《Cheat Hero》Chapter 9- Magic Potential

As sun was beaming across Frolt empire, on a certain place in the empire 3 persons were entering towards a beautiful tall building, full of elegance on it was a sign with 2 words written on it, which is (Magus Guild).
The magus guild was the most powerful faction in the Western part, for magicians which wasn't affiliated to any families, they join the magus guild for work . As time pass the guild accumulated power comparable or if not greater than the 10 great families.
Being a mage guild the structure of the building was truly refined making anyone who see it, be amazed.
As the Hakua enters the building, on his side was his father and mother. Hakua was now 3 yrs old. They are currently here to test Hakua about his magic potential, which is necessary for he was part of the Auburn family which uses magic as its specialty specifically offensive magic.
He saw the interior decorations which made him think about how rich the magus guild was.
"Ahh, Rolant, It's been a while." as he was in thought a green haired man wearing a black suit like a butler approach them.
"Mr. Ben, it's truly been a while, by the way this is Celia and my son Hakua" He respond. He didn't dare to be disrepectful towards Ben. Actually he held Ben in great respect for Ben's full name was Benjamin Krolt, the vice-guildmaster of the mage guild.
"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Ben," Celia lightly bows to him, she knew Ben being the vice-guildmaster. Hakua also lightly bowed to him without saying anything.
Seeing Hakua's action, he felt something. He knew this this child, Hakua, is not normal. " No need to be formal" he smiled "I guess you're here to test Hakua." Ben guessed.
"Yes, He is already 3 years old" Rolant answered.
Hearing his answer, Ben called one of the guild attendants to assist them regading the test, and bid goodbye and left.
As Hakua saw Ben left they were guided to one of the rooms by a female attendant of the guild.
As they arrived. The room size was normal, on the center of the room was a square table with a transparent round crystal on the middle with the size of a fist. Seeing this setup, the first thing came to Hakua was a fortune teller.
"Lord Rolant, this is the testing room, I shall now leave the room." the attendant said. It was in their rule that during a testing only the child and its parent are allowed to enter. It was to ensure secrecy.
After the attendant left the room the knly ones left were Rolant,Celia and Hakua, they went towards the table.
"Hakua, give me your hand, I'll just prick your finger. We need a drop of your blood to activate the crystal."
Hakua just silently put his hand above the crystal and there a small needle appeared in Rolant hands, And prickled Hakua's finger.

On their side was Hakua's mother Celia, she was nervous and scared about the result of the test, she fears that Hakua will be unable to wield magic like her. As she saw Hakua's finger being pricked, she can feel her chest tightens.
The transparent crystal with a drop of blood above started to glow brightly with white light enough to envelop the room with light.
"Shit" Seeing the bright light Rolant can't helped but be amazed, because the brighter the light the larger the mana pool of a person. Seeing this light he thought that his son was a genius, he remembered that the crystal didn't glow this brightly when he test his magic potential when he was a child. Celia can't also helped but be happy about thia, she knew about what the lighting presents.
But what happened next, made them astonished and feel puzzled. Because after the light subsided the symbol of the element should appear but it didn't.
They feel puzzled for it was the first time this happened, there weren't any records about the crystal not showing the element.
Rolant told Hakia to drop some of his blood in the crystal again, but the result was the same. In the end they just accepted the result being elementless, by the way it was Celia to call it elementless. They returned home, Rolant didn't feel downcast about the result for he knew that his son has a large mana pool but elementless which was unheard of.
As they entered the mansion, in the living room, a beautiful blonde woman was siting on a couch on her side was Grant, he has an eye patch on his left eye. The reason for this eyepatch, it was because what happened a few months ago when Grant tried to rape Celia and the one who did this is Hakua.
--------------------------
-A few months ago-
"Master, are you awake?" A female voice rang in Hakua's mind
As he woke up he heard Sera spoke in his mind. "Yes. Did you finish what I asked you to do last night?"
"Yes, master" She replied.
"Good." As he said that he glanced to his side and saw his mother still sleeping, he can't helped but remember what happened last time 'Fuck, that bastard! I truly want to kill him but It's enough for now.' Is what on his mind.
"Oh Hakua, you're already awake?" It was his mother who just woke up, her beautiful face has a smile.
"I just woke up." He replied to her.
"By the way thank you for what you did last night. But remember whatever happens you're still my son." She said to her while smiling.
"It's alright mother, but he won't go unscathed for what he did to you." He said with a huge grin on his face.
"What do you mean" She asked shocked about Hakua's words.
"Hehe.. You'll know later mother" He said teasingly.
Within a large room of the Auburn mansion.

