《Magical Cosmic》Chapter 25: Saving Butler Brown with Science

After dealing with him, I went back inside the tent. And just when my hand lifted the cloth of the tent, I saw Lillie gazing at me with a troubled look.
“What’s the matter, Lillie?”
Responding to my question, Lillie grabbed my hand before pleading, “V-Victor… could you please help butler Brown? He didn’t respond to Lillie anymore.”
“Hmm? Let me take a look.” I nodded before approaching the half-dead elderly man that would probably die if blown by a strong wind.
There were countless cut wounds on his body, all of them didn’t have much blood coming out from it. His body also looked malnourished as if he hadn’t eaten anything for a couple of days.
This… it’s insane that he’s still alive after all this. Furthermore, he probably suffers under that fatty. Ahem…
I shook my head before ordering ATHENA, “ATHENA, scan his body!”
[“Yes~! Scanning Commenced… Master, it seems that he wasn’t only malnourished and externally wounded, he also suffers lots of inner wounds. Although simple medicine will be enough to heal his outer injuries and wake him up.”]
“Is that so? Guess, I didn’t have any choice but to heal his outer injuries first before bringing him to the ship.” After murmuring to myself, I grabbed out some medicine from my dimensional storage. Fortunately, I had come prepared.
“Lillie, help me apply this medicine.”
“Uh-huh~!” She nodded.
After finish applying the surface medicine, I gave him a pill to stabilize his condition. A while later, his hand twitched and his eyes opened slowly. He gazed around the tent before stopping at Lillie.
“L-little miss… How come little miss was here? Hmm?!” Suddenly he looked at me before continuing, “Who’s this strange man?”
As I was a bit cautious of a foreign man that I never met before, his chain hasn’t been removed. Figures. This suit does attract attention. It couldn't be helped as I didn't want to be contaminated.
“You! Are you with those bastards? Leave milady alone! Or…”
Hmm… Despite his elderly and gentlemanly appearance, aren't he act way too straightforward? And milady? Why is he calling Lillie that so suddenly?
“Or what? Is this how you treat your savior?” I shook my head, but it seemed that he was still not convinced and tried to struggle.

Lillie interrupted from the side, “Stop it, butler Brown! Victor saves Lillie. He was Lillie’s hero.” The butler stopped flailing after hearing Lillie’s explanation.
“Please, pardon my manner just now. My head was still in turmoil of what just happened.” With that, I nodded my head in acceptance before removing the chain on the wooden board as it seemed that he wasn’t innately hostile to Lillie.
He then grabbed a few of his remaining brown suits from the table before wearing one of them. Covering the undergarment that he had been wearing when being tortured all this time. There was also brown gloves and brown shoe that made him look like men in brown.
He must really like a brown color so much… Well, he must have been confused and tried to protect Lillie, that’s at least still understandable.
Lillie moved toward him after he finished dressing up before asking with concern, “Butler Brown, are you okay?”
“Hoho… no need to worry, milady. This old bone certainly still able to last longer.” He stroked his beard before approached me and bowed, “Many thanks for saving milady and me, you have my full gratitude.”
“No need to thank me, I’ve my reason to do this.” My arm raised to stop him from bowing before continuing, “I’m Victor Petard Asterisk, an explorer.”
The butler then bowed slightly with his hand on his left upper chest as he introduced himself, “Forgive me for my late introduction, my name is Brown Moondust, I’m the butler of the Brightmoon family.”
Moondust? That’s a weird surname. Did the people in this world had a random surname like that or is this just an exception?
After casting that thought aside, I gazed at Lillie and said, “Let’s get back to the ship, Lillie.”
“Uh-huh~!” I then took out the three belts tracker before giving one to Lillie.
As she was about to take one, Brown suddenly interrupted by standing between us, “You… so, this is what you had been planning.”
“Milady, stay behind me and when I give the sign, please run outside!”
Huh? What’s wrong with him? Why would he suddenly react like that? Is it just me or the people that I came across in this world have a brain problem or something?
"Ahem… Could you bother to explain to me, what's the meaning of this?" My eyes frowned in suspicion.

