is closing very speedily.
Ramon had a soul seal placed inside me; it can restrict me from betraying him and also help him track me. When he placed the seal on me, the effect of the restriction was minute on me due to the effect of the tower and my bloodline.
Now with breakthrough and advancement in my bloodline, I could easily betray him without suffering any backlash and even could track him back through the seal, which I was not able to do back when I was Level 1.
“Gasp!” “Ramon!”
A few minutes later, I heard the rustle and the next moment Ramon appeared in front of my eyes, seeing him appear all of sudden, I acted like I would have when suddenly he appeared in front of me without my knowledge.
I perfectly created the reaction of shock and unbelievability as I saw him suddenly appear in front me. He did not come close to me and managed an appropriate distance between us as he looked at me.
He seemed surprised seeing me or the change I had in me, as not only had I leveled up, but my beauty had also increased by far that even without the lust aura which had been in control under the Bracelet, I have become beautiful enough to catch one off guard by my beauty.
“Where were you gone for the last eight days?” he asked directly, hearing that I produce the reactions of being stunned by the question before I put a sad expression on my face as if I am remembering the painful memories.
“I...Two half-bloods abducted me.” I said with a shaking voice, hearing that his expressions changed a little, but he had not moved an inch closer to me, seeing that I couldn't help but smile as he is employing the psychological trick of using the dangerous environment to get truthful answers from me.

Though it could not be said, he believed me completely, but he still believed me some, and as soon as I provided him with enough answers, he will believe me enough.
“How do you escape?” he asked with a straight face, “I killed them,” I answered this time, keeping my voice a little stable.
“How can you kill them, from my invitation the abductors of yours were powerful Viscounts, and hadn’t they taken you directly to their camp?” he asked multiple questions in a single sentence, building more psychological pressure.
“Th..They wanted to e..enjoy me first before they took to their camp and I had killed when we were h..having s..sex.” I answer shakingly. His eyes flashed a little in understanding. I am very aware that he is aware of the nature of my power, and knew how much people get lost during the sex.
“How can I not sense you before the evening?” He asked, hearing this question I couldn't help but smile inside. This is the most important question and answer that will make him trust my words sufficiently.
“They made me wear this; they said with the help of it they would be able to block the soul revealing my location to you,” I said as I took out thumb-size black rock which is attached crudely to the string.
He took the rock from my hand and started to observe, and a few seconds later, his expression changed drastically as he began to look at the black rock with starry eyes, “Soul Isolating Stone.” he whispered as he looked at the stone.
The Soul Isolating Stone is a very precious material; it is used in the construction of Soul type artifacts. Just tiny bits Soul Isolating Stone could increase the power of any Soul Artifact by 20%.

And the piece I gave him is a quite big and worth insane amount; this is the reason why after much thinking I decided to conceal the existence of the cavern it is made of Soul Isolating Stones, that amount Soul Isolating Stones is enough to make even Demigods heart burst with greed.
“Let’s go; it is very dangerous here.” He said and at the same time as a knife released from my hands, which pierce through Viscounts Orcs head, which was coming toward us sneakily.
It is likely attracted by my gasp filled loud voice, it had come a few minutes ago and was lying in wait to search for an opportunity to launch an attack, but unfortunately, it had guessed Ramons power wrong and made a huge mistake of targeting us.
We started walking through the forest; our speed is neither fast nor slow; it is perfect; we have come across some monsters while walking through the forest, but they are dead before they realize what had happened.
“How do you break through to Baron, before abduction weren’t you at the High Stage of Knight?” He asked. I knew he would ask this question sooner or later and already prepared an answer for it.
“Yesterday, d...during the s..sex my bloodline somehow advance, it had not only started the breakthrough and it also broke the energy seals they have placed on me which gave me the chance to kill two of them,” I said it again in a shaky voice.
When he heard it, he looked quite shocked as the advancement of the bloodline is no small matter as it brings more benefits than a breakthrough, especially when the bloodline is powerful.
Making advancement in the bloodline is extremely difficult, far more complicated than making a breakthrough in the levels, it can only be made through chance encounters.
“You really don’t know how your bloodline advanced?” he asked as I shook my head. I could see he had some doubts on his face as he did not believe in my explanation, but he did not voice them out.
We continue to walk in silence, and finally, four hours later, we got out of Nimbus Hiss. ‘it is time to tell him about what I heard from the Orc Blood’; this is very sensitive information, and if it does not hold then I might get executed.
From this information about the fate of the two cities and tens of thousands of soldiers lives depends on it, including mine.

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