Specifically Clein's room,8 figures can be seen, It was all the members of Auburn family starting from Clea, Illia, Felia down to Hakua. Glenn wasnt here for he want to the palace. They were not speaking nor making a sound. They were just saring silently to a man who was Sitting on the bed.
"What Happened?!" The one who broke he silence is Clea.
"I don't know mother, It's just I woke up at dawn with my eye aching then after a few seconds the pain subsided but I CANNOT SEE WITH MY LEFT EYE AT ALL!!" It was Grant, who was lying on the bed, who replied frantically. He was scared at the fact that he cannot see nor feel his left eye at all.
"I scanned your eye using magic and saw that your nerves were severely ripped and damaged to the point that it can't be healed." Clea suddenly said. She was from the Hamelt family which is also one of the 10 great families which specializes in [Body magic], this magic is about strengthening the body using magic but this requires great understanding towards the body. Being knowledgeable about the human body, can easily identify any abnormalities in the human body.
"No way! Is there anything you can do? PLS MOTHER HELP HIM!" Clein cried in disbelief because of Clea's words. She knew what does that mean, it means Grant will become unable to see with his left eye until he lives.
"Im sorry, This kind of injury can't be cured by magic nor medicine." Clea replied.
Grant became pale hearing this, being his eye blind it will reduce his combat capabilities. By the corner of his sight he saw Hakua smile for a second which made him shiver.
He still remembered what happened last night, he was almost killed by Hakua easily, he was scared for the child was only 2 and a half years old. He remembered The child's cold gaze and tone, and the overwhelming power which is abnormal for a child.
Clein cried hearing her mother response, she knew that his mother was knowledgeable about the body. After a few minutes they left the room, for Glenn said that he wanted to be alone. After Hakua exited from the room her mother whispered to him.
"Hakua, can we talk in the room?" She asked in a quiet tone enough for only them to hear.
"Ok!"he replied he knew the reason about why Cella wanted to talk to him.
They went to the room, Rolant already left towards the Palace. After they went to the room they sat dow on on the bed, which is followed by silence.
"Hakua, do you know about what happened to Grant?" She asked while staring intently to him.
"Yes, mother." He didn't want to conceal about what he done.
"Why, Hakua? Didn't you consider what would you aunt Clein would feel?" She said with a somewhat angry tone. In truth she didn't hate Clein at all, she felt gratitude towards her for Clein treated her like her own sister.
"Mother, I know you'll be angry at me, but you are more important than Aunt Clein, I don't want to see you get hurt again. And I didn't broke our promise, I didn't kill him." He said to her.
"I know, it's okay" hearing her son rebuttal she knew that Hakua kept his promise about not killing Grant.a Part of her feel guilty towards Clein while the other is she felt relieved for the first time. She knew that starting now Grant can not harmed her again.
"Thank you! She said words of gratitude towards Hakua.towardsand hug him while crying.
----------------------
"Oh. Rolant you're back, How is the test?" Clein asked curiously.
"Yes, He has a large mana pool than me, but there is something wrong."
"What is?" she asked.
"Well. After the crystal shined, it didn't show what is his element" Rolant replied.
"Ehh? Weird." She exclaimed.
"That's why I need to consult this with father, is father back?"
"Noy yet, and he said there was an emergency so he went to the [Central] with mother to settle some matters. I think it will be a year until they will come back" she explained.
"Is that so." Hearing this Rolant felt dejected." by the way, Hakua next week you'll be going back to Arcand together with Celia."
Hakua just nodded. He was feeling tired, even he was stromg he was still a child, and went back to his room.
As he lay down on his bed, he was thinking why he is elementless while deep in thought, Rolant knock on his door and entered
"Hakua, I forgot to give this to you" Rolant handed small blue crystal to Hakua.
"What is this Father?"
"That is called a Status pill. After taking that it will allow you to view your status. Your status will show you your info about ypur name, race, level, class and stats but you still don't have your class so it will show blank." Rolant explained." It will take an hour for that to take effect."
"I-Is that so father." Hakua could open his status, he acted ignorant.
After his father explained it to him, Rolant left the room, a few seconds later Hakua had an idea like an enlightenment. He remembered that his class was a [Sword God] which in [Legend] ban him from using magic but retain his mana for his skills use mana.
'It was like in the game huh. But let me try using magic maybe in here I can be allowed.' He thought to himself but he fell asleep.

Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.

Return of Chaos
For the longest time, it was thought that the citizens of Earth were the only denizens of the galaxy incapable of developing superhuman abilities — but recent events have flipped that assumption on its head. Between Austin Travis, Mote Emerson, Pierce Bradley, and their friends, Earth is now host to 12 Chaotics… as well as a myriad of mysteries surrounding them. From a new nemesis in the form of a clone, to connections to ancient technology from a long-lost civilization, to the ability to summon powerful legendary weapons, these 12 Chaotics have unknowingly become entangled in something larger than any of them have ever imagined. As if in response to these discoveries, the sinister machinations of galactic evil are churning. The metallic infection, a calamitous nanotechnology “disease” thought to have been vanquished 20 years ago, is slowly returning — and alongside it, a number of conflicts thought to be long past. While they only seek to better grasp their own abilities, Earth’s Chaotics will soon find themselves in the crossfire of returning threats and old heroes. These superpowered Earthians may not have chosen this path through life, but it will still be up to them to determine if history remembers them — to determine if history remembers the saga of the Keys. Return of Chaos is a direct sequel to Chosen Chaos, which begins the Key Saga novel series. Be sure to read Chosen Chaos first, to understand the plot and the characters thus far! Additionally, the Key Saga as a whole takes place 20 years after Rise. You will not need to read Rise to understand the events of Return of Chaos, however the latter will spoil many of the events that occurred in Rise, due to the simple chronology of taking place later in the timeline.