"Stop beating around the bush, that thing in your hand is a magic slave collar, isn't it? You lolicon, I shouldn't have believed in you." Brown pointed to the belt with disgust on his face.
Huh?! Magic slave collar? What the fuck is that? And you said that I was a lolicon?! You’re the one who’s a lolicon, your entire family was!!
I held myself from coughing up a mouthful of blood before replying, “Cough* cough* No, this wasn’t a magic slave whatever. This is a tracker that leads to my spaceship, I mean my place of operation.”
Seeing that the butler was still not convinced whatsoever, I put one on my waist. “See? It wasn’t a collar or whatever is that.”
After a bit of inspection, realization clicked on his mind, “Ah… Please forgive me!!” Brown then hurriedly bowed his head to me before adding, "I had misunderstood your kind intentions two times. How could I repent my mistake?”
Seeing this, I didn't know how to react and decided to take a step back. "N-no, you don't need to do anything. I just need some information."
"Is it really fine to pay benevolent sir with only a piece of information? I suggest it to be something more.” Brown kept insisting, I could only raise my arm and gave a wry smile in response.
“Fufufu! Aha ahahahaha!” Suddenly the laughing sound of a little girl emerged, I gazed at the source of the laugh and saw Lillie laughing so wholeheartedly while holding her stomach.
I think this was the first time she laughs like that. Guess, that’s good since she finally cheers up a little.
“This is so funny!” Lillie wiped her laughing tears while approaching us before taking one of the belts and said, “No need to worry, Victor is a strange man that had lots of Magic Tools.”
"If it as what milady said then I didn't worry." Brown smiled as he took the belt.
After all of us wear the belts, I told ATHENA to activate the teleporter. I could feel the air becoming hotter as the burning of the camp finally spread close to the tent. A few seconds later, the same feeling of being teleported the first time came enveloped me again.
As my eyes opened, the interior of my spaceship filled my eyesight. Lillie and butler Brown had also been safely teleported and arrived beside me.
“Oh… my Lord…. Is this a teleportation magic?” Brown gazed to the surrounding in disbelief before trying to reposition his gloves as he swiftly moved toward me. “Is sir Victor a Magus? No… I had been impudent on all of my words.”
Magus? It seems that Magus does indeed exist.
"Well, if that what you think I was. Then, you can call me so."
After nodding in understanding, He then gazed at Lillie, especially her eyes for some reason before continuing, “I hope sir could spare some time later.”
Seeing the message that he was trying to convey, I agreed before patting Lillie's head as I said, "Lillie, you seem exhausted, go back to your room to rest. I’ll need to send Brown to the medical lab for further checkup.”
“Okay~!” She nodded before going back to her room.
After she was no longer on sight, I turned my back to Brown. “I know that you had been holding your inner pain all this time
“As expected of a Mag— Uhuck Uhuck…” I noticed that Brown’s mouth was leaking blood, as that could be seen spreading on his brown glove.
“No need to talk further, follow me!”
Afterward, I had Brown followed me to the medical lab. Although he had shown a curious look to the devices in the hallway, he held himself from asking.
As we entered the medical lab, I told him to lay on a medical capsule at the side before ordering ATA to scan his body. The capsule then closed and a while light scanned through his body from the top to bottom.
[“Scanning Completed… All kinds of inner injuries had been detected, here’s the list of it.”] Just then, a hologram screen was projected in front of me full of Brown’s injuries.
Luckily, it still wasn’t that severe. Although even if it was, this old medical capsule was still able to heal him somehow.
“Start the healing process!”
[“Affirmative!”] As ATA’s frosty voice finished being spoken, all kinds of medical treatment start operating and were giving the sound of humming.
