《Twisted Nerves》Reboot 3: The Oldest Dreamer

After what seemed to be weeks, the two now stood in front of the rocking waves of the sea. Their stomaches were so weak they couldn't gurgle anymore. If one were to lift their clothes, they would have been able to see Enyo and Thea's ribs barely covered by a thin layer of skin, which wasn't far from revealing even their organs. Their clothes were dirty and ragged, their cheeks caved in and their eyes resembled the ones of dead people.
But the the girls didn't care, feeling even more compelled to reach whatever being that was dwelling beneath the ocean calling for them. Though, as soon as Enyo was close enough, four black/dark-brown tentacles restrained her. The four tentacles viciously wrapped themselves around each of Enyo's limbs, gripping them so hard you could faintly hear her bones cracking.
Something came out of the water, but its form was so twisted and maddening that the only thing Thea and Enyo could make out other than the tentacles were the innumerable horns on its body.
'Quyagen..'
Thought Thea as she recognized the monster, well, deity. Still, it was puzzling as to how she knew such things, as she never read anything about Lovecraft's creations.
Thea continued to walk unperturbed. She didn't even look back, as Quyagen brought forth another tentacle that wrapped itself on Enyo's waist, then continued to move forward toward her intimate parts. Even as the monster defiled her, Enyo's body was so tired that she wasn't able to emit a single sound.
Once again, it was mysterious how Thea could know of such happenings even while they occurred behind her back. As she walked, Thea found herself to be completely immersed.
Underwater, for hours she admired the spectacle called nature that was unfolding around her, even though her body continued on its path unconsciously. She couldn't see much the deeper she was, but it still was a beautiful sight. The rays of the sun that managed to penetrate the cloak of water above her, sometimes would reflect on some exotic fish's scales, making it sparkle. Various shoals and schools of fishes of different and same species swam around, some to eat some algae on the ground, some to go from one place to another and some to enter a variety of small caves in the ground or in the rocks.

At some point, a huge crystalline being appeared before her as her body finally stopped walking. Thea tried to make out its features, but she was unable to. They stared each other for a while, before the being finally spoke
—It's been a long time since anyone entered my domain.
It wasn't really a speech, Thea noticed, as he had actually sent the message telepathically. Considering the state of her body and where she was, Thea decided to take a gamble and tried to respond using telepathy
—Who.. are you?
There was no visible change in the creature's body, but an oppressive air began to be spread around him, causing Thea to wonder if she had to bow her head to the divinity standing in front of her.
—I am Yorith, the Oldest Dreamer
—I see..
Thea barely answered, as she felt as though a blanket had been put over her mind, rendering her unable to think correctly. The two continued to stare at each other, uncaring of their surroundings, for several hours until Thea finally noticed her MP bar blinking for a second before it emptied.
Her surroundings immediately changed, she was no more under the sea staring at some God, she now was inside a monster's mouth.
Hers and many others' screams slowly made their way into her ears, and Thea recalled what had happened.
As they were leaving the city, the sky cracked. A humungous proboscis reached out from the other side of the crack, sucking in large quantities of players and some NPCs, Enyo and Thea included. Passing through the monster's proboscis, acid slowly dissolved everyone's skin. The NPCs would have to remain, but the players began getting automatically logged out after 10~15 minutes had passed.
Thea began hallucinating after 2 hours of constant pain. Now that she looked around, she noticed that Enyo had already been either digested or logged out. Her health was down to the last dozen points, but what intrigued her was how realistic was the representation of her own bones with molten muscles slowly detaching from them. And then, everything became dark.

You have died.
Needless to say, Isa was not pleased by what had happened. Sighting of Gog-Hoor were not unusual, but that it happened right on her first day and right in her starting town made it a bit annoying. Moreover if, like on the internet various people had affirmed, the next time she logged in she'd be randomly teleported.
When she heard her sister coming downstairs, toward the kitchen, she prepared a glass of water and gave it to her, saying
"Took you long enough"
Cynthia fumbled a little, trying to guess where the glass was, before finding it. She gladly accepted it and drank as Isa explained their situation to her, making her frown. After that Isa asked what took Cynthia so long, to which she answered
"I was busy with that hallucination"
"What hallucination?"
Asked Isa perplexed. To her knowledge, there had been no mentions of hallucinations in what she read about the event. Cynthia told her what she saw, tactically skipping the part where Isa was raped, and by the end of it, Isa still had no idea of what was going on.
They could just hope to not be teleported in a dangerous location.
'Oh yeah, I forgot to tell nee-chan it's mass-teleportation, so we won't end up separated.. teehee!'
Isa mentally stuck out her tongue, thinking about how Cynthia must be fuming inside by now. Yes, Isa was aware of Cynthia's siscon, mostly because she too really loved her older sister, but she still wasn't sure it was that kind of love.

Haven in a Dangerous World (Old)
Devin McMullen. Female. 18. Single dad. Dead mom. Good in fights and little else. No friends. Or, at least, that's what she's always been. Now, she's not sure exactly what she is. She's never been one for reading fiction, or anything for that matter, but this feels like something straight out of a fantasy. Her newly acquired instincts, however, scream dungeon core. Whatever that is. Unlike most dungeon cores, though, she's missing something very important. A dungeon. Stuck out in the open, above ground where she's definitely not supposed to be, with not a cave in sight, or any other land form besides miles and miles of ice and snow, Devin's not sure if she can survive. Update: Big caveate, though, just so you know. Started with this one idea and ran with it as far as I could. Characters and plot suffer from it, but I'm proud that I wrote as much as I did. I will rewrite this at some point and make it so it actually has plot. Check out my wordpress © [koallary] and [Haven in a Dangerous World], [2017].
